A question for Arno mostly, since you usually have the right fix when I have a scenery problem. Working on an addition to an airport and did the terminal as a macro in NOVA. pretty detailed (44 parts,looks good and all, but at certain angles (not distance) it vanishes, the shadow is still there but no terminal. Any suggestions on this ? Maybe some code I can add by hand.Regards, Michael

I'm using FS Scenery Creator v1.5.5 to add a missing navaid. It works fine as long as I don't check the box "List in Facility Database." When I do check the box, I get the following error: -> NameEntry() 6: container no. 3 not foundThe .bgl files compile anyway. The navaid works, and shows up on the map, but I get the message "Building database for new scenery files" every time I start FS. If I delete the afd file it goes away. How can I get around this, I want the navaid to show up on the map?

Hi to all,my gmax object processed with fsregen for trasforming in library object does not work fine on dynamic scasm routine. The call at object itself works fine, but the object jump randomly on the screen, the routine of course work right if the object is the standard dinamyc truck. I noticed that fsregen doesn't create standard dynamic libraries. help me!!Thanks.

Hi AllNo big deal just some tweaking from beta 2 that should make the interface easier to use. Hi all - could someone provide a scrap of .api macro code to call FS2k2's default helipad?(I think this is possible...)It's not one of the default objects available in FSSC, which is too bad. I like the look of it more than most of the freeware macros I've got for helipads, and I've been having a terrible time with flickering surfaces with these flat macros...Thanks,Brian.

Hello Everyone,Quick question. I hope! I am using FSSC to create a scenery on Beluga Lake in Homer. I laid down a custom concrete ground texture, and the shrubs and small trees that surround the shore of the lake show through the texture. I have surrounded the texture with a flat area, and a surface area and they still show through. I replaced the custom texture with a default poly, same problem. I can't seem to figure out what I'm missing! Any ideas would be very much appreciated.Thanks in advance :-)

Hi guys!I've read the Terrain SDK yesterday and took a look at that great LWM program by WeBad. I checked the VTP output code of a "4 point road" and there were 6 points in the code...why is this?And the road didn't appear properly...it became distorted at its ends, getting smaller to the beginning point and also at the ending point. I tried some manual tweaking, failed...the ends got wider ;)(triangle shape)So then, can someone give me pointers how to make correct FS2K2 roads with BGLC (maybe a correct working example, source code).I want to rework an area for test purposes by adding new roads, highways, railway tracks and rivers. I use fs2000 resampler cuz the fs2k2 one with the black borders is a hassle. I recently found the default seasonal changes at the location of my newest project were negligable, so eliminating seasons would take 2/3 from the upload bulk, as seasons=0 make summer textures display all year. Unfortunately my tests show no night textures either displaying. The sdk makes me think night is treated as just one additional season. starting to experiment, but has anyone else tried already?Bob B

Hi Folks,I have a small problem... I built a small regional airport and the taxiway centerlines keep coming and going. From on viewpoint, the line is there, from others, there's nada. More mystical (to me), at night, all centerline lights are there.I used a single textured polygon for the taxiway itself with a yellow 1 ft-road layed over it.Could someone please give me advice how to fix that? IS it a matter of layer? In that case, which layer uses the runway...?Thanks for any help,Torsten

I've been trying to animate a landing light in my scenery. The intention is to have a powerful red obstacle light at the top of a control tower. I have made the landing light, and i have also made the rotation animation in gmax. The landing light group (made of two triangles) is called tick18_light. When checking my scenery, the landing light works, but the animation is not working. As a test I made a plain box with a rotating animation next to the light, and this box did rotate in my scenery.I'm a bit unshure about the Tick18_ -tag, and where to put it in this case.Could any point me in the right direction?

I've created a API macro with FSDS 1.6, but I cannot compile it with SCASM 2.88. All I get is the error message:Error in macro file e:kauhavaapifmpatsas.api line 12318 -> EndA -> -> Linebuffer (20478) overflow, line 876/1281 truncated ! -> too many errors ( 32767 )I even tried to split this object into multiple API's, but the error message still is there with one object part. Hello,I've been messing around with exporting .bgl's out of gmax and bringing them into FSRegen to add effects, but when I select my .asm file (Chimney.asm) in step 1 and click 'Open', I get the following error:Please enter valid input file. Hey there everybody. I am currently working on an update for KSJC and have run into a peculiar problem. Bear in mind, I am realy new to scenery design, so this isn't going to be anything fancy to start with, just an update. The problem I have encountered is this. I am using Airport for Windows as the scenery design tool. Using a government chart I have traced the outline of the airport and start to fill in the infield areas over this. This realy seems to work pretty good. (As a side note, I am also working on KSNA, and have not encountered this problem.) However, at the north end of the airport, I can only get the taxi lines to appear in the flight simulator.I have…

Hi All.I had an interesting exchange with Christian Fumey, concerning VTPs and their ability to show CUSTOM textures.Here's the core of information I can derive:--------------VTP Method1 cannot display any numbered texture... so landclass, including "253" or "252" cannot be used as names.--------------If you want to use landclass numbers for textures with VTPs, you need to use VTP Method2."253" or "252" are landclass numbers. They will show a properly named CUSTOM texture, in it's correct geographic location, but that texture ( and it's autogen ) must be in "C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002SCENEDBWORLDTexture", just like the other landclass textures.--------------Both…

Hi,I am working near N36",E30" . I wanted to use cellgrid and create a file 449_151.txt contains 2 lineinclude Cell_Grid.incCellDefine 449, 151. Compiled with bglc and install .bgl files but I cant see the gridlines???Please Help me. Does anyone know how to format fractional LWM altitude into the source.asm file? I only know of the whole meters way and I may, depending on the format, want to add this feature to LWMDraw so users can adjust to more detailed ground elevations if they wish.Thanks for any help!! :)Ken
