    Hey guys, I am literally just starting gMAX and am not interested in the aircraft design portion but the scenery design portion. I am going to attempt to model my hometown airport of KMSO. Could anyone in this forum literally take some time to walk me through this process, I would truely appreciate it! Or if nothing else could you please tell me what I need to get started at least?     I have managed to create a new coastline using G2K. I have attached 2 pics to show the default and the new g2k created coast.My question is about re mesh. How can I get g2k to recognize the coastline as zero altitude so the ocean itself is not remeshed near the shore.Any help appreciatedRay

    Hi all,Im totally desesperate because Im sure I've done everything OK....the problem is when I go to Export then I select BGL and I set the name and then OK , appears makeMDL.......I select the coordenates,keep files and input and output folders are OK,Scenery selected, and then I press start, and in gmax appears this:MAKEMDL WAS NOT FOUND, OR FAILED TO CONVERT THE MODEL SPECIFIED IN C:XXXXXXXXX TO A .MDL FILE, CHEK YOUR SYSTEM PATH TO ENSURE MAKEMDL IS ON IT.My scenery is on METRIC, makeMDL is on C:gmaxplugins together with FSModelExp.DLE.Please any suggestion?Thanks a lot.Mauro

    Hi!New question!I use land_light to create lights at my apron. I know that the texture halo.bmp controls the size of the buld of the diffrent lights in FS but is there another texture that controlls the size and intensity of the land_light projected on the ground or is this hard coded?I

  7. Hi gang, please check this code for error. I'm trying to display one of 4 windsock models depending on wind speed. I've tried a bglc version which didn't work...because I'm weak in bglc I can't know if it was my bad bglc coding, so i tried again with scasm. This didn't work either. This scasm example was built around the idea that I'd make library objects of the 4 different cone/pole combinations, and then do a conditional call of the library object based on c74 (acknowledgement to the real brain, Arno!).     New question, (My lake looks beautiful BTW)Turning to a coastlines, I remember that in Coastline Maker you had to make changes to coastline type only at the border of an area. Is this true for GR2K?I want to go from a coast with surf, white sand etc, to a river with no surf, but I am getting some problems and wondered if this was the answer, if so, is there way around the problem?Geoff

  12. Perhaps someone can advise me about which programs I might need to be able to fully design airports and buildings etc?I already have FSDS V2 and the latest version of Airport for Windows. I don't want to use GMax as I think I would find it too difficult to learn, certainly at the moment.So what would you advise me to get, freeware or payware, to be able to create and manipulate bitmaps and anything else you think I might need? My main objective will be to enhance airports which are already in FS2002 as I don't think I will be one of those people who will go and get FS2004 as soon as it hits the street.Thank you very much for any help.David

    Just saw a mention of this in the "favorites" thread over in the FS general forum...I haven't downloaded it (yet) and am hoping someone could explain, perhaps by a "dumbed-down" ;) walkthrough or something, the steps taken to edit scenery.Also, can rivers be changed?     Hi GuysI am currently using FSDS 1.6b to get my cordinates for a textureIs there any way in PSP7 (Invert/Flip) to read from cursorThe X value is correct of course, so does one just invert the image to read co ordinate, confused because this then puts certain objects in the image in the wrong location.     Hello all 1) I'make my own macro with EOD and after create the bgl file when i go into fs2002 i cannot see all textures that i've applied.My textures comes from 2 bmp files. I can see only textures that came from only 1 bmp files and the others appear black.Also into eod after apply texture when i go into texture window for 2 time, I get red crosses for some side of building.(textures Path is OK)How can i solve that problem?2) There's a program that can preview my api macros ?Thanks for your helps...Robi (Ciao)

    Hi Guys, I am struggling yet again, although I always get through with the forum :)I have recently Taken reasonable quality images of the buildings at the Airfield I am currently working on, although the image isn't as sharp as I would likeThe problem I am experiencing is tremendous loss in quality, which I assume is due to reducing a 1600x1200 to 512x512, not to mention 256x256. It is more like loss of detail after reduction, which makes the image seem uselessI am not a natural artist and find this aspect of scenery design very difficult, not that other parts are easier.I use Paintshop pro7, and am fairly experienced in using layers, I have tried sharpening the image(be…
