Hello all...I'm looking for a little assistance with a few issues while in the process of upadating my 737-Next Generation panel for both FS8 and FS9.I want to add an area in my MFD that will state the current ILS Frequency when in range and which signal has been aquired. Basically it will read something like this: "ILS 108.50" And that's it... I'm scratching my head trying to fiqure this out. I don't want it to be adjustable from the MFD, just there to show that the ILS has been aquired and what frequency it's tuned to. Any help would be appreciated. Also, does anyone have a list they can share of xml text colors and fonts that are used in xml code? I know of a few …

Ok, Im kinda new, not to FS but to the whole changing things around within FS. I am currently running FS2002, and am curious, why when I set my autopilot to any altitude over FL350 do the default aircraft struggle to it. For example I had my 777(default) climbing to FL365. As it passed say 355 I started to loose airspeed. Now I downloaded MelJet's wonderful 777-300er, put a great panel in it and set my autopilot to FL365 and the jet just cruised up and never lost airspeed....!Do I make changes to the .air file...or is it something else? Thnx.....Jeff (-:

Trying to make deice switch "luminous" Can anyone see why it does not show up luminous? Second gauge, pitot heat, does show up luminous.Fair warning I lack knowledge of XML. I am just using FS Panel studio to edit gauges by copying and pasting.(A:General eng1 anti ice position, bool)Left Engine and Elevator Deice0 (>K:ANTI_ICE_TOGGLE_ENG1) 1 (>K:TOGGLE_AFTERBURNER1)This is the pitot heat switch which shows up "luminous"(A:PITOT HEAT,bool)0 [>K:PITOT_HEAT_TOGGLE] 1 (>K:TOGGLE_AFTERBURNER1)

I'm figuring that the main difference is what variables are available for use. If you have a recip engine, then the turbine variables are useless, for example. What I'm wondering is: a) What variables does the type 3 helicopter use. :( Is there an advantage to using this type vs. turboprop?Anyway, hope some light can be shed. Thanks

I have a fde (with Jet turbne) and when advance the throttle it first goes to a higher N1% and then it goes back to the actual N1. (for instance if i want N1 stabilize at 40% it goes first to 48% and then back to 40%) I have looked around on sites, and in the air file and cfg file but wich setting is 'managing'this thing? (I use airedit)But the main thing is, when a/t is arm, and the plane has to decelerate the a/t commands less throttle but the engines are reacting too slow. (it goes inmediatly with less throttle but it takes forever to get them on half power) How do I change this one? Also in level flight with throttle at idle the plane wont decelerate, maybe this has to…

First I am totally new to painting... :-) so some of the Q's may seem dumb :-)I downloaded the PSS A330/340 paint kits and need a little help.I use Paint Shop Pro 7, and having little problem understanding how to go about painting the textures. They supply you with *.tga files and PSP7 can open it no problem, now they say to

Hi all you panel designers.... Can someone recomend a GA panel download for me? I want a panel that shows only the gauges - no switches, no "cockpit scenery" etc, that fills a full monitor screen. I'm building a home GA cockpit and all the switches, the throttle etc are on the physical cockpit panel. Above the yoke I'm placing a flat panel that will show the instruments, but all the panels I can find show the stuff I don't want too. Any suggestions?Rick

Hi, I have the cold start-up utility and some airplanes I have don't have a avionics switch or a battery master switch. I know to turn on the battery is shift+m but is there a key command for the avionics? I have to switch airplanes to turn on the avionics.

hey I have a question about the landing lights in gmax. I made for the nosewheel 4 lights, 2 landing and 2 taxi. I named them light_land_01 (02, 03 etc) and light_taxi_01 (02 etc) The landing lights on the wing are also light_land_0x Now for the wing they work perfect, but on the nosewheel the landing lights arent responding to the landing light switch in the panel. They respond to the taxilight switch (together with the taxi lights). I was wondering if some one here knows why it does that? btw i use default 777 panel for the plane (its a 757). and also my painter told me he had the same. So its not the panel i assume. thanx for any help

Hello Distinguished Panel Designers Thanks to your effort and talent, we can d/l many superb new panels for FS9. A lot among you decided to offer your panels with the engines off. I do not have any problem going through the engine start procedure when I am on the ground. However here is my problem: I have a couple of saved final approach flights to practice my landing :-)These flights are in spot view, and I cannot switch to the panel view because the engines stop as soon as I see the panel . Is there a command somewhere (panel.cfg or else) that I could change to be sure that the engines keep running when I access the panel view?I sure hate to see my engines quitting a…

With the following color settings in my panel config I get a "yellowish" hue to the gauges with "luminous=yes" in them. Not being a color expert could someone help with a color combination that would result in a more "white" appearance? I am satisfied with the "brightness" of the gauges but want to change the hue. Hope that makes sense?Day=255,255,255Night=40,40,70Luminous=200,200,101Thanks

G'Day!This doesn't happen all the time, only with the occasional aircraft. When I select an aircraft and it first comes up, the textures are very burred. However, when I cycle through the views, coming back to the external view again, they are then sharp and clear. The texture is currently in 32-bit 888-8 format, but I have also tried them in DXT3, still with the same phenomenon.I have seen this in the past as well on a completely different computer and video card. Can anyone help here? I don't know if this is a problem of mine, or a fault in the model file or what? Again, it doesn't happen with every aircraft, only a few.Sincerest regards,Heather

Hi,I'm trying to convert my FSConnect module from C to C++ so I can take advantage of the object oriented features of the language, but when I change the file extension to cpp, I get compile errors: error C2086: 'Linkage' : redefinition error C2086: 'ImportTable' : redefinitionIn a way, it makes sense, because those structures are declared twice. Makes me wonder how it worked in straight C.So I combined the declarations like this:__declspec(dllexport) GAUGES Linkage = { 0x0000520F, module_init, module_deinit, 0, 0, 0x0900, 0, …
