    Logger v.1.1 Released Logger is a FS9 and FSX module that provides file read and write capability for XML gauges. Logger enables hundreds of different number or string variables of any type (A:, E:, P:, G:, L:, or gps) to be written to or read from a hard disk file each update cycle. The module enables the user to write XML Flight Data Recorder gauges, save and load flight plans, save and load initial values for XML gauges that cannot otherwise be saved with Flight Sim’s Save Flight, or record flights for subsequent playback as Google Earth Tracks and Tours. New in version 1.1: Two new variables and revised error handling have been added in version 1.1. countRead ret…

I would like to add a simple attitude adjust gauge when the autopilot is engaged to adjust the pitch just like in the real aircraft. I have the bitmaps needed to make the gauge. But I 'm thinking about leaving it transparent and having it as a mouse click. Can some one please assist me? Thanks, Jason Here is a pic of the autopilot...

  5. I'm trying to find a way to keep various windows in place where I put them across multiple monitors, but when a flight is reset, things "move around" and I must reposition them each time. Is there a way to do this? Also, I'm in windowed mode vs. full screen, not sure if that makes a difference. thanks, Andrew

    Hi guys, have been busy for 5 hours now with searching the Forums, Internet and so on. What I am trying to do is to assign the sound of the Autodeployment of Armed Spoilers (in Boeing Aircraft that is) when the main gear touches the ground through the dsd_xml_gauge3 by Doug Dawson. I am trying to implement this in the CLS 747-200. I created a folder called "Spoiler" in the FS9/Aircraft/CLS_B747-200F_PW/Panel folder which contains the dsd_xml_sound3.gau file, sound.ini, spoilersound.xml and autospoiler.wav. the sound.ini looks as follows: [Config]MaxSounds=11 LvarStop=dsd_stop_sounds VolumeVar=dsd_xml_sound_volume [LVars]Lvar00=spoilersound [sounds]Sound00…

    I want to create momentary buttons purely as a visual effect that are Bitmap lit up when clicked. This is for (1) a extended function autopilot that is FS9 style xml. and (2) for a MFD radar that is in Aces/ESP style xml . Both instruments are in a FSX 2D panel. A lit Bitmap would appear only briefly when clicked . Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Karol

    Hi,I am now slowly getting along with Gmax. At last.One question:I have now added the calibration box, from which I have detached the six sides as separate items. How do I toggle that item backdrop to disappear so that I can have a better and darker background to see better if I zoom in very close. And if possible how to toggle it back.

  10. Hi, FSX is complaining about this snippet of XML, but I don't understand why. Could someone please help me figure out what, if anything, is wrong with this XML fragment? Color="%((G:Var1) 0 == if{ 'White' } els{ '#a0a0a0' })%!s!" The error message displayed by FSX is Error: Invalid script (no command is more than 4 characters): ")%!s!" Thanks for any help. Eric

    I am creating a Tactical Situation Display (TSD) Gauge to replicate the one in the T-6B that I am currently flying, which is essentially a GPS gauge that only shows the MOAs we fly in, I have successfully gotten it to only show MOAs however I cannot change the color of the Airspace borders to white. Even after editing the ColorLayerAirspace variable it only seems to change the brightness of the Layer. -Matthew Chase

    I'm trying to detect two mouse buttons selected at the same time: if((mouse_flags & MOUSE_RIGHTSINGLE) && (mouse_flags & MOUSE_MIDDLESINGLE)) - but it never triggers. The MOUSE_CHILD_FUNCT listing is correct: (...)MOUSE_LEFTSINGLE | MOUSE_RIGHTSINGLE | MOUSE_DOWN_REPEAT | MOUSE_MIDDLESINGLE, ap_ias_select_mcb So, a simple question - what has eejit here overlooked? -Dai

  14. Hi all, Just got FSX Panel Studio and it seems to be great. However - I want to mess around and create panels for an existing aircraft without "messing up" the original. I'm having a slight issues with RXP (different thread in a few moments on that) but was wondering what the "standard procedure" might be. Simply: I want to make an IFR panel from scratch and have the aircraft identifiable, e.g. "Bravo for IFR". However, I don't know how to duplicate the aircraft in a way that both shows up in Panel Studio and then shows up in FSX. Any help/suggestions appreciated. thanks, Andrew

    I just edited a panel by taking out VOR1 and replacing the DG with an HSI. I'm using an RXP 430 in the panel. However, I found that if VOR1 is installed, the HSI reacts to NAV1 normally, even if the 430 is turned off - but if VOR1 is removed, the HSI only links to the NAV freq. on the 43 Is there a way around this? I want to be able to use the NAV radios with the HSI when the 430 is off. Also - is there a way to get the 430 to sync with the NAV stack? Also #2, , I have a Saitek radio panel, and would like to be able to control the NAV freqs on the 430 with it, but not sure if this is possible. :) Being pretty new at this I know what I want but not …

    Hi all, In my quest for better engine sounds, I aliased the sound from the FSX Goose to an add-on plane (Shupe's AC680) and I have this sound problem: When I'm sitting with the engines at idle, the sound is great but when I go back inside the cockpit from an outside view, the engines are at high RPM. I have to increase the throttle to about 50% then back to idle to make the sound come back to idle. Is it the design of the plane? This also happens in the Goose cockpit, but it's even worse because I can't get the Goose engines to be at idle inside the cockpit no matter what. Any idea why this is happening?

    I'm trying to script a remote control keypad/panel for a G1000. All of the edge buttons and most of the knobs on the MFD have been moved to the remote control unit, so I need an (easy?) way to accomplish my goal. Unfortunately, because of the absolute horror of all the inter-dependent @macros it is becoming a bit of a nightmare. I was doing fine until I got the the ENT button. In the remote unit's <Mouse> section, I have the following script: <!-- =========================== ENTER Button ========================================= --> <Area Name="ENT Button" Left="170" Top="106" Width="34" Height="25"> <Click Kind="LeftSingle+Leave"&gt…

    I am building a custom panel for a Carenado Bonanza V35B that has a very strange issue.When I use the custom panel, the ailerons get stuck in full left deflection. The stock Carenado panels fly just fine. I have tried turning off and disabling the auto-pilot, and I have tried removing and re-installing the aircraft. I have even tried creating a panel with nothing but the background bmp.Carenado Bonanza V35B for FSXFS panel studio (latest build)FSX SP2Any ideas? It's driving me nuts.

    Hi. The new 2D panel is very "pretty" but unusable when flying, because you are not sat in a pilots perspective, but in the middle of the 2 seats, so right down the middle of the outside view is the windscreen panel. You cant see the runway, so take offs and landings in 2D are impossible. Honestly, I do not know what Wilko were thinking? Is there a way to edit the 2D panel, to move it to the right, even if it means having a gap on the left of screen, to get a better captains perspective? Cheers. Eddie
