Don't know where else to put this, as thgere seems to be no "official" forum for FSDT. GSX has been running just dandy on my machine for quite awhile now, but recently, I got a message that there was an update available, so I clicked on the install button and off we went. During the process, I got two messages that some of the update had problems, and to "try again later." Huh? When the process closed, everything seemed to be working fine until I loaded my PMDG 737NGX at Gate F5 in KFLL. When I pressed CTRL-J to swing the jetway over, nothing happened. Okay. Owing to a recent hardware change, I am taking the opportunity to do a full reinstall of my FSX I have a couple of queries however: - I have around 40 payware airports to install. Is it safe to install these one after the other, or do I need to be restarting my computer and or starting FSX between each one? Obviously in my existing setup they've been accumulated over many years so they were installed 'as and when' before, I've never thought about whether or not it is OK to install them in one session. - I have the NGX and Aerosoft A320 for which I have many add on liveries for. Hi all, I've experienced a problem on my Q400 that I managed to get 4 items return from a google search - none of which is relevant; so I suspect that this would be a computer-specific problem. Basically, aircraft entered steady climb, but everything in the cockpit froze. If I look outside the windows, things are moving. Switch to external view, the plane is still flying, everything seemed normal. But inside the cockpit, all instruments are not updating, buttons are not working, even the FMS's MSG (top right) is flash, now stops flashing. I'm not sure where to even begin troubleshooting... I'm running FSX with locked frames of 30 and everything is very smooth and fluid... with the exception of one scenario which is turning whilst taxiing. No matter what aircraft, airport, scenery, settings I always experience stutters whilst performing a turn on the ground at taxi speed. The stutters are very apparent and continue regularly during the turn until I straighten the aircraft. So I was wondering if this is 'normal' FSX behaviour or whether it is an issue specific to my setup? If anyone has the time to place their aircraft of choice on anyway runway and perform a 360 turn and confirm that would be greatly appreciated. I have spent many hours looking into this…

Though I am not usually a fan of game boosters, reg cleaners etc. I discovered a nifty utility called Jet Boost. The utility is free and does a great job of closing down unwanted services. I believe this utility goes much further than the other available so called game boosters on the Internet, some of which try to install other c**p wear on your p c while your not looking!. This is a customizable utility and it closes down 35 services releasing a decent chunk of my computers memory, you can edit the .ini file, (I have done this) to close as many services as you wish. So, im no stranger to any of the majestic birds. Ive flown them for years. Today, however, I ran into a problem that I just cannot figure out the why´s of, and something ive never experienced. I flew one leg, landed and got ready for another flight. As I lined up for the runway, I was heavy, it was short. I had selected flaps 10, bleeds off, (two settings I dont use that often, as I fly seldom fly into airports with short rwys) MTOP was selected and I applied to-pwr while holding my brakes, let go as pwr was set and started the roll. I am a bit confused relative to the updates for Airacs. It seems that different data is downloaded for different users (i.e. FSC, ISG, PMDG,LEVED, PSS). I would have thought that it would be the same. The following is an example: Airac 1404 (April, 2014, the latest) I checked the data for each of the following, and both display this updated Airac. number. FSC (FlightSimCommander) has CADIT8 (SID from KATL). Waypoints within the SID are RONI, BEDRK, REBEKA, CADIT, and RESPE. which exactly match Delta Flight 2270 today, April 24, 2014 ISG (Intergrated Simavoinics Group) has the older CADIT5 SID which only has two integral waypoints, CADIT, and RESPE. Hi Guys I've always been a Europe only simmer mainly, but with the advent of products such as FTX Global I've decided to expand my operation! As such I'm looking to get a handful of good quality payware airports in the USA which will allow me to do plenty of short haul (up to 4 hour) flights in the A320 and 737 So, over to you guys! What do you recommend? I've never done a single flight in the US so I'm not up on who makes the best payware etc! Hello. Just wondering if some of you guy more into turbo props like me, have both the addons mentioned on the title. I currently have the jetstream by pmdg and its a very enjoyable plane to fly, though its kinda hard on framerates on my system. Its still good to fly but i was thinking on getting the majestic dash, and i would like to know how it compares performance wise. To someome runing both on their system, wich one could deliver best framerate? I,m ok with pmdg but wouldnt want to go slower on fps than that, so i would like to get some comparisson before spending the buck. Many thanks.

Dear Forum, My curiosity has been tapped with regards to the question of texture compression. If I convert all the textures in fsx to dx5 for example, does this have the potential of allowing hardware less confusion when rendering textures?

I recently installed it and followed one of the guides I found to set it up but my question is what does it actually do and how is it improving FSX? I am not using the FPS limiter with it but I have noticed a considerable drop in FPS but at the same time I am getting much smoother performance. So for example in a situation where my sim before using it was getting 60+ FPS it's now only getting say 30 FPS but that fluctuates from between say 28-31 FPS however like I said it is much smoother. Also it seems to kinda dull the colors of stuff. Like the game just doesn't look as sharp after installing it. Is that also normal?

Hello everyone! I have a CH 6 lever control for the Throttle-RPM-MIxture and it is worn out. there are no more detents which is making it very difficult flying a plane with reversers. I do have the Throttle-RPM-MIxture control that came with my Saitek Pro Yoke, but it is only a 3 lever. Is there a way to set this up for twin engine Throttle-RPM-MIxture? I remember someone doing it way back but my concern was that the mixture may not work well when starting the engines as the process may kill an engine already running when starting another. Hi guys! I've got a problem with possibly any existing enb. I have fsx on my laptop with 2 graphic cards - Nvidia 310m which plays fsx pretty good... and some kind of intel crap.So when an enb is installed, fsx does not show the better card, and can only open fsx by the worse one. When i uninstall enb the better card is available again. Any clue on this one?

Simmers, A recent issue has started to occur within my flight simulator, and in a way it's in continuation of a previous issue. A few months ago I started getting some quite serious FPS fluctuations (although my FPS are always low, it was a good 60-70% of FPS lost every thirty or so seconds, before returning to normal). I started noticing it around when I installed EZDok and TrackIR. Anyway, it was having some quite adverse effects on not only my FSX in general, but add-ons. Hi guys! I have recently started to play FSX once again, after a 1-year break. I am using PMDG 737 NGX, 747, Aerosoft Airbus X extended, Qualitywings Avro RJ, Majestic Software DashQ800, Aivlasoft EFB, REX 4 Texture Direct, FSUIPC 4.853 (unregistered, I had a registered version aswell but didn't solve the problem), FTX Global, Flightsim commander 9.4 and several Aerosoft/Flytampa airport sceneries. Before I purchased Opus, I update FMC data for specific planes( PMDG, QW757) and continue to do so currently. My question is if I exclusively use the Opus update for Navigraph can I stop updating for the specific planes going from 2 separate Navigraph updates to 1?

This is the first build so call it a beta. I have set up and work from a Cold and Dark state, but if you use the normal start up state just skip the first few lines. This is not a by the hand walk though, you will need to know how to set the FMS up and know what your doing. Because this version of the q400 has no failures I have cut out all the tests as you know everything is fine. Any mistakes and they will be some, just reply and I will sort them out. All Over the last few weeks I've been working on a nifty little Excel document that will generate a random flight for you, based on a database that I have put together of over 5,000 real world flights. Hello all Not sure if this is FS or aircraft specific, but upon touch down and reaching say 60kts, does a real 737 veer to the left and require correction by use of the rudder? I have this each landing. All my controls are extremely well calibrated and their status is displayed on the EICAS screen.
