Calling on all talented painters. Could somebody please do a repaint of POSKY's new, fantastic B757-200 for FS2004, in the original Air Transat livery - as pictured here? Many Thanks http://www.airliners.net/open.file/210543/L/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/043413/L/:-)

Am curious how to go about making a cabinet file for my gauges... I'm using Windows.XP and have found a file, "MAKECAB.EXE" in the WINDOWSSYSTEM32 section. Maybe this isn't the correct executable to use, but perhaps someone can help me to find the correct one and how to go about using it.Best to all...Kevin Sparkuhl

Hi, I am new to xml and panel design in general. I am trying to make a simicon that will click from the pilot panel to the copilot panel. Here is the xml code that I have in it. I basically copied it from the default gps simicon code and tried to apply it to my copilot panel information.10500(>K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE) And this is the panel.cfg entry for the window that I am trying to open with this simicon.[Window02]file=panel2.bmp file_1024=panel2.bmp size_mm=1024window_size_ratio=1.000 position=7visible=0ident=10500window_size= 1.000, 1.000window_pos= 0.000, 0.000gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 257,345,247,197gauge01=Bendix_King_Radio!Bendix-King Radio AP, 257,630,250,76gauge…

In the choppers, the collective is controlled by the throttle. I am trying to make the chopper hold a specific height, and have it adjust the throttle to do so. I have seen Arne Bartells hover gauge, and was blown away, so I thought I would try to do one in xml.here is what I have so far:(A:Radio height, feet) 10.5 < if{ (A:GENERAL ENG1 THROTTLE LEVERPOSITION,part) 16384 * 50 + (>K:THROTTLE1_SET) } els{ (A:GENERAL ENG1THROTTLE LEVER POSITION,part) 16384 * 50 - (>K:THROTTLE1_SET) } It pops up to 20 or so feet AGL, then decreases throttle and settles back on the ground and off it goes again. Seems it cannot refresh itself fast enough to maintain anything like a cl…

I have recently downloaded a new Airbus A300s panel from Avsim.com - a3bgt_20.zip. It's one of the most complicated panels I've ever seen, but I am getting to grips with it, slowly: on the whole it's pretty impressive so worth the effort (the manual runs to 26 pages!).Is there anyone here who is familiar with this panel and can answer me a couple of questions?1. Can I set the 'Fail' screen so that the option 'Easy Start' is always at 'yes'? Otherwise I have to go into this window every time and set this option manually - if you don't do it you can't start the engines! (Or can I even have the engines running at the start of the flight, as with all my other aircraft?).2. Th…

Hi,Well this is a very beatifull plane with a nice VC.I (temporarily) switched from my good old Delta 767-300 to the Transavia 757 (with VC)I noticed immediatly that the overhead panel is flipped from left to right (180*)I tried to correct that (posky752vc2_t, etc.) with MSPaint, but that didn't work.Do i need a special program to edit those textures?Never did that before.Tried to post that in the Posky forum.Also in the General Forum, but no advice.Anybody?Jan"Procul Negotiis"

Hi,After testing and using some code from mr Pike and Doug Dawson's xmlsound.gau. finally managed to make a reasonable wiper with sound.One has to make a maskimage of the windshield, a wiper and do experiments with the coordinates. Install the new xmlsound.gau, find a nice sound and you 're set.Here is the code: (G:Var1) (G:Var2) + (>G:Var1) (G:Var1) 2 <= if{ (L:Wiper, enum) (>G:Var2) } (G:Var1) 30 >= if{ (L:Wiper, enum) /-/ (>G:Var2) } (G:Var1) 30 < if{ (L:Wiper, enum) 0 == if{ 2 (>G:Var2) } } (G:Var1)Somewhere on a panel, i have it on the overhead, a switch with clickspots:Wiper Off (A:Electrical master battery,bool) if{ 51707904 (>K:ADF2_COMPLET…

Anyone willing or working on a Sherpa C-23 the 2002 model is lacking prop animation for one thing. The sherpa is overhailed here at West Virginia Airservice/Bombadere and many are in the air doing flight checks. No lettering is needed. I have tried to contact Barry Blaisdell several times but no reply.Richard Hill

Gosh fellow "real" gmaxers, this ole bulldozing bully from the cornfields of Illinois never would have guessed we had so many people interested in adding gmax EyeCandy for Virtual cockpits. See the current number of downloads for the file

I'm relatively new to FS2004. So far I've only downloaded repaints to the standard aircraft availiable with the program. I downloaded the POSKY 757-200 American Airlines as the first attempt to add a new aircraft to the program. I read a tutorial at simviation.com on adding additional planes. I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions but have two problems:1)Only one side of the plane is painted in AA colors- the other side is plain metal2) The installation instructions mention adding the gauge and effect files to FS gauge and effect folders. I found neither in the download. I did find an effects file on AVSIM site which I downloaded and installed, but no gauge fileAnyon…

Hi eveyone! I wanted to know if there was a prefered method of creating textures for aircraft. I like the way alot of the freeware and payware aircraft are textured (eg. the Aero Commander, Posky 757, PSS a3XX) but, when I try to duplicate the same style for my own project, the results are not as I desired. Any tips?Thanx in advance!!P.S. Here's a shot:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/45359.jpg

Having problems calibrating an airfile with a new Gmax model in FS2004.The aircraft.cfg has been set up with the correct contact points, fuel tank locations, root chord etc. However, after modifying the aircraft.cfg file so that the airfile and visual model work together - the aircraft now oscillates in yaw and roll when in AP HDG HOLD, or at high speed.Might this have something to do with Wing_Apex, or Wing_Sweep, which have been altered to gain a correct CG?Thanks in advanceAsh

Hi,I'm trying to cleanup my XML gauge code.Since a lot of my gauges are state-driven (and therefore click events depend on the state), I tried: (L:state,number) ....operations ....other operations But this doesn't work (a click doesn't do anything)Also tried (L:state,number) ; doesn't work either.I know I can solve it wit nested if-els, but the CASE would make the code more simple to read.ANy suggestions ??Thanks, Rob

Hi,I'm still trying to write freq. in the range 1700.0 - 1799.9 to ADF.I made the following testgauge: 28672 (>K:ADF_HIGHRANGE_SET) This doesn't work; the ADF freq. remains unchanged !28672 (>K:ADF_HIGHRANGE_SET): No change in ADF (1700.0 expected)4096 (>K:ADF_HIGHRANGE_SET): ADF set to 1100.0, as expected28672 (>K:ADF_LOWRANGE_SET): ADF set to 700.0, as expected.4096 (>K:ADF_LOWRANGE_SET): ADF set to 100.0, as expectedAnd this applies to both FS2002 and FS9 ....Any suggestions ? ADF_SET or ADF_EXTENDED_SET perhaps ?But how to write these ?Thanks in advance, Rob

Hi,Perhaps someone can help me here.I'm using Easy Gauge to create a gauge.I'm trying to create a gauge that sits in the windshield. I want the gauge to be semi-transparent, so you can see through it and view the outside world, but still see the icons on the gauge.Essentially, I want it to look like the FS2004 ATC dialogue.I'm using Paint Shop Pro, and I've tried using RGB 0,0,0 for the inside of the gauge, but to no avail.Any ideas?Bry
