I already have the PMDG 737 and it by far seems to be, for me, the most bug ridden plane I've got. The frame rates don't so much take a hit (steady around low 20's on the ground of KSFO or Heathrow) as much as the textures "skeletonize" frequently. Sometimes when coming out of a flight, the rotating plane screen will be blank, sometimes in a flight the textures will just disappear and on one occasion, my computer froze. I'm not by any means trying to smear their work, in fact I've been tempted many times by their MD-11. My question is, how will it compare, system resources wise? Is there a good chance I'll likely have the same issues with that product as well? …

In the fsx.cfg file (sorry, I don't recall which section), there is a parameter : GTL_Button = {value} What is the purpose of this parameter? (Before I get flamed ... I posted this earlier this week, twice by accident. The first post with the question was removed, leaving the second one, which I had edited removing the question, replacing it with an apology thinking that the 1st post would remain and the 2nd deleted.)

Hi Everyone I have just put a fresh FSX install onto my PC but having difficulties assigning axis to my Saitek Toe Brakes. It seems that when they get pressed they are activating the axis for the elevator and ailerons. Can somebody offer some advice on what I can do to change this back to the right axis presses? Situation: Win8 Pro FSX installed on E:\FSX REX installed on E:\REX I have tried to install several add-on aircraft. This is usually done by copying the aircraft folder into E:\FSX\SimObjects\Aircraft. When this is done, the aircraft appears in FSX and flies and controls properly. However the paint schemes do not appear when in Fly Now mode. (The jpegs do show up in proper color.) The plane comes up all white (like a ghost). Several of these files were used previously without a problem on another PC running a default install in Program Files with Win7. So I assume it is either a Win8 problem or a problem with the install location. Can anyone suggest how to fix…

Hi guys, can someone please help me. I have just bought a new Asus computer for my flight sim. FSX Deluxe Version. Ive had FSX for just over 4 years and decided to use ad on scenery's. I also use track IR. OS Windows 8 Asus HD8350 Series 0 i5 AMD A8-5500 APU Radeon HD Graphics 3.20 GHz 64 bit Processor Graphics Memory 6884mb Video Memory 1024mb I bought REX and UTX USA and having issues with REX (Getting help) I also installed UTX and I don't notice any change at all. Came out today in a bit of a surprise.. but after 2 months I think it's about time! Can get it here: www.alabeo.com (22.95$) Bought it and did a quick test, it's not bad at all ! Sounds are great, awesome visuals with really nice liveries and fde feels nice too... waiting on the more experienced users to judge it actually. Just a quick shot from Aerosoft's Catalina demo... fps is super smooth with maxed sliders (waters on high-2x): Now I just need a mid-night black paint for it and I'm gold!

can someone point me in the direction of a copilot program for FSX that they use or have used. not a voice type one..cant do that.i really like the one with the Airbus extended so am looking for a similar one to use with the PMDG 737 and 777 any suggestions welcome thanks steve

Anyone out there beside me just had enough of this FSX. Tired of tweeking and trying this and that with multiple reinstalls. Is there any other computer game which demands so much from its user to have it work like it is suppose to? I think when Prepar3d offers its dx11 model for sale I will BURN my X Gold Edition! I don't know my planes very well. Is there any real significant difference between all these A320 and A321's? Cliff Notes version preferred.

The last days, I have a strange problem. During night flights, with active weather on line, when I'm going in the clouds, the night changes to a bright "pink" scenery. when I'm climbing above the clouds, the night textures returns normaly to dark. What is going on? Can anybody explain me ?

Hello, I have had to reinstall FSX and the aircraft preview window is black. I have done repair and also a complete reinstall after a format of the hard drive which Fsx is installed upon. Your help would be appreciated. Barry

This is more of a help me forum than anything, but if anyone has this product... how do you go about with all the problems it has?? Planes trying to land no where near an airport (just witnessed a 767 skimming the earth about 8 miles out of Denver intl), no gates at smaller airports (specifically Eppley airfield in Omaha, Nebraska, where I live), the stupid overlaying flight plans of the damned ATA, American, and whatever the **** Merican is, and finally the abundance of defunct airlines. If anyone know how to improve this product please help.

I recently purchased GSX and on my first flight utilizing it I was flying the PMDG 777F. I had no issues with getting the actual services themselves to work properly but I noticed that, while flying the Freighter version, “boarding passengers and baggage” was still the only selection (as opposed to “load cargo”). Therefore, after selecting this option, the cargo loaders appeared and were working correctly. However, the passenger bus appeared and all of the passenger boarding sounds were playing while passengers boarded. Certainly it isn’t correct that a passenger bus and passenger boarding sounds are supposed to appear/play when the aircraft selected is a Freighte…

Does it bother anyone when you fly to a particular airport only to find out it doesn't match up with the navdata and charts at all? A certain runway is missing, or ILS equipment is missing... etc. Just a few examples, Adu Dhabi Intl and KSEA both miss a runway. Kabul Intl misses an ILS frequency, and there are many more. Also on a lot of airports the ILS frequencies are misaligned. I rarely encounter this in the US and in Europe, but in Asia/Middle East/Africa there are loads of these airports where ILS frequencies are just useless because they are so much off. This left me wondering, why hasn't there been any add-on that updates the airports to their current states? Ne…

I had made this paint for the Turbine Duke and, like a fool, I thought I could port it over to the B60 which is the rightful owner of this scheme. Anyway, not an easy switch by any means. In fact it was a completely new job! The real one: On AVSIM library. Should you so wish. :smile:

Has anyone had blurry textures when landing? Im having this issue since some time now, and I dont have any plan from what or where does it come from. I have a i7-3770k and a GTX660 and my fsx is tweaked pretty much that it should load terrain from far away already. Google didnt helped me either. I also thought about buying FTX global, maybe that helps, but that would be my last option.

Hello everyone, I searched the web on that one but never found anything useful. My fog at night is unrealistically purple: This picture is supposed to be on 1 am at night. I use REX (textures only) and ASE (weather engine only). I once installed shade but deinstalled it again because it made everything too dark for my tastes. My guess is that I need to replace some textures that where changed by something. Any Ideas on that one? thanks in advance.....

Hi Everyone I have after much deliberation and soul searching decided to do a clean sweep of FSX and its related problems. I have had many aircraft sceneries and the like installed over the years and want to revert back and starting fresh. What I am after is some advice as to how to go about this properly including deleting stuff from the registry etc so I have no problems installing only the stuff I really use. Any advice gladly accepted. Thanks Barra
