I have used TerraBuilder and ended up with 5,201 texture files in TempTexture folder.I used the texture coordinates, and I have 10,670 files in the Alpha folder, but as yet no scenery.I was reading the INI file you sent me but have no knowledge of how you got all those numbers. TerraBuilder makes a TexRelief.CFG and a CKB-SE.setup information file, but like I say no scenery. I sure hope someone makes something like TerraScene for FS2002, because frankly I am lost as what to do once I get my 4.8 pixel mtr. files at 499+ MB each. They look great just can't seem top get them to work in FS2002. Richard Hill

I finally got back into my AFD hacking and I found two interesting things:Firstly AFDCAD says that the 'unknown' bytes in SCASM for setting the runway location are 'runway closed (base/reciprocal)' and 'left/right pattern'.The left/right pattern is correct, but I question the other values. In the scenery.inc in BGLC I found this which I think these values stand for:NO_PRIMARY_TAKEOFF equ BIT0NO_PRIMARY_LANDING equ BIT1NO_SECONDARY_TAKEOFF equ BIT2NO_SECONDARY_LANDING equ BIT3I found that only bit0 and bit2 are set in the default afd files, bit1 and bit3 are never used. Bit0 and 2 are only used at 'secondary' runways that are parallel to main runways. This makes me think t…

Any gossips, news about BGLC compatibility updates for Airport, FSSC or other programs? Its very quiet lately. How come that gMax alone cannot be used to make full scenery including polygons, runways, nav equipment etc. and yet it is considered an official FS (scenery including) development tool? And is BGLC really the road to the future of FS scenery building? What about CFS3? Any new tricks there? I hope, I am not asking too many questions here. Ted

  7. In a BGL file there are 4 32 bit numbers which represent the North/South/East/West bounds that the specific BGL represents.According to FS2000 SDK the North & South Bounds are 32-bit represented in METERS. I am assuming this is UTM. The East & West values are supposed to be represented in PseudoDegree Units.I have looked all over the internet for information on converting UTM to Degrees & vice versa and have come CLOSE. However I need to make sure my values correspond to Flight Simulator. Can someone PLEASE help or show me how to convert these values to Degrees or vice versa?Let's use the following values for an example which happens to come from the yakutaf…

Hey, I am not a scenery designer, but I think that this is the only way I can ask someone to make a freeware JFK airport scenery in NEW YORK. The JFK scenery in fs2002 is a total disgrace to big, popular airports. Someone hear my plead and take up the challenge of making a good quality JFK scenery. Thanks.

First off, I'm an admitted "Newbie" here. Please go easy on me :)I'm just getting into the AI world, and want the first airport I'm working on to look its best. I'm starting with Hartsfield.I've figured out TTools and understanding it. Also downloaded the "overlays" for Hartsfield as well. Now, I'm trying to get the physical "look" of the airport sharper. I've seen lots of screen captures with all the proper jetbridges, etc. But I can't seem to find the files necessary to do this.Where should I look? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for you help.GA

What is the difference in placing addon sceneries in the main Scenery, Addon Scenery or SceneDB folders?I've been reinstalling sceneries recently and I've noticed there is no obvious reasoning behind the use of these folders. Am I incorrect?

The latest version of AutoAsm is available for download. There are some major changes - for the better, I hope!1. Supports Ex format for both LWM and VTP, so LWM polygon limit is increased from 62 to 317 points.2. Uses .bmp format image files rather than .raw.3. Supports islands (i.e. polygons inside polygons), with nested island / lakes.4. New method for handling polygons greatly improves reliability.5. VTP support for shorelines etc. bmp files are more convenient - you can see thumbnail images oin your pain program, you don't need to know the image size before opening it in your paint program, and AutoAsm automatically reads the file size from the header. If you alread…

Hi guys, is there a way to export Lago's FSSE scenery files to the bgl format? For example, if I want to make a scenery made with FSSE available even to people who don't have it, creating a bgl file. Is it possible? Thanks!

Hi Guys!I am now playing around with FSDS V2 where I found some bugs and now I came to a small problem. I have a radar dish which should rotate but I just can't find the proper option to animate it. I tried with Animation and keyframes, but radar is still standing still in FS. So I manually added TransformCall to make it rotate. But the question remains: how do I make it rotate in FSDS?Best regards,Goran BrumenFS Slovenija 2002 teamhttp://slovenia.avsim.net

Hi all. With Arno Gerretsen's help, and the NL-2000 team, I've gotten a much better understanding of VTP Layers and the texture usage within layers. It had been my habit to restate the 'VTPDataArea' for each poly or line. That works quite well. VTPDataAreaVTPLayerVTPNumTexturesInLayerVTPTextureIdVTPPolyCount.VTPDataAreaVTPLayerVTPNumTexturesInLayerVTPTextureIdVTPPolyCountAlso, you could restate the 'VTPDataArea' for each Layer, which I have been doing lately. But I also restated the 'VTPDataArea' if a new texture was used.VTPDataArea__VTPLayer__VTPNumTexturesInLayer__VTPTextureId__VTPPolyCount.VTPDataArea__VTPLayer__VTPNumTexturesInLayer__VTPTextureId__VTPPolyCountThe NL-2…

Hi all,I've never dabbled in scenery creation for MSFS before, so I am an absolute novice in this area. I'm only interested in adding a new runway to an existing US airport (and maybe moving some taxiways around). Is this task difficult?I've looked at the various freeware scenery editors, and it looks like Airport for Windows is the best free candidate to use for this. The problem is that the tutorial/help doesn't really give you very good instruction -- especially regarding how to edit existing airports, as opposed to just creating a new one.If I understand the process correctly, I need to use BGLAnalyze to disassemble the BGL file, edit it with Airport for Windows, …
