Hi all.Bernd R. Fix has released BusyObjects 1.0 as freeware for our enjoyment.A new approach to dynamic movement in FS2002, and most probably, FS9, that overcomes some limitations of traditional dynamic scenery.The program creates an API of movement that can be used with our more traditional scenery GUI programs. Text will need to be inserted to define the object into the API code, so this is for SCASM-savy designers. Also, Gmax is required to define the movement for export to the API, although, I believe, the FS2002 gamepack is not required for use.BusyObjects Version 1.0Many thanks to Bernd.Dick

Hi,For your online "Search and Rescue Operation" scenery, I need to add smoke and fire effects for a crashed plane. It should be nice , if smokes reachs 10-15 meters up.So searching aircrafts can see the smoke.I placed some effects but didn't satisfy me. HiI am trying to produce some dynamic objects for my scenery using GMAX, Busy Objects, FsRegen. I am trying to follow the Busy Objects tutorial and have so far got to this:I make the track in Airport 2.6 using a road of 1metre.I then follow the instructions of copying and pasting code into the various places as required.Track shows OK in Gmax. I then put a place marker object and follow the instructions for animation and conversion to key frame. I export it and create the API. All this goes OK.I then create the object for Dynamic scenery using GMAX. I export it, use regen to produce the asm and library files. This is OK as well.Now the problem starts. I open the API for t…

I've experimented with lanclass but find it no good for cities as the areas are too large, then I see that Microsoft doesn't use it either:So what are they doing to get the woods/park in this picture (actually the Englisher garten in Munchen)? Can you do this with ground 2K?????

How can a make a runway? I use FSDS2. I would like to make a little dirt strip or concrete tarmac out in the middle of nowhere with a neat little cabin. The cabin is no problem, but the runway I have no idea on how to make.ThanksBill

Hey all,I've been into designing basic scenery for some time now...I've used landclass, coastline editor and gmax but still can't figure out how to vividly create nicely shaped elevation terrain for example cliffs which are by default low hills in FS2002 rather than over 250 m high as they should be.Can anyone suggest some program to manipulate the default scenery and shape the terrain to the actual heights? I'm only interested in mdifying the elevations and nothing else....Cheers all.Stormshadow

ok, i live in seattle, about 3 miles away! and im not any scenery designer, but could someone in the future, update the terminal areas by adding the red gate numbers above the gates, and add the red tower that guides you to the runway, also the Alaska Air and Northwest maintence hangars?? it's a big part of SEA and this airport feels empty without gthe updates i mentioned! if anyone is willing to do it before or just whenever before next year!! i would be so grateful!!! believe me, i would be more honored than you could imagin!thnks a lot disigners Tim here! A mid is a terrible thing to lose!

Hi everyboby...I made some simple buildings (just a box)using some custom, day and night, textures as well as some microsoft's; then I made them Apis with Fsregen and through FSSC I had them in my project... everything worked fine with the compilation, but during night I see conflicted textures on my buildings :-eek ... not on the faces, but on the edges of them... There is anybody out there having any idea why?..It' s to hot today at Kerkira-Greece:-bla ...

Hi everyone, lots of good tips and tricks in this forum :)I see that there is a freeware scenery being developed for the Boston airport in FS2002. In the mean time is there a relatively painless way to straighten out the ILS's (especially 15R) for the original scenery. Approaching to minimums on 15R is a little like doing an NDB approach to minimums North of 60! I assume the only way is to put together a navaid exclude file and redo all the runways and approach aids?Thanks in advance, D8pilot

I thought I would ask this group a question that I have related to the ground textures. Why the ground textures in MSFS are so blurry? Is this a limitation of MSFS or has anyone created a better texture so the ground looks more realistic?

The following pictures show Angel Island off the tip of Tiburon in San Francisco bay. Have had very good results redrawing the coast from Stinson Beach (Pacific side) around to north of San Quintien on the Bay side. However, the SE corner of the Island does not fully contain the land. I have no LandFills in this area, just Excludes (all options) The Land Right has been tried both off an on. LWM is set to land. Note that the "leaked" land is curved which should indicate that it is not a delete or landfill issue which usually seem to always follow LOD-8 borders.I have tried everything that I can think of.
