    I have downloaded David Fidler's Jan. 2nd CYYZ replacement for Waren Hudson's Jan. 1 update (Avsim - CYYZ/2002 Scenery) but find there is no readme or instruction on what to do with the file. Would much appreciate some direction.

    Hi,Just want someone else to confirm this. I've never succeeded in using DXT(1)-textures with ground polygons made in Airport or GroundMaker. Is there something I do wrong (shouldn't be), or is it just a fact - ground polygons do not accept DXT-format textures? (I still use BMP2000 for ground textures (do not mistake for MESH-textures)).

    HiI'm currently using afcad to design the ai layer of my scenery and "AI Traffic" to code the flightplans.But I only can tell "you fly from there to there at that time", How can I say that a specific plane has to use a specific gate or parking position at my airport? Every gate or parking position in afcad has it's own name, so that should be possible.Thanks in advance!!Mario

    This is a smallmatter, but a vexing one.Everytime I try to open a file, I getan error message saying the file has already been processed.Anyone have any clues as to why Im getting this?I clear the box, change directories, give weird filenames.... stillthe "already processed" message.Thanks for help.JohnW

    Hi!Looking into Christian's tutorial I am trying to make some simple mesh in my coast and have problems. I have got charts from freely available atlas of Slovenia and using elevation lines I have made raw file of elevations (using PhotoShop). The highest hill has approx 250m so I made couple of layers: 0 with RGB 0 0 0 for sea, 2m with RGB 2 2 2, and so on for some more layers (60m, 100m, 120m, 200m, tops).     Lately my viewpoint looking from the tower view has been dropping and I don't know why. I mean to say that the viewpoint is now only about 10 to 12 feet off the ground level which means that everywhere I look I am starring into airport buildings, whereas I should be able to see over the top of all buildings.Can anyone give some help on how to put the viewpoint back to the 70 feet or so elevation level?Thanks. ~~Allen

    What can cause double entry in my scenery.cfg? I add my scenery in normal way from scenery library menu once, only to find little later two sceneries with the same title. However the sceneries are not the same. One has flatten entry and displays properly another does not have and cuts off parts of taxiways.     Hi Arno!We lost our earlier posts.Your team is using alternate texturesets with alternate autogen ( most probably in a local folder structure )... You wanted to know if you could access these textures and autogen with VTP polys using the landclass number.No. But there is a work-around. If your polys are not too extensive, you can copy the correct texture and autogen and rename as a CUSTOM name set. Then vertically flip and remip ( as DXT1 ) the textures ( to accomidate that terrain engine bug ). The autogen do not need to be flipped. If the polys extend more than a single groundtile, as they probably will, just randomly mix the textureset like MS does, and give them the p…

    Hi all,I just designed a house (my first) in G-max.Now, following the G-max tutorial i should be able to select File - Export in G-max in order to assign G-max to export as an BGL file and let G-max start the MakeBGL program.This MakeBGL program is installed in the G-max / Plugins folder.The problem is that i can't select "export" in G-max because under the file tab the "Import , Export and Export selected" lines are light grey (so not selectable).Now i can't make a BGL and place the house in my scenery.Does anybody has a solution for me, so i can go on with my tutorial and learning progress?Any help is apreciated.Regards,Ben

    Dick;Would it be possible to edit the batch file to enable all textures, (Day, Night, and Water) all in one process.Maby someone could develop a program that would calculate the CellX and CellY DimensionDeg and other nedded data for the Batch and INF file with the input of Filename, Long/Lat, and X/Y pixel size, it would sure simplify things. But for right now just the nedded text to add to the batch file to create the night texture as well as the Dat and Water.Richard;

    Hi,When making a cylinder in Gmax, is there any way of making the cap segments unequal in terms of angle? As a simplified example, let's say you have a cylinder with 4 cap segments, but if you look from the top, they would not all be 90 degrees, but you would have 2 segments of, say, 100 degrees and the other 2 at 80.Is there any way of doing this?Thanks!
