Hello, guys!I'm making a simple scenery from Brazil; but the runways and ground polygons simply disappears in the TOP-DOWN view if the altitude is set to 1675FT or less (and only in this view!!).I'm using the lastest version of Airport For Windows (v2.95 Upgrade to Build 166) to do these objects (runway and ground polygons) for FS2002.This fact is occurring only in some airports (just in some add-on sceneries...)Anyone could tell me the solution of this problem??Thanks since now,Leandro Braun

To anyone knowledgeable landclass user,I am trying to get landclass to generate bgls but have been unsuccessul. I have the TMFCOMPRESS,RESAMPLE, and TMF2BGL files together with LANDCLASS BAT and INI FILES. I used FSUIPC to retrieve the coordinates. However, when I run the BAT files nothing is created. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks for your help.Regards,David S.

I thought I had this, but returning to the prog to make some changes (a few minor coastline position adjustments) after a looong break from it, I just can't get CLM to work.CLM2 and all the bits are installed correctly. I've got my grid setup fine - it's only a 2 high x 3 wide LOD 13 area.I follow the instructions explicitly (for the fortieth time!), save my project and get my **-VTP.asm file. VTP checks out fine - no erros. It compiles and I move the **VTP.bgl into my scenery folder - and nothing changes.I'm doing (or not doing) something stupid. What on earth is it?

Dear All:Yesterday i tested my scenery in FS2004, the scenery works well, but frame rate are very low.Other problem i found is that the AFD and AI TRaffic of ADD ON scenery doesn't work.The menu starts with the Country comboBox and the Cities ComboBox.For addon sceneries i can use the old FS5.0 Menus to go to my custom Airports.Other problem is that transparent textures created with BMp2000 has little squares or netfishing effect at close distances, and in some times i see object with blue color and yellow lines.Does anybody has any solution to the AFD in FS2004?The good new is the the Mesh terrain is more detailed and the texture brighter for forest areas.My srtm mesh te…

Hi all,I am doing a new landclass for Israel. Now finally, after many hours of work, the "product" is being tested by several other fellow simmers in order to get the green light for uploading.During testing I encountered a serious problem. While the scenery looks fine on my computer, it shows "water lagoons" (along the coast line) on the computers of the testers. We all use the same old good FS2002 professional.Please look at the attached screenshot that compares my computer and another computer.Maybe it's a texture problem, because also the surounding area shows a differet landclass type. If I could get the answer for the above question which can be summarized as follows: What factors can cause original Landclass texture override in part VTP2 Polygon? This is exactly what is hapening in my Project, which in brief consists of : VTP2Polys (forest,urban)and LWM Polys and Lines (lakes, rivers, roads). All laid on unchanged and untouched Landclass.The reason for not deleting original Landclass is that I wanted to maintain looks of the fields between forests. The problem is visible only on the testing computers and from some reasons NOT on original one where the Project was made. Hi All,I for one am having a real problem getting my head around the use and mis-use of the "Dummy RotatedCalls".I have read the forum threads until I am blue in the face but still am unable to formulate a definitive rule that makes this "trick" work and why. At best it seems to be nothing more than guesswork.I have followed all suggestions as listed in the threads and indeed most do have the effect of maintaining Autogen surrounding airports BUT in all my tests they also introduce weird coloured polys usually within a kilometre or so of the airport, that most often extend several thousand feet into the sky when viewed from certain positions. I'd like to add arrestor cables to the carrier in the 'Meigs carrier force', and also to Meigs field (Altitude is ~600 ft). Hi Folks,I have been working with Ground2K and I have a good handle on the basics thanks to information here at this forum and some good tutorials, Thanks a bunch to all. I am having some problems with roads not clinging to the elevation changes in my scenery areas. The roads seem to have a tendency to dive under the landclass. I am using the bate version of Justin Tyme's US Landclass. I have yet to try the roads with the default landclass, because I love Mr. Tyme's landclass so much. I really do need to get the official release version of his product, it's a fixed income thing for me.Anyway, please let me know if there is anyway to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.T…

While I have a release candidate ready for Landclass Assistant, I am still working on some utilities and documentation.In the meantime. I am wondering if a couple of people could try out LCA 1.4 for a few days.... I'm just looking to make sure that nothing seems "broken", but it's so dang easy for me to miss things if I just try to test myself. I'll read enhancement suggestions, but likely I'll note them for future releases. Hi everyone,i've got a little problem with my textures in creating mip maps. The size of the textures is 1024x1024 and they will be used for a parking ramp. There are 28 of these images. I know they are a large, but I want to get a good resolution. Now I want to create mip maps for these textures. Unfortunately Microsoft's image tool is ruining my texture due the fact that when creating the mip maps it also dithers the full image, even though it has been imported into image tool as an 8bit image. I use paint shop pro to reduce the colour depth to 8bit since the conversion done is much better than image tool.Unfortunately, Martin Wright's BMP2000 can only accept images up …

Hi,I'm trying to make an MKE scenery, but don't know how to create tarmacs, taxiways, and runways in gMax. Is there a way to do this using the default taxiway textures? And how to you add lighting to the taxiways and runways so that it comes on during foggy weather and at night only? Thanks for any help!

Hi,I'm trying to build an airport in Gmax with a highway underneath a taxiway bridge. The taxiway is on the ground level. I used bitmaps applied to polygons in Gmax. Under the taxiway there is an invisible runway to get a smooth area. Then there is another ground layer I made in Gmax which goes below ground level where there is supposed to be a highway later on. To make the area below zero visible I added a flatten area to give room below the invisible runway. My problem: everything below ground level doesn't seem stable. I get all kinds of bleed through effects. When I move the aircraft the lower ground level doesn't move in the right perspective, if that makes any sense…

Hello again,After some noodling around, I've finally gotten my pocket hangar door animation working the way I'd like, or at least close to it. My next goal is to get the animation to be frequency-controlled for opening the doors ala Arno's great frequency-controlled animation tutorial. My problem is that I'm animating 10 objects at once instead of 1 (as in the tutorial) and I'm having a hard time figuring out the syntax for how to do them all. I've gotten one working just fine thanks to Arno, but my knowledge of ASM coding is minimal and I'm having a tough time figuring out how it all works together. HiI have a short question.Currently I'm working on a new scenery. I allready made the custom ground textures using resample.exe and added autogen to that using annotator.Now I want to get rid of the standard FS2002 airport buildings and taxiways but I also want my autogen on my custom textures to stay! So simply ading a "remove" switch to the scenery.cfg won't help as it also removes the autogen .. wich I don't want to happen. I simply want to remove the standard buildings and taxiways. I recon there is a way to tell that only the bgl with the airport information should be ignored. Can anyone help??THANKS A MILLION IN ADVANCE!Mario

HiI have the problem that the scasm macros I made with FSDS2 exlcude the autogen in a speficic radius around that object. But I want to keep that autogen. After searching the archive I came to the conculison that the transformcall (the height 32767 thingy) might solve the problem. The V2 was useless as it also deletes the scenery from certain angles.But now I wonder where I should put the Transformcall tag, can anyone help me?? Could anyone point me to a tutorial for keyframe animations?I have a complex animation which works well for various parts that have been linked but one section (set up with the keyframe) doesn't work correctly. The part in question is a beam attached to two cranks of different radii so using links and constraints does not give the flexibility I need. Leh airport in northern India is one of the most amazing I have everbeen to - the highest airport in the world usable by jet aircraft, ifI am not mistaken. The Himalayan scenery right from take-off isstunning; so on earth why is it missing from FS2002? Any developersout there into mountains - this would be really worthwhile!!Martin
