    Hi,I've heard some time ago that there should exist a program for creating textures, with has the ability to tile those textures in the program, so you can see if the boundaries fit.Many years ago, this sort of programs where also used for making background bitmaps for desktops (I had one long ago).I want to use one for creating fs ground textures. Does anyone know of an add-on for photoshop or a stand-alone program like this exists?Kind Regards,Johan Calj

    The screenshots of the new Venice scenery (soon) are very interesting. Apparently they used nice resolution aerial photos and the FULL version of GMAX to make the structures. I was quite impressed. Take a look at the attached JPG copied from the Lago site.The ability of FS200x to display a resolution higher than 4.8m/pixel would be nice since 1 meter/pixel photos are available.If this post is politically incorrect please delete.Dick

    How do I add a working refuelling area to my scenery (using FSSC)? I would like to add an 'invisible' refuelling area near my custom-made fuel pumps, but I do not want the bright yellow lines to show up.     Hi a week ago I saw an utility listed on either this site or flightsim.com. It had a feature where one could add their town/city if $Ms left it out by pasteing 2d bmp texture tiles over the grassy or bare area. Then the other day I tried looking for it again and couldn't find it. Has anyone come across this file and what site is it on? There are alot of small towns and farming area left out in the southern Ontario area. I also want to add the Welland Canal (and maybe a ship or two), which seems to have been left out.thanks, Tim.

    Hi GuysI'm still plagued by Objects visable or not, which I suspect is vectors, even when I avoid them they make life hellI have been trying to create a pole for Ndb, but as usual, it vanishes from time to time, but when I enlarged the pole to try to see what was happening, I found the hexigon shape was not true as it was in FSDS The scale is enlarged in FsDS and exagerated, for experimentationI have copied the code from the *.sca file into my Library File and then call in from the library, so the vectors are totally those from FSDSPic's below to try and show representation in FS and FSDS http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/16244.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/162…

    I have spotted several of the macro's I am using which stay at a constant color at night - they don't darken. In FS98 this could be caused by the chosen color (constant intensity colors selected by mistake) but it seems to have changed in FS2002.What is confusing is that one macro is textured and this stays bright at night too.     I'm investigating the possibility of writing a utility to modify coastlines.I'm aware of Ground2K and Coast Line Maker... but they seem quite time consuming to use for large areas.What I want to do is have my utility take an input file of points (longitude and latitude) and have it generate the appropriate BGLC code ready for compilation to a BGL.This way users of the utility can quickly build better coast lines by simply suppling the coastline input file.For example, there's some good quality US coastline data available herehttp://rimmer.ngdc.noaa.gov/coast/in particular the NOAA/NOS Medium Resolution data (1 : 70,000) which is better than the default FS2002 data (which …

    Evening folks,I have absolutely no knowledge what so ever of scenery design but I was just wondering if any of you out there in the know were interested in helping me out.There is a really nice scenery I like for FS2000 that doesn't quite function correctly in FS2002, mostly bleedthrough problems, bumpy taxiways, missing textures, taxiway lines are white etc.Now, here's where I need help, I didn't create the scenery myself obviously so I'd need to be able to do it with the BGL files in the ZIP.     First I would like to appologize to the Admins. I created an account about 6 months ago, posted once and haven't posted since then. When I tried to log on again I got a message saying "No such user name". So I created a new account with the same user name. If that's against the rules, my appoligies. Now for the real reason of this post... I've pretty much gotten tired of coloring all of those B&W photos and the red ones weren't much easier. I couldn't find a program to recolor the infrared pics from mapquest (does one exist?), so I decided to try and make one myself.     During compilation dreaded error " 621 lake/curve: a curve crosses itself" appears. I do understand what that means and even I have no lakes yet it are probable the roads which are crossing over and causing this error. Is this possible? In my project no polygons, no water yet exist - only roads. And 2nd question is, that there is number 44 in the window which follows with "Lod8/13cut" note. Can this be in anyway helpful in locating offending spot? And finaly: how to make crossing roads without generating error? Different layers? Ted

    This is a new topic on the same subject. The other thread was getting really long. I am attempting to modify an arm of an existing lake using Ground2K. I have been able to create a new LWM land polygon. I gave it a ridiculously high elevation just to see if it worked and it did. My problem continues to be excluding the existing water in the branch of the lake so I can paint on a new water polygon. You can see the raised land poly below.     I have looked through the Avsim file library and found a number of AFCAD files etc for EHAM (amsterdam Schipol Airport) and no actual scenery. I was wondering if anyone would make exact scenery for Amsterdam Schipol Airport and a some scenery for a 2nm radias from the airport.

    Is it possible to use AFCAD on a grass runway? I created a new scenery using ground2k and airport and Id like to add some planes. I prefer to use more detailed aircraft than converting old fs98 and 2000 planes to api. Ive tried to add in some dynamic aircraft and setting the flight times to once a week in the middle of the night so they will be static most of the time. The runway is only about 1800ft. so maybe length is a problem but I would have to guess that its most likely the uneven mesh terrain. The heights of the strip range from 201' to 203'. Also.. since i just want static aircraft, I could make the runway in AFCAD a longer length since no one will ever see …

    This is kind of a stupid question. I should know the answer but I don't.I tryed to convert some of the textures that are in a scenery that has been already released ( It's one of mine).
