Shalom and greetings all my pals, I have question for all of you, please. I have for Vistaliners 727-200 and POSKY 747-400 version 4 this exact same livery as seen on this link below. My question is where can I find that livery for Air Canada Airbus A320 using either IDFG or Project Airbus and Air Canada 747-200 using POSKY 747-200 version 4??? Any name of registration number or name of painter would be appreciated so that I can use search functions on avsim and flightsim. Thanks Here is the link showing the exact same paint example: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Canada/Boeing-727-233-Adv/1453511/L/ Thanks, Aharon

With the impending release of Orbx FTX Global, things are opening up in the world for destinations to fly to/from. Most of my flying is in Orbx PNW / CRM / NRM areas due to the scenery but also because there is a lot of great flight planning info available. For example, skyvector.com gives full sectionals and often approach info and airport diagrams for all of north america. But when it comes to flying in europe, I haven't come across such resources and was wondering what do people use out there for maps / sectionals and overall airport information for flight planning? Any leads would be appreciated! Thanks, Alex M.

This is my first time using this and coming from flying commercial jets with FMC and all, I'm trying to figure out how to create flight plans. Can you make a plan from scratch without having to pick a STAR/SID? Seems like I can't get by this.

I'm confused on when I should use the day or night. I've read that FTX Night = FSX Default setting? Usually I just select that and keep it on FTX Night, whether flying day or night. Does this affect only FTX Regions/Airports? For instance if I was to fly in Hong Kong, would having FTX Night mode enabled have any performance effect on my machine? I am using UTX USA and Europe for the Night Lights and want to know if i enable FTX Day mode, and fire up FSX, set the time to night time, will I still have UTX night lights working?

I downloaded and installed the OpusFSX demo yesterday. I then started the FSXSERVER component followed by FSX. For some reason the trike will accelerate and spin it's tires, but move forward. In other words, it just sits on the ground.. Same thing with my Carenado C172. That was the true whether I started OpusFSX or FSX first. Now, the ultimate solution may be to just buy it, so that I have longer than 10 minutes to play with it before it quits, but I would really rather understand why it is doing what it is before I go though the purchase and possibly return process. Thanks, Ernie

Dear fellow simmers, First of all, let me say I have tried to find a solution to this question, however, have not been able to find one, despite several days search on the web. I hope this is not in the wrong forum either:) Anyway, my problem is that im flying usually in VATSIM or IVAO network, and if the arrival airport is staffed, they will assign a gate for me, which is nice and im happy. However, when the airport is not staffed, I would like to use somewhat correct (realworld) gate assignment for my airline. Ill give you an example: Landed in Dubai 30L (flytampa Dubai rebooted - excellent btw) with my KLM virtual airline flight from EHAM. Looking at the gr…

I am not familiar with this product but it sounds like it might be useful. Has anyone out there that is using it can advise on whether they think it is useful or not say as compared to other tools like PlanG (freeware) and FS Commander (Payware)?

I have installed My Traffic. When flying in Alaska, I see no Alaska Airlines flights, and hear none on ATC. I DO see the occasional Aloha Airlines Cargo 737 though. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution? Thanks.

Well, by principle, this batch script is nothing new as batch scripts calling Imagetool to convert texture files have been around since FS9. This one, is a bit more than "just" a conversion script though. Features: - A script-based user-interface - Converts .bmp to DXT5 .dds files (with or without mip-maps)* - Supports backup and backup restore operations - Works with *.bmp files only, i.e. other files are not backed up to save disk space - Can convert large (e.g. all AI aircraft) and small (e.g. a single aircraft) folders - As Imagetool tends to skip converting some files in large folders, the script also checks for unconverted files - Supports blacklistin…

I figured I post and ask how to install bluesky scenery. This is my first time adding terrain scenery and it does not seem to be taking even when I follow the read me directions. Should it be in the fsx scenery folder or the addon scenery folder? When I attempt to add the scenery in fsx I get a message that the folder is empty, but when I look in the folder myself I see all the files in there.

Just curious to see how many are actually able to fly long haul in an online environment using add-on aircraft, scenery, and other external enhancements like weather engines, etc. **Edit** Feel free to leave your comments and which add-ons you use in the replies.

Is there actually a way to move the pilot seat back and not just the eyepoint Ive been using fsx forever and I do not remember ever having this issue I tried moving the eyepoint back but i end up being interfered with by the pilot seat What im looking to do is get more room between the pilots eyepoint and the glareshield. When I move back I end up behind the seat Looking for a better view of the instruments ( currently everything is too close ) so i have a small field fo vision I am using the standards commands to move the eyepoint back and forward but its dont doing what I want Thoughts? I've been fly aircraft in FSX/X-plane and in real life for a while now (only total 30 days in real life) but I have some questions on ENB/SweetFX/Shade. 1. Is ENB/SweetFX the same thing pretty much? Or do I use both of them at the same time? 2. What is the most realistic preset shade for Shade 1.02, realistic in the west coast or the central US. 3. If I could get some help on installing these 3 addons, that I've seen so many great pictures combined. 4. I usually run FSX with DX9 instead of DX10 but I'm open on suggestions on what I should change my settings around to, to get the best of FSX with Shade/ENB/SweetFX - - Oh I forgot if you could also provid…

Lockheed L-749 Constellation from Classic Propliners is very comprehensive but one thing I can't figure out. Readme states "Note that our Connie is a FS9-native model, hence subject to certain restrictions when flown in FSX. Specifically, the reversing lights on the glareshield panel may not work (right-click the reversing levers instead)." Well I can rightclick those reversing levers all day long and they don't engage the reverse. F2 does not work either. I don't see a special shortcut key in FSX to engage reverse either. Don't suppose any fine classic fan in here has this plane installed and can tell me if reversers are working for them? Great plane …

I'm currently playing around with the REX Essential Plus package. I like it, but have one question. The weather options in it seem to have all kinds of settings - except the ability to set a specific type of weather! Let's say I want a thunder storm. There is no such setting in REX - is this because I should do this in FSX itself? If so, will the textures, clouds etc. still be courtesy of REX?

Hy guys, I'm looking for a good 742/3, especially for cargo operation. On the market there are CLS and Justfligt. Does anyone tried out one of those products? The only one has lite and basic FMC is JustFlight, not upgradable airac and navdata. Any opinions and suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hi all, I've noticed when using regular FSX weather textures or REX, that if you're flying over a layer of low fog, its still transparent and you can still make out roads and runways, obviously making it unreal to RW flying in that type of environment. I was wondering if anyone knew of a fix that would make it so the fog would be just a white opaque layer, instead of transparent? Regards

Just for fun I used the nice IMDisk freeware Ram Drive software driver to create a 8Gb ram drive and assigned my swap file to it w/ a fixed size of 7gb. By paging to the ram drive I noticed maximum memory use went over 4030Mb, whereas when I left the page file on my C:/ drive SSD maximum memory committed would peak out at about 3780Mb. The thing I haven't yet tried is disabling the page file. Methinks WIndows would allocate even less to FSX in that instance, however I may not understand how it functions. Some have conjectured using a swap file in ram can help reduce writes to your SDD if used correctly, which might matter some for longevity, or not.
