    Hi guys,I created a scenery of Lampedusa Island (LICD) for FS2002 using GMAX and FSArchitect. At the moment I dont own FS2004, but I would like some help and feed back on objects that work and also dont work in my scenery. Scenery design in FS2004 will requier any other program for design?     Hi all.Gilles Gauthier has written me, and told me CellGrid2 does not work in FS2004. My experiments show me VTP1 is not supported. The sim doesn't crash, but the polys are not displayed.Cellgrid2 was an early attempt to help us see LOD13 Areas, and to help us with stretching and referencing screenshots for making VTP and LWM BGLs.We had been told if we followed the FS2002 Terrain SDK, our sceneries would still work. This isn't the case. Default layer numbers have changed as well.VTP2 still displays textures vertically flipped.     I've been having problems with transparent textures in FS2004 (see previous messages.) But after playing around with more scenery files, I think I (we) are chasing the wrong problem.I just copied a scenery file from FS2002 to FS2004. When I loaded it up, it looked perfect. But then, I switched views and all transparent textures disappeared! After alot of experimenting, I have found the following:If I load FS2004 and start at a location other than the test scenery, then GOTO the test scenery, all textures look fine.     Library Procedure for fs2004I would like to share some experiences I've had with FS2004's Library.I certainly don't like the new Library procedure compared with what we had with FS2002, but as I read elsewhere this was necessary to overcome some stability problems.The first thing I noticed was that the Library is not a part of the World menu system. This means if you are in the sim you must exit and re-enter it to make any changes. Ok, that's not too bad but it sure slows down the development process.     I've just been reading an airmodel thread, at those guys found that there is a key to reload aircraft. Apparently, you can also map a custom key to reloading scenery. If this is indeed the case, it would solve the recent headaches we had concerning having to constantly reboot FS9.I haven't tested this yet, so I don't know if and how well this works.Cheers, Christian

    Hey Arno, I have not tried it yet as my time is very limited at this point. Just curious , when you make a scenery wil it show up ok in the "search addon scenery" section of Fs? even though it will not show up on the Gps or map screen. Thanks sir for any information.

    Hi all.The VTP code for bridges is a mystery. You can get bridges to show, but there is little control over type, length, orientation... and even odd bridge segments pop up. I have found length does seem to have a bearing on the type of Autogen used, and they are layer 7.I had hoped this would be simple. It is not. So we wait for the new terrain SDK.Dick

    Hi,I notice some of the aircraft have now (at long last) been equiped with radios that go up to 137Mhz.However when I tried Gatwick (136.525) and London City's (136.35) ATIS I get nothing, any suggestions?If I can't get the radio's to work does anyone know how the freq's in the AP9 BGL's work so I can change the ATIS freq as I did in FS2002.Thanks Ron

    Hi everyone, i am a new designer from venezuela (so my english is not perfect, but i guess you understand me :)) i have an airport that has 3 hangars by Kern Pegg, but non of them work (the textures doesn't work), so can someone tell me where can i find a new set of hangars, or repair these ones or find a program to cacth hangars of already created airports.Signs, my problem is that i put them in my airport and the textures doesnt appear at fs2002.Lights, can somone tell me where can i get a set of nice light to iluminate my terminal?The program i am using to desing my airport is FSscenary creator.

    Is there a way to enter a new airport into the AFD of FS9? I am importing some scenery I made for FS2K2 into FS9. the scenery shows up fine, but the airport doesn't show up in the Got To Airport menu. I am assuming the old AFD.bgl file isn't working in FS9.Thanks.Dave Spurlock

  23. Hope this is close to correct forum.I am having problems installing updated AFACD files for third party scenery like GAP4 and Lago Amsterdam or Milan airports. I search for an airport in Afcad - say EHAM find the parking in the EURNSWAD.bgl (or similar) but then when I go to import a new AFCAD file using AFCAD it says ok updating the new EHAM but when I run flight sim 2k2 it has returned to the stock standard FS2K2 parking (ie acft in terminal etc...) and with GAP4 I try to update EHBK and nothing changes I think because GAP uses its own AFD.bgl files in a separate folder. What am I doing wrong AFCAD gurus?

    The new flatening function for roads whereby a few meters on each side of the road are made flat. This removes the roads that climbed cliffs and tilted on their side. While they still erronously climb cliffs at least they are flat. A similar function seems to exist for streams as well.However, whenyou exclude an original road that is misplaced, the original flatten road bed remains. This seems similar to river beds that remain if an original river is deleted. Need to find a way to remove the flatten function in these cses.Dick KLBE
