    Hi Christian,Not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but weather themes are "scenery" files!I downloaded your pdf on how to create weather themes. Rather than be too ambitious from the outset, I decided to try compiling and running a theme based on the example you provided. I duplicated the relevant lines 1024 times and the source code compiled the .bgl file without any problems at all. I then changed the output file name to have the .wtb extension and created a text-based .wt file of the same name.All seemed OK, except that when I tried to selct the theme from within the FS2004 GUI, I received a message saying the theme could not be loaded and to check the…

    I would like to get into scenery design. I would first like to get my feet wet by making the FS2K4 default airport for my city a little more realistic (proper apron, hangars, terminal, etc) as well as make some proper buildings/skyline for my small city.Can anyone recomend some programs to help me do this? Either freeware or shareware? I did a search in the file library and either came up with 0 hits or hundreds... out of which none seemed to be what I was looking for!Thanks!

    Hi Folks,Two questions.Does anyone know how to add navaids to FS2004, I want to add a DME to Shoreham which is, again, not modelled although its been there for years.Also I notice that the radios now go up to 136.975 now but when I tried to tune into any ATIS freqs above 136 I don't get anything and not does it appear on the ATC menu's. Is this a bug because the ATIS is listed in the GPS screens so therefore in the scenery as its all the same now.Cheers Ron

    Had to start a new topic , it was becoming congested. OK I got my DXT3 + alpha channel bmp. Ive followed the steps and got my bmp.The problem now is that resampler fails to open this bmp! In the SDK, author says that the bmp must be 24-bit only. If i convert to 24-bit I lose the alpha channel.Storm

    Hi, I managed to do light_beacon and light_nav but my problem is the smaller i do the triangle surface on GMAX i never see any chage in the beam when exported to the sim. Can some one help me out on how to make a small nav or beacon/light? An other question is regarding the beacon. I created a beacon for an antenna of a tower and I use a red material.     I had made my entire state with Near Photo Quality Terascene texture for FS2002, now I just want to replace roads, rivers, and lakes in FS9. Would you suggest TerraScene or another program.I just want to replace the default rivers, lakes and roads. If I remember once quite a time back, when I set unwanted texture to transparrent things didn't go well. Anyone used TerraScene to replace just rivers, lakes, andd roads?     Both 2D and 3D clouds show a dark grey halo around the edges of some of the clouds. Real clouds, at leaset near Pittsburgh, do not have this appearance.     I've written a brief summery in BGLC macros of what I have figured out so far from the new FS9 bgl structure. This is far from being complete, and it won't compile into something useful either yet.I just want to share this in the hope that'll motivate more people to unravel the new FS9 mysteries. It shoud be a pretty good start, but knowledge of (or willingness to learn) hexcode is essential.I really need people to help me. It's just so much new stuff, I'd be going for ever.     I have added the CellGrid scenery folder to FS2004, it is turned on and is level 1. But no grid lines show up. Anyone else have this problem?The lines show up in FS2002 so I know the BGL's are OK.Is this a 2004 problem or did I forget something??TIA:

I have been trying but they are REALLY busy just now.Incidentally I don't regard the suggestion of removing the original Hotfix 824136 as a serious solution, apparently an uprotected machine connected to the Internet over the weekend took just 25secs to get the virus!Geoff

In the last week I was updating some buildings and strangely enough, Gmax is saving but when I close an reopen the files; I find them all corrupted.     I am really stumped by this one. I just used FSSC to create a new airport. I picked out a nice spot that I had found while flying around in the bush. I didn't change the terrain or landclass, just added a runway and some macros I downloaded from the avsim library. Now the problem that has come up is that my aircraft only fly about half the speed of what they should at full throttle. I am new to this and don't have a clue where to look.
