Since I failed trying to find the answer myself, I hope someone in the forum can help me. I open/close the main passenger door with shift-E. I am unable to open service/cargo doors with shift+E 2 etc. On my computer this does not work; whatever the combination, it only opens and closes the passenger door. How/where can I change this? Thanks for your help.

I am planning to get Aerosott City Los Angeles. The only thing that stops me from getting my credit card out is lack of night texture. Does that mean at night time, Los Angeles is completely black or FSX would replace it with regular texture?

Hello Simmers, I had a question about the Q400 configuration in GSX. Having flown on a Q400 on numerous occasions, I have found that they often use rear airstairs to load the plane quicker, more often than not at smaller airports. Do you know if there is a way to configure the aircraft in the software to allow for the rear stairs to go that low? It would, in my opinion, improve the overall experience and add to the work already given to the aircraft in the FSDT software. Thank you for your support!

I know this was discussed here before but I cannot seem to be able to figure out how to make it work. Where exactly do I add the files? It says: They must be installed into the regional scenery folder that contains the default airport scenery AP file: Where is this in FSX? I'm sorry but new at adding scenery

I bought a week ago PFPX from PC Aviator and they gave me a used serial number, emailed them and haven't received a reply. What else should I try?

I have a few questions regarding the systems: It seems I can add fixes to the flightplan but not anywhere else like in a Boeing FMC. Also there is no way of drawing a radial circle or line from the fix like in a Boeing? When climbing or descending in a Boeing it displays a green arc on the ND. But Airbus does not? In a 777 I can select and hold heading but in an Airbus I cannot?

The last time (awhile ago) I screwed up new install and had to redo.As I remember I need to make a folder such as FSX on my e drive to install FS to,correct?FS does not make a folder?Thanks,Ron

I don't know what happened or which add-on may have caused my night lighting to change, but just about every light is now big and blurry, with a big, blurry halo effect. Lights on poles look way off now in both FTX or UTX night lighting situations. When parked on the ground, these lights are HUGE! I found and use the four runway scaler lines (Vasi, rwy lights, etc)in fsx.cfg and they helped a bit. What about the other lighting? I've searched and keep seeing halo replacements. Is this what I'm looking for? Will this solve the issue in all scenery scenarios? (FTX, UTX)Thanks,Todd

I would like to know opinions about Simcheck A300. Is it worth of interest and buying ? How deeply and accurate this plane is modelled ? Unfortunately their web page is quite skimpy, so cannot judge without owners help. Appreciate all opinions.

Looking for some opinions on what the best product is - I finally have a machine that's powerful enough where I can start thinking about adding some traffic to it.Is it basically between Ultimate Traffic 2 and My Traffic 2010? I fly primarily in the US so whatever I get needs to have good coverage there. I read that UT2 doesn't come with AFCADs the way that the original FS9 one did - is this an issue at all?Thanks, appreciate any info!

I can't find any reports on this so I'm wondering if I'm the only one with this problem. The effects of light bloom are visible only from the C172 and 206B virtual cockpit, and on any other aircraft's virtual cockpit I see no effect. Does anyone else get this, and is there a fix?

I was just wondering if fellow airliner jockeys like me, tend to always try to fly real world airline routes, or whether most of you just pick two airports, pick a random livery and fly fictional flights? I must admit I have always been a bit obsessed with flying real world routes, and with the real world equipment that would be used; Eg.... I used to fly the NGX in Easyjet colours and routes a lot, but once EasyJet returned all their Boeings and went all-Airbus, I never ever again flew the NGX in EasyJet colours! ........ If I buy any airliner, I always research real airliners using it, and real origin and destination airports. To try and counter this obsession…

I probably am a bit nuts but I wondered if there are more people who have the same 'problem' as I do. For a few weeks already I didn't touch FSX. Why? Because of the upcoming P3D 2.0. I have a weird habit that when I know something new is coming, I don't want to spoil the fun before it has been released. Like Norway. I have awesome freeware Norway scenery but when Orbx announced FTX Norway South I stopped flying there because 1. I really want to have FTX Norway South and 2. I was afraid I would get bored with Norway if I would go on flying there. So I started flying elsewhere. (I have to add I returned to Norway anyway after a week because I didn't like 'elsewhere…

Just starting doing some flights in the PMDG T7 and for some reason when you select your arrival runway it looks like you've locked on but clearly the ILS frequency isn't the one that is associated w/ that runway in FSX, so you are unable to lock on to the LOC or GS. It seems like installing the latest FMC data from Navigraph wouldn't affect this, or would it? Forgive my ignorance on this topic and any help is appreciated.

Hey all, I've having problems getting FSX AA to work. Basically, my card is a GTX 460 1gb and in the NVidia control panel I try setting it to 8xAA, or 16xAA enhance application settngs, and it's not doing anything. It's quite annoying as the games inbuilt AA is not very good. Does anybody know what causes this? Thanks

Since the duke v2 paintkit is being worked on I wondered if any of the talented painters around here would consider some of these. We had a Duke convention in Duluth a few months back and I was so fortunate to take a bunch of pictures with awesome lighting too! A few turbines showed up too like the beautiful red striped one! The owner of the black one even offered me a ride. So just putting these out there for now... For a long time now, when I open FSX I get a Windows message: The color scheme has changed. The following program has performed an action that requires Windows to temporarily change the color scheme to Windows Basic, My virtual cockpits in the planes I fly(PMDG & Majestic) the colors are faded. Sometimes I watch youtube videos with the 737ngx or mcdash8 and the cockpit colors look a lot better than mine. I recently reinstalled FSX and switched to DX10 with Steves Fixer.exe but the cockpits still look washed out. I have been having this cockpit faded look long before that. Any suggestions? Paul

Hopefully this clears things up. Basically what I need is the way to activate FSX so I don't have to keep playing on the 30 minute trial period. I have both FSX deluxe disc's as well as Acceleration but cannot activate either on account of FSX not being supported by Microsoft. I do not have the case and I know I used those installs up so even if I had them it would not make a difference. A recommendation on what to do would be helpful (I'm hoping its just as simple as buying it again).

I downloaded a freeware updated version of the 9g1 runway provided by this link: http://simviation.com/1/browse-Scenery-63-59 (at the bottom).. I placed the two files in the zip file in its own folder, subfolder scenery under addons.. and added to the scenery library.. I get the mangled attached image as a result.. cliffs on each side of the runway and trees in the runway. (the other image is how it probably should look.. showing the exclusion area, etc.. though i do have utx enabled) One of the files attached was titled ***CVX***.bgl.. from what i gathered this should be an exclusion file that would help with the issue but doesnt seem to. I really love OPUS FSX,a really great weather engine but one thing frustrates me in relation to the updating of the true weather at high altitude. When flying at cruising level say 39,000 the SPY gives me the various cloud layers and sometimes there could be a layer at say 33,000 but all I see is clear skies below until I click on 'Update Dynamic weather' whereby the true picture appears. I have my live weather updates based at every 10 minutes or 100 km's. However,I do not understand why I have to sometimes click on the Dynamic Update to get the weather back. Any feedback would be welcome. Michael

Hi all, sorry if this is in wrong place but its first post. I have a problem with AI in that it is only visible if I hit the view traffic tab in fsx. I can hear the various airlines over atc chatter and that list in view traffic is very long. I have read a myriad of posts over the last 2 weeks and none of them have helped. I purchased traffic 360 and all the traffic showed but it is a rubbish package and still not correct after I patched it. I don't want to use the models from that package as they are not error free and just wrong in some cases.
