Can anyone recommend a good texture profile for rex? I never know which one to choose and don't feel like taking the time to create my own at the moment. Looking for something realistic and using opus for weather engine. Flying primarily in north america if that matters at all.

Has anyone had any luck getting these to play nice? I don't have TVSV yet though I intend on purchasing it later today. I do have TLPC and I've not had any luck getting it to work with either the PWSceneries or Vallidier's scenery. I prefer their overall island sceneries to what is included outside of the airport with the T2G scenery but using them together gives me lots of problems at the airport like floating objects and things.

I'm just wondering if there are any other aircraft in FSX that have a full FMC, one's I already have LevelD/PMDG/CS.

I'm looking for a good Cessna 172 that would be better than the default. Any good ones out there?

Stephen or Cheryl could you answer this for me please. To get Opus weather working in fsx, do I just run it via server and select opus weather in fsx? Or if I select clear weather will Opus still work? I am still getting over speeds of a bout 1 second duration during a flight about 5-6 times? Some two months ago, I loaded a legal FSX Deluxe Edition without any problem and all went well. However, I recently tried to load the Acceleration disc, at the end of which I was asked to activate the installation. This proved to be impossible either online or by telephone (possibly because I had invoked FSX backward compatibility) and since I could no longer run FSX, I uninstalled it strictly in accordance with the excellent PMDG online guidance. However, when I try to reinstall FSX all goes well until I reach the end of Disc 2 when C:\...Licences\client-issuance-ppd xrm-ms file appears and a warning message comes up saying "Please insert disc", with no indication of whi…

Is there a way to find out why it's doing this so I can pinpoint the problem?

Hi all. Looking at a fresh re-install of FSX fairly soon from a clean format. When considering terrain/scenery-based addons, what order should I prefer to follow? I want this to be a broad-based question considering all the types out there, but I'm thinking about things like REX, GEX, FS Genesis Mesh, ORBX, various companies' individual airports, etc. etc. Is there any preference for how addons like these are put in to service? Thanks!

One thing I like in X-Plane is that you can choose any runway and select a 3nm or 10nm distance to land. Is there anything remotely like this on FSX. I find this perfect to practice your landings.

The 'FX_BEACONH.FX' file is not in the Effects folder. The 'FX_STROBE.FX' file is not in the Effects folder. The 'FX_STROBEH.FX' file is not in the Effects folder. How can I get a hold of these files manually? thanks!

Hello I tried some autosave programs to FSX but had no success. Some interrupts the FSX starup and don´t work. Other one requires simconnect. Another one there is no readme.txt and apparently don´t work too. Any idea? Thanks!

According to their FB page they are doing a piston Malibu. Shouldn't be too hard to take the modeling from the jet prop hehe.

No reply from Reality-XP support yet so, I was wondering if it's possible to alter the background color of the Reality-XP T gauges. I installed them in my Carendo C-172N, but don't care for them since the Carenado guages use black backgounds and the Reality-XP gauges are dark gray. Thanks, Ernie

I use REX to change my lighting, like runway lights, aircraft nav lights, etc. Questions are: 1) Does REX have any affects on UTX's night lighting system when changing up the light textures. Does UTX call for halo.bmp? 2) Does UTX night light use it's own lighting system and custom .bmp file? I am in the process of fine tuning my runway lights at the airport, ie: papi, approach, apron, centerline, etc. and don't want it to interfere with anything else like the street lighting and such. As long as REX and UTX night lighting doesn't conflict with one another.

This may be a dumb question but in videos I watched of real life cockpit in planes like 777 no one is controlling yoke while taxing or I am really missing them. How can that be possible or am I missing?

My scenery library is quite large with roughly about 200+ entries. I want to go through and prioritize it to make sure that I am seeing everything that I should when flying. I have UTX entries in there and between UTX USA and UTX EUR they're split up. And do VFR photo scenery go below or above the UTX entries? I also use FS Global for my meshes. Is the order suppose to go something like this: 1) FTX Entries pertaining to Regions and Airports 2) aerosoft airports 3) aerosoft us cities 4) UTX USA 5) UTX EU 6) VFR Photo Sceneries 7) Megascenery Socal 8) Megascenery Hawaii 9) Default FSX Entries 10) FS Global
