Hi,Is anyone aware if a flatten code not native to a specific scenery will work with it?One scenery in question-Airport 2000 v2-KMIA. The 9R end of the airport and some other taxiways are gone. The 2 other airports, KORD and KBOS seem to work OK.Is there some way of adding code to correct this?CaptCargo :-wave

Hi,I'm making progress (re)creating my local airport but have a couple of questions. 1. One of the runways and some of the taxiways are of the same material (tannish colored concrete) and therefore, in FSSC and FS2k they would be the same texture. I added the runway and one taxiway and set both to the texture I needed. However, in FS2k the taxiway is the correct color, but the runway is not. The texture's name in FSSC is runway23.bmp.2. The same taxiway I mentioned above is only partially visible. It looks like it is obscurred at one end by ground textures. Can anyone shed light onto either of these issues? Couldn't find my answer on the forum, so I ask.I've donloaded MAKEMDL & put it in the GMAX plugin folder,but don't get the option to export as BGL within GMAX. It gives me only the default format. I've tried with the examples that came with GMAX 1.2. What am I missing?Thanx

HiI am begginer at GMAX, and I have created a House with windows. and colured everything using GMAX.In the night in FS2002 though the house and windows are dark. I have placed light spots and changed there name to Bright_Light though the house and windows are still dark.Can anyone help or point me to a tutorial?ThanksAkbar

Hi!I thought about using the aircrafts from the AI-Traffic as static aircraft. It seems they're the best aircraft available depending to frame-rate and so on. Further they don't make any problems with the autogen.My idea is, that it should be possible to call these aircraft from a library where they are saved. Just like a library of macros for the old dynamic scenery. In SCASM that should look like this:CallDLibObj( :DYN01 4 2 00C2CDA9 A9E100AA F73913D0 4C594729 )But I don't have any idea, where these AI-aircrafts are saved. Maybe someone could help...Thx!Sasa

I have two almost identical macros one which works fine in FS2002 and the other locks the computer up solid as soon as Fs2002 loads.The only line that I can see may be causing problems is;IfVarAnd( :Notex 340 FFFF )Can anyone tell me if this is redundant in Fs2002?boneshttp://fsaviation.net

Is there a way to delete an entire airport and all it's related structures? I am using FSSC and want to delete a local airport and recreate it from the ground up. But I would need to be able to delete the buildings, towers, static aircraft, and the airport "image" itself. I've not found a way I can do this in FSSC yet. Is it possible?Thanks!

I'm having a lot of problems with this program. First it was animation used with scenery. Doesn't work. Even if the help files that come with it describes how to do it with hanger doors.Second problem has to do with Textures, Night textures, They don't show in the program nor in the scenery. Third problem... Seems that because I spoke out about the first problem.... I'm person non gratus... I can't get thru to Tech support. Seems that I'm blocked from sending them mail. I would like to get a refund on this but.... Looks like it's not gonna happen.BUYER BEWAREJoe Watson

Hello to all!i have a strange problemi made a city with some (or a lot of) streets... and coastlinesnow when i start fs2002 it crashes... the file is "terrain.dll"what could it be?i thought it was because of some vtp textures, but now i deleted them all, but the same problem happend.might there be a limitation of lines? have i simply overstressed the memory? who had same experiences?i detected that the only problematic bgl (i turned on(off each one) is thisone with extended *_9.bgl (size = 27 KB)thank you for answers, if necessary i could send the ground2k -file so you can test (it will be freeware!)- but not publish ;)thank you for responses!:DsaludosFrancis

Hi AllI have recently acquired excellent photos for my project and have had some difficulty understanding image sizingI understand the ratio 256*256 512*512 and even newer changes 64,128,256,512*32,64. I am using FSDS 1.6b, although I have learn't to used Scasm more and more.... I have been using Martin Wrights excellent DXTBmp program, can it handle 256*64 size textures?My confusion centres around how much the image needs to be reduced to fit the different Pixel sizes and in the image below, 512*512, the two end elevations are of good size, but the Front Elevation is, I feel squashed, relative to its proportionate size.Arno had previously mentioned, drawing in FSDS to …

I am trying to use effects to make the lighting for some street lights in Fs2002. I'm using the fx file that came with the Oskosh scenery and the Darrington scenery only I would like it bigger. Problem is, I can't get it to show at all. I'm using the BGLplacer that came with FS2002 to place it. I can put smoke, fire, allmost anything there except the lighting effects. Hi,we talked a lot of wind variables but I have one odd problem. I know wind direction variable is c74 but I only used it in TransformCall() intruction. Now I need to read this variable in IfVarRange() instruction but whatever limits I put, it is not what I need. So let's say, I need to show an object when wind is blowing from hdg 000-090, what this instruction should look like? IfVarRange( :Skip c74 0 90 ) doesn't work, I tried also IfVarRange( :Skip c74 0x00 0xff ) but nothing again. HelloAfter installing an Add On airport scenery (CYVR) when I amsetting up a flight and choose YVR it places me about 60 feetsouth of the active. Yes, I can then choose my add on and it's fine.I know it depends on where I "choose" YVR but at some spots onFS2K2 I am not always given the choice of using the Add On Scenery 1st.What am I doing wrong? What am I missing? Yes, I am new at FS2K2but not computing. :-)FaxCap

well I downloaded Fssc latest. I went and read some forums and I read the how twos in the help. I thinks I might be able to do it.I downloaded an older files someone else wrote but it is for older versions if the program. I'm looking for anyone who can explain how to get started. where do I put downloaded macros,api's, scasms- what are scasms anyway. Has anyone been successful in using the effects parameters in MSFS special effects? I've been trying to use the RANDOM function to make smokestacks and power plant cooling towers to emit smoke and steam randomly. That way, I can create a special effect for large numbers of smokestacks, but, if they are triggered randomly, it won't look like the city is on fire. However, it seems whenever I include the effects parameter, the effect never triggers at all. I'm trying to get the effect to occur 80% of the time by using RANDOM=10,2 as the parameter. Any help would be appreciated. ThanksRay

This URL www.topozone.com provides maps for the entire USA. While they are actually topographic they have all roads (with majors labled), rivers, and lakes. Makes an excellent source when doing large areas. LAT/LON at NW & SE corners available for use in Ground2k. While Terraserver offers actual photos of an area, the roads and lake outlines are sometimes difficult to follow at lower/ large scale resolutions.Dick

Since airports are built on flattened ground, couldn't every item...a runway for example, simply be made by creating and placing it accurately as a large very thin GMAX 3D polygon?I can only assume the simulator might see "through" the very thin polygon to the ground below due to video card or other problems.:-walksmile
