Whenever I've had a problem I've managed to get the answer here on the forum so thanks, guys. Hope my success rate continues with this one.I've been experimenting with DOD v3 in FS2002 to get objects moving around my scenery with great success except for one thing. Objects float above the ground.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/17579.jpgI've used a height of '0' in my DOD parameters and I've played around with scenery heights but so far no luck.Any ideas? I hope I can get it to work as now I've undestood how to make DOD work it's a simple and very effective way of getting movement in scenery.

I'm looking for wildfire macros that are fram rate friendly. I use Airport for Windows to create my sceneries. My last wildfire scenry (Aspen Fire Arizona) wass hell on frame rates. I saw an interesting wildfire effect fro the Wild Yukon scenery. It was a rather small effect but very realistic. Any help woul;d be greatly appraciated.

Hi all,Time for a nice SCASM discussion again :).I have a problem with the maximum radius of the Area command. For my next version of EHAM I am working on the base scenery now. That contains one Area command and inside that different RefPoints (one for each ground polygon).The total area covered by the airport is around a circle with a radius of 7 km. For the polygons at the edge of this circle I have problems that they dissapear. I have changed the coordinates in the Area command, so that they are closer to that point of the scenery and then there is no problem. But then I have a similar problem at the other end of the airport :).Of course I could split the airport in se…

Maybe this has been discussed in the past but does anyone know how to slow down the speed of animation created by tick18_ in gmax?I have made an airbridge and animated it but the animation is very fast the gate just whisks into place like a hungry snake.I am planning of making different gates for different airliner types identified by setting the ADF freq. Hope someone can help. Thanks! :)manny3

Hi to everyone,I just decided to give it a try, and wanted to create a fictional Island in the middle of Atlantic Ocean (at N20.00.00 W60.00.00)I tried it with Ground2k, but I can't get it to work. All I get is the Coast Line, but there is no land, only Water.....I tried everything, but nothing worked to me, so I must be doing something wrong.Can please someone point me to a simple, short, step by step guide, how t create such a fictional island in the middle of the ocean?I only found guides, tips and tutorials for altering standard scenery.....So please help,THXEdwin

Hi all, I have a question to you guys (and Gals).If I change the default landclass with EZ-landclass can I later make an additional scenery with Ground2k on that same new landclass?From reading the tutorials I understand that Ground2k is kind of a layer above landclass, so it seems it is possible, but I want to be sure before I start to chang a large area which will need both a new landclass and a new shore line.Thanks and have funSeev

Hi Guys, yet another Gmax questionI have trolled the archivesI have the *.asm/*_0.asm files and from the archives understand that the first file *.asm is the file that dictates where the bgl is compiled to, lat/long I want to tweak/position the bgl to a specified lat/long in this file using BGLC, is this posible?I have tried to create a Library bgl with FSRegen and the library macro that calls the *_0.asm file seems to dislike some labels in the compiling process eg.... I would like to interest someone with scenery designing skills to design this airport for the upcoming FS2004. For those of you living outside Los Angeles this might not necessarily interest you. However, maybe it might since this was a great little airport in the golden days of early aviation. I'm talking about the Grand Central Air Terminal in Glendale, California. Please take a look at this website for further information on this great terminal that was owned and operated by Curtiss-Wright. I need some help to find out what is going on here.Before I rebuilt my machine I had a macro ( see attached ) doing a water fountain (or Flag) complete with wind rotation, conditional on direction and a nice waver courtesy of teh FS timer. I know the code needs cleaning up but it was working.After the rebuild I now get a flickering texture. It flickers between the transformed location ( rotated ) and the unrotated location ( N-S).In desparation I have progressively cut back the API and now am running the cut down version under. I'm using FSDS v1.6 to do some Power pylons and have constructed them from tubes that are displayed as lines. Also am using a cube thats 30 feet x 3000 feet x .01 feet to display the curve of the wires. Question #1.... How can I get diagonal bracing in the open areas of the structure?Question #2..... The wires bmp's display but they kind-of disappear about 400 or 500 feet from the structure.ThanksJoe W.

Hi EveryoneI'm trying to create a small airport my second project. My first crashed along with my hard drive not backed up. Not to smart. Well I'm starting over and I'm getting two different problems.1. FSSC I've created 1 runway 1 taxiway 1 background with an exclude area. When I open FS2002 Only the runway is showing No taxiway or background grass are showing. 2. AFW did the samething but I'm getting an exclude error when compiling "Problem installing exclude.bgl file then the path where the bgl file is which was created.Can anyone help? How do I add a texture on Tree on my own macro with EOD ?I've try to do it but after compiled, trees appear flat on every side.. they are the same as what i see on 3d prev in eod.Since now for me isn't possible take an image from fs, I've attacched a little pic taken from EOD to figure you what i mean. Hi Folks,I am fairly new at using FSDSv2. I have an antenna tower I have been fighting with as far as transparent textures goes. I found that to make the inside and outside of the tower, I have to make two objects of the same shape, but the inside one has to be just a bit smaller than the outside one. Also, the polygons need to be flipped on the inside object in regards to the outside object.I have applied all the different formats for transparent textures, but none of the inside tower textures show through the outside tower textures. Also, this only happens when I assemble the Scasm/Api file for the object. When I assemble the Object file directly to the scenery folder t…

I am trying to use Ground2K to alter the coastline by placing a new shore line that cuts across a default bay and fills in the water with land between the new shore and the original coastline.I excluded the default coastline, then on the Polygons/Lines menu select "Poly with shore", under LWM/Poly select "Land", under Line/Shore select "Land on right", and change layer to "9".I start the new shoreline at the top and work down the image so the land should be on the right? Three bgl's are produced, an exclude.bgl, a _3.bgl and a _9.bgl.
