Hi all, I was thinking about changing the way the Virtualcol J31 flies. It is really sloppy with the rudder and the flight dynamics. I currently work in a J31 operator and I looked for a good J31 for FSX but there is nothing besides Virtualcol. Would it be possible to modify the .air file and aircraft.cfg file to make it behave like another aircraft in FSX? Perhaps the J41 or a B200? I'm not sure where to even begin. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just noticed this horizontal color banding during dawn/dusk. Seems to eminate from the sun and is most noticable as the blue gets darker towards the sky. My desktop and sim are both in 32bit. Happens both on LCD TV and computer monitor. I tried re installing video drivers. Is this normal?

Hi, just trying the ENB series and I have to say I'm hooked. Days look great...awesome. Nights darker like it should be. I cant fly without it now. The only downside is the black screens I get when switching menus. Its annoying starting a flight, firing up Fs passengers and then the black screen where you can hear the sound but no video is rendered. I have kostas tweaks applied and they give me very good simming experience, but doing some reading I found that the Enb is not compatible with the HIGHMEMFIX=1 line I added to the graphics section of my fsx.cfg so I disabled it and voila!! Hey guys I am going to build a new pc, to upgrade from my 400$ Laptop with integrated graphics and a crappy processor. I am ready to stop playing games at 5 FPS. I remember trying the autogen tweak where you rename the "default" in the autogen folder to "defaultold". I'm pretty sure I did this on a prior install before this one. I checked again and it was named "default" so either I changed it back, or I didn't touch it at all on this current install. From what I know, that tweak removes some autogen including the fast food joints. Here's the deal, I just spent about an hour flying low and slow above Toronto, Vegas, and San Francisco with max autogen and scenery comp sliders, and I didn't spot a single fast food joint. Was thinking today that it would be handy to have some sort of light that simulates a pilot's small flashlight to help find switches in cold and dark situations. It seems impossible due to having to swap portions of textures, etc. But are there other ways to accomplish it? Is there some app that can adjust brightness/contrast in a limited circular area of the screen? Could an ENB filter of some sort do it? It's probably improbable. Just seemed like a neat little app if some clever person could think of a way.

I always found the volume of the thunder and precipitation sounds in FSX to be very low. I have AS2012 which comes with it's own different sounds and I find them better than the default FSX sounds but I still find the volume to be too low. Guess I could modify the wav files myself and increase the volume a bit but thought I would ask here first if someone else maybe already did this?

Hi all, I would like to know that anyone use any tools in FSX? Except yoke and joystick.

I keep getting a situation in FSX where the aircraft is descending (Iknow because the houses are getting bigger and the attitude indicator shows it is ) but the altimeter is climbing at a rate beyond the aircraft's capability. I haven't experienced this in real life flying I'm happy to say! Any ideas on (a) why this happens and (b) what can I do about it?

My temp at FL340 is showing 11C, but when I go into Opus Reports it shows it should be -55. I've tried restarting Opus and no luck. I haven't upgraded for a week or so and it's been running fine until now.

Hello guys! I'm using OpusFSX with REX and FSPassengers. Sometimes if I got a weather update, my passenger said that i have exceeded the g-force limit and the plane jumps from the left ot the right. My speed changes from .89 to .79 during the update and my passengers are screaming I dont know if this is normal, but i havent got the problems with active sky. This are my settings: Hope somebody can help me beacuse this is rellay annoying.

After numerous tweaks and fiddling around with settings I have come to the conclusion that UT2 is the ultimate cause of extremely low FPS performance at airports. I performed some tests and my findings were that with UT2 disabled I am able to get anywhere from 25-30fps consistently. But with it activatedm it shoots back down to 18-20fps, sometimes even 10-15fps. I can run FSX pretty close to max'ed out without UT2. So the question is whether I want AI traffic or not.

I'm flying my CLS A330 for long haul currently. The thrust/throttle whatever readings are all in decimals. The Airbus X Extended uses numbers like 56.9 etc. The CLS A330 has 0.804 or 1.096 etc. I don't understand why they are different.

Hi! I am new to the whole photoreal airport creation process and I had a question regrading SBuilderX. I am creating a version of Catalina Airport in Southern California, USA and I wanted to get some photoreal scenery. I opened SBuilderX and did what I needed to do and it works; I get all my photoreal scenery loaded in FSX. My problem is that the photoreal scenery is a square or a rectangle. I started over with my FSX.CFG and now I am getting this: I seem to recall getting some night environment that was around $12 US, but I cannot find the uninstall instructions or remember where I purchased it from. It also looks like my sky and sun are off too, I use REX Essenetial, would a reinstall of REX fix that? Does anyone know what files might need to be restored ( I am pretty sure I have a backup of them, but just don't know which one). Or can I just install FSX over the top to restore missing files? Is there anyway or order that when using opus weather that it will automatically put you on the correct runway at the start if you choose not to start from a gate? I used to use rex which always seemed to put you on the correct runway but opus seems not to. Also in an effort to get more accurate looking sky when using opus I downloaded and installed the HDE v2 sky and cloud textures , how do I change the sky colours and cirrus clouds in fsx so I can experiment trying to get one that to me looks about right thanks

Does anyone have any ideas how to adjust these awful flight dynamics... The plane looks very good inside & out, but man when you lift it off the ground it just tilts back really quickly, and I want to be able to control it more smoothly and realisticly.

I hate to ask this question but I am kinda stooped and ive been searching all over the net for a solution, I have my inspector setting set as seen in the link below, Only problem is I am unable to lock my frame rates, they keep jumping all over the place, I don't want to use the internal limiter as it causes my frame rates to drop, all other inspector setting seem to be working fine, I just reinstalled my NVidia drivers and was careful to delete everthing from the previous set, latest driver are 320.49, I'm using 1.9.7.1 inspector version, very frustrated as aim airborn over Norway right now and my frames are jumping as as high as 80 all the way down to 5 fps.
