I saw this addon just today, and it really looks something worth to try. I can download trial version to try, but need to set second monitor and feel quite lazy for it. If anyone have this, please give me some hints about it. I am wondering if it supports 3rd party aircraft addons...

FSX is totally dead for me right now. I was updating my config following fsx genius. Then I made the mistake of downloading the latest beta version of AMD video driver. FSX starting crashing constantly. FSXgenius had a video identifying this problem and said to uninstall amd. When I did this in the middle of the uninstall my computer crashed to a blue screen. For the next half hour I could not even but up my computer. None of the restores were working. Finally by checking for memory errors I was able to get the restore to work and it was restored back to amd 3.4 However, now when I launch fsx it shows the screen that it is loading and then after about a minute the fsx loa…

I've been learning to use SIDS/STARS/approaches because i've been flying FS since FS98 without them and want to take things to the next level with my paid aircraft. The FSX flightplanner is of course useless now especially since updating intersection fixes because now half the time it tells me it can't actually find a route anymore with high altitude airways. So I've been "limping by" using a combination of simroutes and routfinder for international stuff or flightwaware when possible with simroutes for creating my flightplans. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about PFPX though but I'm concerned it's overkill for someone who doesn't have "pro level" knowledge…

Do they just cover the airport and nothing else? I was looking at flytampa's stuff, and 40$ seems a bit much just for an airport, no matter how realistic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

So thinking about getting this but have a few questions. Can you use this as a stand alone chart viewer? Or do you have to have it integrated with fsx? If it had to be integrated, how does it affect fsx with respect to that 4GB memory limit? Really don't want anything else eating away over what I currently have eating away towards that 4gb OOM issue. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Hi all... Have been away from this sim for a number of years. Went to use, nope. Did a uninstall and then reinstall. It fires up fine, but UT2 doesn't appear AND at times what few planes are there disappear! Question...running this with OS7. When I installed it from the CD's, I let it do its thing except I switched the drive to my "G" (for gaming) drive. That's it. I noticed however that FSX dumped all the files not within an FSX folder. My path looks like this; G>Microsoft Games UT2 path looks like this also. NOT G>Microsoft Games>FSX. Is this the culprit or should it matter? All the files are dumped within the Microsoft Games folder. I w…

Whenever I fly transatlantic flights from Miami to London for example and I click High Altitude airways it takes me on a route which heads south for about 2,500 miles to a place between Africa and South America, then it turns sharply North to London which makes the route a lot longer than it should be turning a flight which is 8hrs 45min in real life into a 13hr sometimes into a 14hr flight which is inaccurate. Sometimes when I fly from KJFK to London it takes me to Alaska and then sharply turns to London instead of taking me directly across the Atlantic Ocean. It is also tedious and annoying to drag the line onto the intersections, waypoints, and VORs that would make it …

Good morning, (or evening), everyone. I'm presently at the half way point between Quebec City and my destination of The City Centre, Toronto, at 6,000 ft. Running under a dawn sky by OPUS, over FSXG, UTX, Shade, etc at a smooth sustained 30 FPS (locked 1/2 refresh rate via N.I.), I came to realize that I have nothing more, to ever complain or to criticize, the FSX rendered world, or the performance that FSX is now putting out on my system. Nothing. I can only anticipate what a G-snyc monitor will add to the performance/visual mix...and I shall be getting one ASAP. What I have rendered in my dawn flight, is what I had always imagined it could be like, f…

I know there's a few things out there (the one by aerosoft is an example) but can't remember for the life of me what they are called. I also hope for something that updates the out of date airports to what they currently look like. I don't spend long enough at any specific airport to bother buying single airports. In the great AutostarX program, what date do I set? Local time or GMT? If I am flying 10pm local time but zulu is the next day, do I set the date in AutostarX to the GMT date?

I'm looking for an addon plane for FSX which will have a large cargo capacity for Air Hauler, which would make a lot of money. I have downloaded a UPS 777LRF from Simviation and it has the largest cargo capacity I have encountered so far on Airhaluer (111,000 ILBS!) It has job offers ranging from $300,000 to $1,000,000. I have searched for numerous other aircraft which can carry more including various 747s, A380, and even the 747 dreamlifter. They all cost a ton more to buy and lease than the 777LRF but none of them, surprisingly, has a higher cargo capacity which means it must be inaccurate because I do not understand how a Dreamlifter has a lower cargo capacity than the…

I've made some progress with painting! Weeee! He was kind enough to help me out on teamspeak walk me through the PS, dxtbmp steps to get my issues sorted! Obviously I have a long walk ahead but I've got this stripe on the Legacy. (I wanted to start with the Duke but all the sheets scared me away lol!). So here it is (mesh enabled to help me line up)... maybe it will actually look good someday hahah!

hi, flying on the alps with real weather (REX) and I get horrible flickering where clouds meet terrain. I understand this is a limitation of FSX engine and the way Z-buffer is handled with polygons, but is there anyway to mitigate this? It's a really disturbing effect and indeed a shame, because graphically speaking I'd be in FSX nirvana otherwise! Flying DX10 with fixer, REX clouds are 1024 DXT5 optimized.

1. Must be a turbine. 2. Must have a navigraph updatable G1000. Must have WAAS. 3. Can be a twin or single. 4. Must have interior/exterior that is as good as Carenado. 5. Propeller blades cannot be disc thin when viewed from the side. 6. Must be for GA. I do not need a transport category. 7. Completely accurate FDE. Does this airplane exist? I have been looking for weeks at all the usual suspects and cannot find what I am looking for...

Hi guys, Sorry if this question sounds a bit odd but I am fairly new to FSX and I have hardly acquired 10 - 15 hrs on PMDG 737 - 800 Winglet. Yesterday on my approach to EGNT runway 25, ATC (FSX default) gave me clearance to land, I was 2nd to land after a small aircraft (possibly a Cessna). There was barely 10 - 15 nm distance between my 737 and the Cessna and I was already on VREF Speed with speed breaks up and flaps 30. On final approach I suddenly realised that my 737 was moving a lot faster than the Cessna and I was about crash into it. I immediately took control and lowered my altitude and somehow managed to avoid the collision and landed before the other aircra…

Hi Everyone I have been considering this plane for a while now but I hate how you can't access the forums for it without buying it to see the feedback from users that already have it. I did read some initial thoughts on it here and was aware of a few issues they had early in the piece. They sound like they have now been patched but without access to the forums how would you really know what the story is? The other thing I hate, is not seeing any after market paint jobs available for it in the library. Most of the ones that are available for the Mustang to be honest are pretty ordinary except for a couple of notable exceptions. I am also aware of a couple other ver…
