To you scenery gurus out there I need your help!I need a simple step by step working example of how to do the following. I started going through the tutorials of AIRPORT 2.60 and the sample that of how to use the Jetway API by Shehryar Ansari, but quite honestly I'm totally confused. This is all so very new to me! Greetings - I am toying with the idea of recreating my local airport in detail. I'm comfortable with the airport and land design program I'll probably use, but I am clueless when it comes to the buildings.gMax, FSDS2, Nova - All three can do buildings, but which one to go with?With your collective experience, which is best for a newbie starting 3D scenery design?! I've discovered in Geocomm web page that it is possible to download the E00 files with electric lines data for my country (Italy). It would be very interesting to use them to place electric pylons in the whole country. The project would be:1. with E002VTP transform the E00 data to VTP lines.2. instead to design lines, edit the asm files and place macros of the pylons (designed in Gmax) in the coordinates of VTP.Someone may help me explaining how may i transform this idea in a reliable work?Ciao

I have worked throught the autogen tutorial on Niagara and can get it to work ok.BUT I can't seem to make it work anayplace else. Here is whhat I am trying to do:Recreate my home town as an added textured area where MS left it out.Here is what I have done:I have created a scenery file using FS Architect that correctly displays the area. I have used flattening polygons to flattten the default terrain and have overlaid them with urban textures. This is OK as far as it goes but does not give me any buildings or trees.SO I started thinking autogen was the way to do it.I used the working Niagara Area image to determine size, compression etc and modified my textures to be th…

Well, I've been designing scenery for awhile, and I would say that it would not be possible without all the help I've receieved here. So I come to you again with yet-another-problem....I designed this scenery for Bangkok. It's had a few thousand downloads, and occaisionally a user will write me with a bug in the scenery that I always make a point of fixing. There's one problem that I can't seem to figure out. A certain texture that is used for a ground polygon will not load, leaving the polygon appearing white (see picture at bottom).I've had only two people report this to me, and I have been unable to duplicate it myself. Hi to everyboby builders,I have problems moving the control tower view using AFCAD, I drag the control tower (the pink circle with the T inside) in the real position and I set in the properties its height.I save the modifications I have made but while all the other changes take effect in FS2002 after relaunching it, the tower view is always in the original (wrong) position...sigh!Thanks to anyone replying to meRoberto

Any news on progress on tools tool simular to TerraScene that would allow for FS2002 teature including REGEN textures? TerraScene is rather good but lacking FS2002 features, and files are rather large.Please keep us posted on any progress and any BETA testing needed. I would be more thsn willing to help!Richard

I am new to FS2002 (very new)scenery design. I have read and read and read and downloaded software till it is coming out of my ears in hopes that I could muddle my way through with the help files and tutorials. Hi all, I have a small problem with the terminal buildings at KSMF. A good portion of them have disappeared! I copied the 'USSW' scenery folder from my FS2002 disks with no improvement. I have not, to the best of my knowledge, messed with the scenery for KSMF in any way. I know that they were there because I used them to add more gates with AFCAD. Anybody have any ideas?? Hi,This problem is really confusing. Lately I've been adding a dummy RotatedCall command to two big API-macros, and with that I succeeded to remove the autogen elimination those macros caused before. However, now I've noticed a strange thing to the northeast of the airport. Have a look at it from the attached picture. The LOD-squares are all colored in an area that big. HiI'm currently creating a new scenery and want to place some aircrafts there. I don't want to amek them flying around. The yjust should sit around in a corner of the airport not doing anything (so no Flightplan needed).Can I use the PAI aircrafts for this?? Hi All,Last evening I was trying to make a piece of code like FsRegen does that would allow me to use GMax scenery in a dynamic library (for the section 15 dynamic scenery). But looking through the scenery SDK I couldn't find anything about the commands used in such a library. Maybe I was too sleepy already :), so does anybody know if there is any info on how to make such a library in the SDK? Hi guys,I'm trying to remake my home airfield background. I used SCM2XY2 to produce a VTP polygon from the SCASM file generated by FSSC. Everything works great except for one strange detail : In FS2002 my new polygon appears at the right place, but not with the right texture. Whatever texture I define in my ASM file, FS2002 displays it as "forest". I even tried to just remove any VTP polygon (Exclude set to 1 and NumTexturesInLayer set to 0)... It still displays my polygon as a forest !!!I checked that the BGL file is actually changed when I recompile using different parameters, and that when I completely remove that BGL, the scenery reverts to FS default (ie : I'm really…
