I'm attempting to modify the default FS airport scenery but I'm not able to find out which BGL file specifically contains my airport. Is there a database somewhere that I can search to find this out?By the way, I will be using Architect 2002.ThanksEnrique

Hi all.BGLCCodes.zip is a list of definitions and macros that are standard to BGLC 8.0, and may help with some coding problems related to altering Gmax derived BGLC code.If you are getting into BGLC coding, it gives an idea of how structures, macros, and definitions are organised. SCASM coders can also use this as a comparative resource... perhaps more important as newer SCASM floating point code is used by FSDS2 or NOVASim ( when released ).These elemental 'building blocks' also give some new insight to designers who are studying the Scenery SDKs.Dick

To fellow developpers,We have extracted interesting nav data contained in the FS 2002 bgl's (scenedb folder). Hi,I have made some small objects with GMax and created some textures.They appear fine in FS2002 but the textures disappear after about 50 meters away. The objects then appear grey. As I get closer the textures re-appear. The night textures work the same way.I have changed the ambient and diffuse colors to something other than grey but this makes no difference.I noticed there is a 'Default Fallback Color' in the GMax MakeBGL utility, which by default is checked. I unchecked this but it made no difference.I am using Gmax 1.2 - the texture mapping does seem more complicated in this version than in the previous. Am I missing something obvious here?thanksJames.

Hi,Since the runways are excluding autogen at a further distance I thouhgt if I apply the code with the transformcall that made my photogrid autogen friendly maybe it will leave autogen near runways too. Greetings,I have acquired raw data sample from the Fredericton New Brunswick Canada area.The files are *.xyz, ASCII format. The standard used to create them is Nad 83 Datum.I understand that I need to convert the *.xyz files to a DEM format in order to use them in FS 2002.Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can do the conversion?Tanks for you help.

Hello Captains, i have a problem with my scenery, i wonder if anyone can help,i have various add-on sceneries installed and also FSskyworld se etc,the latest FSUIPC and new drivers from NVIDIA for a ordianary geforce 6600 card on a p-4 2 ghz machinewith 512 mb ram ,the problem is that my scenery seem to be kind of corrupted,when on the sim the buildings and some planes suddenly become brightly multi- coloured their textures are red/blue/pink etc and some of the aircraft which have reflective textures start showing their base silver reflective texture only ,the whole plane looks silver.i cant identify what installation or what exactlt might be causin…

The Version 2 Deciduous tree macros, have just recently been uploaded to Avsim. The version 2 improvements are New winter snow textures edited by Bill Dick. Trees remain dark at night. New Extended 16 bit textures without mip maps, trees remain steady, as you approach them from different distance. They are furnished in API, and Scasm format. By Robert Palmer & Bill Dick. I've been interested in developing a navigation log to append to the flight releases our VA pilots get; a key component of this is the heading which pilots fly between waypoints. I've got the latest NIMA nav data, complete with magnetic variations, but as you probably know they don't match AT ALL with the default mag vars found in FS. These are stored in a .bgl file (magdec.bgl); I'd love to see an updated BGL file produced and released. I'm not sure if the table has values based on waypoint or by coordinate, but if giving you the mag var value at every waypoint in the database helps, I'll give it to you in whatever format you need. Hi,The airport I am designing the scenery for has the ATIS on the same freq as the VOR in real life. Therefore in FS I do not have ATIS inthis this airport since this mix freq is not supported in the game. So is there any special way to add ATIS in FS2002 or is it the same ATIS option we used to add for previous FS versions? Or is there a new command for that?Thanks :)Michel

I'm trying to set up a burning oil drum effect for use in lighting my small airstrip at night. However, I can't seem to find a combination of parameters that result in the effect only being visible during dusk, night and dawn. I read the effects SDK, and those parameters seem to be settable, but when I use them they have no effect (no pun intended). I feel as though I'm missing something here, but the parameters are so simple I can't figure out what it might be. Here's an example of what I'm trying currently:MOY=01,12;DOM=01,31;HOD=00,23;MOH=00,59;DAWN=1;DAY=0;DUSK=1;NIGHT=1;I've tried many other combinations, but all result in the same thing. Hi Cousins,Need help in converting units between english and metric. I have had this trouble ever since we swithced units at my pre-retirement job.Couple of years ago while still working I had this handy little FREE program on my laptop. Hi all,I am attempting to produce a VTP file with multiple coastline polygons, but am not sure of the proper structure for files with multiple polys. Luisa and other guys using FSDS2!I have just installed FSDS V2 and I have been playing around with it. I tried to import some "old" models and first of all I saw message "FS2k condition checks, AA tags and transformations are not valid in FS2002. Remove?". Does this means, that if I set rotation for windsock because of wind, visibility range for an object (33b) etc. will stay or they will be removed?The next thing which is quite dramatic is DirectX "error 887602f8: Render target buffer lost!".
