When viewing way out into the horizon, I notice at certain times the bottom portion of the clouds are cut off horizontally across in a straight line. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have a set of 6 AI HS125-700s of 32 Sqn (Royal Flight) based at EGWU RAF Northolt, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any representative flightplans for these aircraft? I could create fictional ones, but I would prefer to have something a bit more realistic....assuming that they visit a handful of UK airports and/or military airfields.

Hi, Following the threads regarding the release of FTXG, I am actually hoping my GEX, and to a lesser extent UTX, will soon be updated to the FTXG level. Or at least see some improvement. I have already invested so prefer to stay loyal. I am checking for updates but none so far. The GEX forum is not showing any activity either. Can anybody shed some light on this? Should I wait for Flight1 (the Publisher) to come up with updates or shouldn't I even expect that and go for FTXG? Menno

As my issues may not necessarily be a product flaw, I'm not certian how quickly, if at all, they will reply. Greetings! I recently installed the Opus WE and in the process it hijacked my F12 key assignment. It used to be a top-down view that when zoomed out really radically would show the Earth. Now it shows my aircraft butt. So, I deleted the Opus assignment and thought, well, maybe Top-down view is the one? Nope. What is the control setting for the top-down view? I use it when I get "lost" and find out that the canyon I was supposed to follow was indeed, the wrong canyon. Thank you! JKH

Hi all I know this has been discussed in many places many times before...but I am having the problem of the Posky 747v4 sliding when taxiing. Before these suggestions come up, I have tried updated FDE (didn't work) (many many) modifications to the .cfg (didn't work) replacing it with an FDE from a different plane (don't understand why not, but... didn't work) Now I am starting to get annoyed. One more thing, I have had the planes working properly in this installation of FSX, it is just over the last month or so that I have had this problem. Please help!!! Thanks

Is there any way to customise the aircraft.cfg (or other) so that the fuel tanks shown are more akin to the real plane? For example, to have Center, Left Aux, Right Aux, etc. etc. is not very helpful for Concorde: it would be great (and make it much easier to sort out how much fuel to use) to see Tank1, Tank 2, Tank 5a, Tank 7a, Tank 11 .. that sort of thing, when you go into the FS menu aircraft/fuel window, instead of the standard designations... Possible somehow??? Editing the names in the aircraft.cfg file just causes the fuel option in the FS menu to be greyed out.

Hi fellow simmers! The A2A Boeing Stratocruiser is easily one of the best FSX planes ever. I have a feeling I am going to spend most of my flight hours in this bird... However, I would like some suggestions on landings from the more experienced pilots out there... The manual suggests a landing speed of 120 knots. I decend through 100 feet with full flaps and gear down, maintaining 120 knots. The manual clearly warns against cutting power while in the air. The drag from deployed flaps, gear and cowl flaps are massive, so I understand this. However, at 120 knots, it's very hard to get the main gear down first. Since UTX is lacking in areas like Asia, I was curious to know if SceneryTech landclass is any good in those regions that aren't covered by UTX?

I was looking at a utility for FSX called FSX Go made by OrbX. Seems like a very useful app since I would like to have more than 1 fsx.cfg and use a certain one depending on the type of scenery or situation. Is there a freeware equivalent app like this that I can get for FSX? If not I'll just buy it.

I just installed ftx global, and, the textures look nice except for the fact that over land there are these annoying black boxes everywhere, what are they and how do I rid myself of them?

I have an AI Eastern Airways Embraer ERJ135 (G-CGMB) that is always referred to by ATC as "Embraer Charlie Golf Mike Bravo". Now, this would be fine if it didn't have a designated "atc_airline" name (EASTFLIGHT). Can anyone think of any reason why ATC would NOT use the atc_airline designation? I would prefer them to use "EASTFLIGHT xxx". On a side note, I notice that ATC referred to a departing Thomson Airways flight as "THOMSON -1"! Is that just a glitch? I wouldn't imagine that they should ever be given negative designations.

I've had FTXG since 12:30 am this morning. I've flown to all my normal non-ORBX regional sites that were GEX/UTX rendered. It's really too bad in a way that there will be so many persons swayed to not picking this up, because of, and ONLY BECAUSE of...seeing pictures posted to AVSIM, and any other site that makes you reduce the screen grab in resolution and pixel count to fit upload mandates. Hi, I am using Ultimate Traffic 2 for Airline AI traffic and Traffic X for GA traffic as suggested by several users. I have Airline traffic enabled within UT2 and they show up fine. I have the Daily slider at zero in UT2 which I was told controls the GA traffic in UT2, and the GA slider in FSX at 50% since I am assuming the FSX GA slider controls the Traffic X traffic. I am showing plenty of airline traffic but no GA traffic. The Traffic X manual only says to adjust the slider in FSX. Any ideas? Thanks. Tom

I have this Go flight module GF-WP-6 Warning Panel Module This is the most useless Go flight module I own. Go flight modules are generall very good. So not sure whats up with this announciater panel. None of my add on aircrafts sync up with this module.. and I am not sure how to program this to sync up with addon aircrafts. Have any of you all used this before and how are y'all using it?

I am currently using the free version. and I notice that there are some options that I don't have that in the manual states that I need to do since I am using the non-paid version. Does this have any affect on the weather system? Or should I buy the paid version of in order to get the most from OpusFSX?

I was doing a flight with the FSL Concorde X the other night, and when i pressed my yoke button that was assigned to Ctrl-F5, the sim crashed. I thought it was just a random error, so i fired up the sim, and sure enough, it did it again. Then i tried other aircraft, and anytime i press the ctrl-f5 the sim crashes. has anyone else had this problem?

I am currently trying out EFB. They provide a lot of the communication frequencies. Is there any way to locate the ILS runway frequencies in EFB or free website? Right now I am using the default map in FSX to get the frequencies when assigned a runway, but I would love to be able to do that with EFB since its on a second computer and would not result in me being distracted from my flight. I know I could print this info out from fsx ahead of time, but trying to avoid generating a mess of paper.

I've got the trial running and want to buy it but I can't seem to get the anti-popup to work. No matter what the setting is at I still have to be within 50 feet of the terminal for that terminal's ground clutter to load. I thought the anti-popup is supposed to multiply the view distance by up to 30x for which ground clutter appears, making it load the 3d objects as far away as the airports boundaries (in theory). Anyone else got it working correctly? I signed up for their forum but am still awaiting verfication by their admin. I'm getting 26+ FPS with the airport and strip fully in view in the Aerosoft Airbus with FTXG at max autogen so the performance is …
