Hi guys, I've been a member for a while already, but this is my very first thread on AVSIM. I hope this is the correct subforum for my thread I have a problem when, after a flight, I hit Escape and click 'End Flight', Windows come's up with a message saying 'FSX has stopped working' and its looking for a solution to the problem. Wich obviously, it is not going to find. I only have this problem with add-on aircraft, the default planes (I love the Maule Orion, best default FSX plane imo) are giving me no problem what so ever. I have Ezdok 1.17. All seemed pretty good, until today I must have touched some thing because every time I move the mouse, the view wanders all over the cockpit. Start of my first flight was going pretty well. Put it in apuse for 30 minutes while busy, then went back and ummmmmmm... What have I touched to cause the mouse to take over movements and the hat button to now be disabled? Geoff

here is a question for those more intelligent than I. as we all know when you make changes in fsx, it automatically changes the texture max load to 1024 and the terrain lod to to 4.5 (the default settings) which is a bind because each time you have to open fsx.cfg and re-edit for ones normal settings. in order to stop this happening is it possible to say open fsx.cfg in something like notepad and leave it open, as presumably fsx canot make any changes in a file that is already opened elsewhere. no doubt i am making an elementary mistale here but i would like to know your thoughts

first of all, Im sorry if this is the wrong forum, I don't really know where to put this in. I've been having a few problems. I don't know why but all of a sudden this has been happening to my aircraft II am guessing these are contrails but something has happened to them. Any help with this is appreciated. MK Studio's KSNA has the ILS for 19R actually pointing to 19L. Is there a way to correct this? I tried with ADE9X without success.

Every now and then, a problem comes along in FSX that needs to be solved. Most of the time I can do this on my own by aid from google. However, this time Im a bit stuck because I just cannot wrap my mind around WHY this happens.. FSX has now been running without a flaw for almost a year (after having had issue after issue after issue), and suddenly, on approach to Long Beach today on the Airbus X with Opus running the weather: I start getting vertical spears/needles flashing around me at various rates and fps crashing down to about 1 fps on the worst.. I am hoping that the Q400 and Thrustmaster's Wathog are a match made in heaven. Yes it's a stick for a yoke aircraft, but many are using the H.O.T.A.S. with their 737's quite happily. Is anyone using this combo?

So I installed Just Flight's new Traffic 360 on my Win7 machine running FSX w/Acceleration of course. I thought I had Traffic X installed may be, but I couldn't find anywhere I had downloaded it (turns out I installed it from a DVD last year). Anyway, I didn't see anywhere to uninstall it....such as in Add/Remove Progs, or any uninstaller at E:\fsx\JustFlight.....SO...I went ahead and purchased Traffic 360, downloaded it and installed it. (not the upgrade which woul dhave saved me $10 but the full program) Now when I start FSX, I get errors that I have to dismiss...eventually I can launch and run and the traffic looks great, but I get: SCENERY.CFG file errors "Th…

Up until recently I have always flown manual approaches and never utilised ILS. I now always fly an ILS approach, where possible, and then hand fly the last mile. However, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, although unsure what, or whether it's something to do with an individual airport's data or afcad. But for some reason, at Aerosoft's KOS and recently, Sunskjet freeware KPHL, the NGX hasn't lined up correctly with the relevent RWY. I checked the DME and ILS frequencies for both arrivals but they appeared to be correct. Can anyone offer some advice with this, thanks guys.

I don't know ... this may be a head scratcher ... Whenever I'm in a mission, or doing a free flight in FSX it effects the volume on my computer. If I am listening to a livestream broadcast the sound will get low. This also happens if I'm in the menu to go on a mission. If I put the simulator on pause, the sound will return to regular volume. When I unpause, it will decrease the sound again. I have accelerator installed. The specs for my FSX rig is listed as the main rig in my sig. Thanks for reading my post. :Batting Eyelashes:

Can you tell me how to open the Galley and rear passenger doors on the CLS A340-300 range? I can open the belly doors with the 2 option of door open and of course the main door, but nothing operates the other doors.

Okay, so firsty Hi. After some while not playing FSX I decided to back to virtual flying and well I found so many bugs there that I didn't even made any changes to my FSX for a month or 2 before. At first there was a huge problem with tweaks that I made like year ago or less but moments over, I got it fixed. Greetings, sorry if I'm not in the correct section (I'm new to this site). A little background, around 7-8 years ago my father got into the FS game series. I remember him using a saitek ST290 PRO before he quit playing due to work. I found his FSX disks in the closet the other day and decided to try it out on my laptop. Everything is great except the joystick which I believe is malfunctioning from being stored for a couple of years without any axis movement. I'm really a newbie and I'm by no means anything close to a pilot but I would like to learn how to master some aircraft models of the game. I need suggestions for which bgl files I can remove that will help the low framerates at EHAM. I use FTX Global so the surrounding city scenery I do not really need except some of the downtown buildings would be nice. Any help appreciated thank you.
