I am trying to track down an incorrect Autogen (.agn) file that is buried in some 10,000 others. I want to find a simple calculator that allows me to enter Lat/Long coordinates and gives me the custom file name. Everything I have tried so far gives me NE,SE,SW and NW tile names which bear no resemblance to my errant file.Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.Regards,Chris Wilkes

The texture application tutorial for FS2K2 from M$ is outdated. Hi Cousins,Many of us who "live right next door to you" in the "MSFS Aircraft and Panel Design Forum" plan on having a show and tell for our "customers" starting Friday night and lasting until Sunday night. The last time we did this it was just among the friends on that forum showing WIPs (work in progress) to each other. We had such a good time we decided to do it again in a month. Well the month is over and this time we are hoping to invite all of the vistors to the AVSIM website to the "show and tell" for comments about each's WIPs. Has anybody made this new editor work?I have given up. After downloading the new gMax I thought I had better try and figure it out so spent another hour and a half downloading the help then another hour or so trying to figure it out and I still can't get a texture to appear!I am about to reload v1.1, - that seems to work fine I never bothered using the materials editor just grabbed a bitmap and applied itI would like to use the new one but life is too short....Geoff

Hi,I hesitated to request help here for this issue, but I couldn't find a solution to my problem.I have North America and Europe default sceneries installed, but I can see the roads only when I'm in America. No roads in Europe, England, France or Italy. I can't understand what's the point. Maybe I haven't some roads .bgl file for Europe? Where are the roads in FS2002? Are they drawed into the mesh textures or are they autonomous .bgl files?Thanks for any suggestion.Francesco

Hi,Thanks to Arno's Bumpy tool I am trying to generate a SCA file to harden the surface of my photogrid. However there is one detail that I have in my original photogrid code and that is the TransformCall command that shifts the grid in the sea nad brings it back on land therefore avoiding autogen exclusion. So my quest now is to make the SCA generated by Bumpy includes the same extra code as the original photogrid so the hardening of the surface will match the shifting of the photogrid.I tried to copy the Variables section from my original SCA into the Bumpy one but while compiling it with FreeSC (FSC) and scasm too, I got errors. Can some one help?...my eurnswafd.bgl (a BGL file) has turned itself into a eurnswafd.bgl.bk (a BK file)...can I and if so how can I change it back?regardsEd

I am working with FSDS2 and FS2002. When I create a project and load it in FS the project is much smaller than the feet that it was suppose to be and I have check the feet box in my preferences.So what is the proper unit of messure for FS2002 that will show up in its proper scale the first time??Thanks

Hi,I was making some road tests for my city scenery and designed 3 long test road with FSSC and Airport FW to understand the differences etc. I put one bgl under my city's scenery directory and it worked.I could see the roads.Then I DELETE my road bgl file. But still my bigggg and lonng roads are there.Then I unistall my city scenery from FS2K2. My scenery removed but my test roads are still visible.I make a search for any .bgl file in FS2002 scenery that is created in last 2 hours and no new .bgl file under FS2002 directory.How does FS remember this roads.NO new bgl under FS directory , no new scenery but new roads....ThanksKenan

Hi AllI've checked and rechecked for misspellings, bad spaces, and etc but I can't see to figure out why the below VTP Method 2 Poly shoreline assembles ok with BGLC.exe but stops FS during the texture loading period. Hi everybody.I downloaded gmax 1.2 yesterday and installed it (already had 1.1 and 1.0 and they worked ok, including exporting and everything, already made a lot of FS scenery work)I opened a .gmax - model with gmax 1.2 and wanted to export it, but it didn't work, error message stated something about the size of the crash octree being too big. So I selected "keep files" and "keep error log" in the MakeMDL tool to check the "blah_0.asm" - file and noticed that the model had "huge" dimensions (10,000s of meters). Would somebody assist me with a problem using fssc? I'm trying to install a dirt runway (1500ft) on an island near Thunder Bay. I've got the correct coord., length, and proper heading, and exclude the visual scenery. After using export scenery wizard to 2002 pro, the runway is in the proper location but it's approx 6ft higher than the surrounding elevation resulting when I taxi off the dirt runway, I drop 6ft and ding a prop everytime. Would appreciate help from any pro out there!!! (Latest version fssc 1.5.4)

Hi AllI am really confused about designing scenery and implementing texturesI have recently released my first scenery as freeware, see pic...I used what I suspect is the time honoured way, creating polygons and assigning textures and was surprised by the outcome. However, it strikes as extremely exhaustive to go to those efforts, when they could be on one or two bitmap's.I guess I want more control over my textures, for Taxiways, Runways, White lines not yellow, etc...I'd be grateful for any of your viewsregardsDave
