I have read the FAQ's, included documentation and several forum posts regarding my problem. I understand that the Opus Software folder (Lic file) must be installed in the C:/ drive, however, I run a dual boot system and my Windows 7 / FSX boots direct from drive D:/ from the boot manager. Drive C:/ is my work drive, and boots under its own Win 7 from the boot manager and contains no flightsim programs. Given that D:/ is the boot drive for FSX, should the Opus Software folder go there or on C:/ ? I have it on D:/ and am being told it is in Demo mode. I would like to get something for cabin callouts, etc. I did have Flight Deck Panel once, and i dont wanna install it again to EVERY aircraft.FSPassengers cost too much...but i see that XPAX is cheaper. Is XPAX just as good as FSPassengers? :(

Where did Majestic get the 18434kg/40639lbs DOM figure from? One source says the airplanes empty weight is 36,500 lbs, another ~37000, and at least one piece of literature from Bombardier itself says the empty weight is 39,300. A spread of almost 4000lbs in quoted figures seems pretty signifigant and makes me wonder what is most "typical". I'm aware that any number used above the 37572 lbs listed in the aircraft.cfg is added in as payload in the mythical compartment known as "Operating Empty", station 0. Has anyone come across any figures for real world airframes operated by real airlines to get some idea about what would be an appropriate number to use?

Good Morning all, I am experiencing a problem and i am hoping, maybe one of you can help me with this. I am quite a FSX-Newbie, but playing for a few months. I like to fly easily a few hours after work and therefore I prefer the Flite series from Just Flight. Few months ago i started with their Airbus Long Haul collection and it worked quite well. Recently I bought their A320 Jetliner and installed it. And there is my problem: the installation was quite normal, the planes are present in the free flight menu, but when I start a free flight the cockpit view is allover black. Hi guys i recently done a tutorial for the 737 NGX from KIAH to KLAX. When i arrived into KLAX my frames dropped to about 20, everywhere else is fine. just these built up major airports. dont know why this is happening as i have a new build and high end pc. specs are below let me know if you need anything else thanks alot. If so, I have a couple of questions. I've given up on FSGenesis for Mesh. So I'm looking to go the FSGLobal direction. 1) How does the high resolution mesh affect the load times? I have a large SSD. 2) If I purchased the N/S America mesh in "Ultimate," and I eventually added the FS Global 2010, do they work together? ... yielding the higher resolutions Stateside while offering the lower res. (on average) FS Global 2010 mesh for the rest of the world? 3) if you have owned both Ultimate and FS Global 21010 ... how do your compare the appearance in areas where Ultimate is installed. 4) Are all of the airports uncorrected for terrain elevation deviations…

I recently purchased the A320 Prologue product. It has issues, but I understand "you" are working to correct them. Fine. The problem is that "you" don't respond to support questions. In fact, the only semi-active customer forum you had has been removed. Why? There are people literally begging for help, or even just acknowledgement to their plight with the product-- but to no avail. How can your business be satisfied with this level of inattention to your customer base? I don't expect someone to man a phone line, but really you ought to be able to take ten-twenty minutes each day and quickly respond to everyone. That is just the right thing to do. I am sure even …

I have an issue with the default A321 cockpit. Whenever I download an Airbus addon which already has the default a321 cockpit installed, the 'roll bar' of the flight director never works. The 'pitch bar' always works fine but the roll bar is never active in any mode. Anybody know of any fixes for this?

Hello Simmers I have a kind of big problem in EHAM. I noticed that the activation of runways by ATC in EHAM were/are never correct. I always have to land visual on runways like 9, 24 or 36L. this is annoying. Tested the tool from aerosoft.. It simply changes the afcads from .off to .bgl. that is i think not the major problem, because it simply works not. I opened the default one of the afcads with afx. My first note was that the 3 parallel runways aren't exactely parallel anyway. So I put the true heading of the 36 L C and R to 3.28 degrees. Would be correctly parallel to FSX/FS9. Hey, Been looking for some new add-on scenery. My computer isn't super high end, but it's not bad... 8g ram i5 3.00GHz radeon HD 7790 .....etc I can run default scenery no problem pretty well maxed out and PNW from ORBX almost completely smooth. Any ways so I'm wondering if Aerosoft is a good add-on for me. (Will there be a huge fps drop and run really un smooth?) Or would FSDT be a better option for me? Or is that even worse? Do you guys have any other suggestions that won't make the sim insanely un smooth? Thanks, Kevin

I own the first version of FS Global 2010, and was thinking about grabbing the download version, and was wondering if there were any updates to the terrain or is it largely the same product, just made to fit better with FTX?

I am trying to challenge myself in this... I've already watched a few videos on doing this, but, when on the overhead panel, trying to turn on ground power, the button is just blank with no sign on it... Just plain blank... Here's the steps... I turned on battery, then, put standby pwr to auto... And then turned on all of the bus ties and the gen cont... I then tried to turn the knob under the sign saying sys fault to aux, but the sign didn't go away... I ignored it, but then, I eventually figured out I had to turn on ground power... There is no white mark appearing on the switch... It's totally unavailable... I do have parking brakes on, but found it not helpful.…

I have an i5 3570k and a GTX 660 with 8GB RAM and even with a fresh fsx.CFG, I'm still getting blurry textures, sometimes even airport buildings. My textures used to be crisp and clear until one point where I decided to refresh my windows 8 and install FSX again. Ever since then the textures have been blurry here and there :( . Is there a solution to this?

Hi All- New to the avsim forums, so If I'm posting in the wrong place or I did something stupid let me know! Anyways, all my flight simming is on XP10 on a MacBook Pro, which is fine. However I decided that I would like to purchase FSX as I have been paticularaly attracted to PMDG products, and the simulation experience on FSX seems to be quite a bit more immersive in FSX then in X-Plane. I need a PC that could run add ons such as the PMDG 777 and NGX, FSDT and Aerosoft Sceneries, ASN, with good frames. I have been having a LOT of fun with this. I just have a tiny question about Free Flight in the CRJ700 if that is ok? I am trying to do an ILS landing (Aberdeen from Birmingham) and for the life of me I cannot get the ILS to enter a glide path. I am entering the code into the Radio Stack which is 109.9. Good day. Anybody here has had any issues with azores scenery by tropicalsim? I have only lppd and lphr ones and both give me this problem with aircraft crashing (coliding) with 'nothing'. On lphr as i enter the taxiway after landing i get a plane crash. On lppd on roling for take off in the middle of the runaway the plane crashes into invisible something i dont know. I have to select ignore crashes and damage from realism setings if i want to use the scenery. Very strange. Very anoying after spending 20min on the ground planing the flight and setting the fms. Lol Something i could try, or im better off leaving ignore crashes 'on'?

Hello, Folks, This is often, but I´ve not seen a clear answer to it yet. See, my FSX is running at it´s best, almost no problem. I have tons of scenery installed on drive F. I wouldn´t support having to install everything from scratch. I´d like to change verything FSX to Drive D, another HD. It´s not only a question of changing letters, I could do on windows 7. I will have to move everything from F to D. I once made this, when I changed from a spin drive to SSD and all went well, but letters remained the same. I´d like to move FSX to another drive, without having to install everything again. I wouldn´t support having to install everything from scratch. …

Hello, I would like to know whether there are any 'high quality' developers working on making a full fledged 737 MAX or 787 Dream liner. I heard a Rumor that PMDG maybe making the 737 MAX, Is this true? Also, can you recommend any 737/787 addons?
