    Has anyone used Terrascene to create scenery for FS2K2? I read somewhere that it is possible. I very much like how easy Terrascene is to create scenery for Fly!, and would love to be able to create scenery that easy and that detailed for FS2K2. If anyone has used it, is it easy to do? Or is there a similar program that uses USGS data that is easy to use for FS2K2?Thanks for any responses....Glenn

    Hi all i've a little question...What's the better way to share Roads and macros Buildings?Maybe is better to use only one tool (I.E. FSCC) for both than two ? (I.E. FSCC for macros and ground2k or Coastline for roads).Every suggestions will be appreciated. ThanksRobi

    I've seen passing reference made to the reflective scenery popping in/out at certain distances to an object with the suggestion that it may be related to the distance which the final (largest) mip map is displayed.I have such a problem with a G-Max built building where the reflective texture suddenly "lights up" at about 500m from the object.Has anyone got a solution for this? The bitmap was created in Paint Shop Pro, the alpha channel was added, it was saved as a tiff then imported into Imagetool to add the mip maps and finally it was saved as a DXT3. I'm not aware of any further manipulation I should make to the bitmap to change the behaviour of the smaller mip maps.Sug…

    Here is a shoreline I am trying to modify with GR2k3.0 in WinMe. The dotted line shows the old shore and the lighter colored image is the desired shore I want to produce. The dark bar at the bottom represents the approximate length of the beach I will reproduce.     I've been trying out Ground2K, and discovered a problem using excludes. They only seem to work in certain areas of the world. The tested areas are away from airport scenery.     I have added the "Alaska Ships 1" file by Brian Burger. However, the ships from that file now display with the flashing-flickering white strobe effect seen in some of the default scenery buildings.Does anybody know what causes this, and a remedy?Thanks for any attention to this.Rick

    Just wondering because I drove out to the Blue Route yesterday and once again am wincing at how flat the Schuylkill River valley is along 76...The Manayunk towers are there - but there aren't any real hills to speak of. A little strange even with default scenery, as the riverbed is 100 ft + below the ridge of the nearest mountains.I've always wanted to take off (in the sim) from Blue Bell, which should be up high on a hill overlooking that valley, but isn't.Are there any terrain mods that fix this?Thanks,Andrew

I think these are the faults:1) Runway and Flatten are not at the same height when you see the problems on airports. It does work, but in my current airport project, my attempts to make practical use of this have failed. I decided to study the practical results from various settings.     Hi everyone, I created a polygon using Gmax. I also edited the asm file in order to eliminate the shimmering by using the addcat command. As such everything works well when I recompile the asm and put the bgl file directly into the scenery folder. I also converted the polygon into a macro using Fsregen, but the problem is that as a macro the polygon started shimmering again even though the asm file had been edited. Has anybody ever tried this or do you think that there is a way round it.Tnx and regardsDaniel

  19. Here's a couple of little oddities that I have discovered,1. If you want a road or shoreline to finish exactly at a particular place, with a square end, you need to place one more point very close to, but just beyond, the last required point.2. If you make a shoreline (choosing white sand with surf) with only two points, start and end, then the shoreline does not appear, but the surf effect does, useful for jetties, harbours etc...Here's part of Moss_landing (power station, bridge and roads still on their way) Geoff

    I thought I would post this question to see if anyone is close to having available a program that would use USGS Data rather than MAPS for example that as most are outdated as to city and transportation areas, not to mention time required to draw them. Minor arera editing is not much work, but trying to cover multiple 1 degree areas is rather time consuming. Most of the talk as on STRM data that would contain all data for all areas of texture as well as the elevation information. Just a thought!Richard;

    The Tmfviewer that I have is version 2.0.0.1. I noticed in a forum message that the viewer showed the lat/lon and the LClass at the bottom of the screen. I do not see that. Anyone know why??I do see the colored (squares) map but no indication of the underlying landclass. The lat/lon does appear in the Jump window.Dick

    Hi Guys,I recently wrote a new fictitous airport scenery file with FSSC. It worked very well ( & is available at http://www.toomuchfs.com ). The problem I have arose when I decided to add AI aircraft to the new airport. I used AFCAD (what else?!) & it all seemed to work well. The AI aircraft all do what they are supposed to do at the right times!However, when I use the Go To Airport dialog box, there are now TWO entries for this new airport. One without any ramps or gates (the original scenery file I wrote) & a second one with all the ramps & gates.I have also noticed that when you use the GPS, there are 2 entries for this airport overlaying each other.How…
