Hello everyone.I have been using REX Essential and Active Sky but both weather add-ons made my game so foggy.It looks like blurry while Im playing the game.Got any idea how to solve this problem ? Hello ALL, I have a modern NVidia card and Win7, not using nHancer or NVInspector whatsoever, just the plain control panel (which doesn't seem to be acting, anyway). I run FSX in DX10 mode with great results, together with SweetFX, it runs perfectly flawless, except for the fact that the screenshots seem not to be completely anti-aliased, I mean, the shadows usually are all jagged. I confirm it happens only within the screenshots, not the actual live simulation. Maybe related to SweetFX?! DX10?! Lack of NVInspector?! Anyone else noticed this? Thanks!

I just downloaded slim driver to detect what drivers need updated and a big list just came up will i download the whole lot? My pc build is only 3 months old i will post specs. just an amateur like me hasn't got a clue lol just wondering is it vital... Just to let everyone know that version 5 of Long Beach Airport scenery is uploaded to AVSIM and should be available on Sunday. This version is a stand alone version with further optimization and now selectable options including a version for P3DV2. This version also fixes the ground texture flashing which unfortunately crept into version 4. This is a brand new install so version 4 has to be deleted. Enjoy! Shez

Hello All I am a new member to this forum and have not posted here before and wondered if anyone is abe to help me? I have FSX acceleration and all of the horizon photo scenery for the UK. Recently for no apparent reason I spotted a couple of tiles that should be water ( and have been for the last 4 years) are now generic scenery tiles. I recently installed Revolution X onto my machine but after a conversation with them they do not think it anything their software would have altered. If I were to post a few pictures of the said tiles and shots of the scenery from above as well as flying over it, is anyone able to identify the tiles that are causing the problem…

How can I determine if my FSX has Service Pack 2 ??

I ordered and installed fsdt (having paid for the product). When I set my plane at a starting gate I get a message the jfk trial period begins.All buildings are present. At about 5 mins later, i get a message that the trial period has ended, and all buildings disappear, with exception of jet ways. any advice? rob

Hi All, In spite of a beast-like computer, I still see fine sawtooth edges on the wings of my Majestic Q400. Pl advise me on what I need to tweak to get rid of them. I have selected anisotropic sampling and anti-aliasing in FSX. My comp specs are i4770k o/c 4.5 GHz, Zortac GTX 780 (3 GB), 8 GB RAM at 1600 Hz, 120 GB SSD, 500 GB HDD. My addons are MyTraffic2013, FS2crew, FTX Global and occasion various hi-res airports like YBBN and EGHI. I look forwad keenly to your suggestions. Thanks a ton in advance for them! I am beginning the epic task of reinstalling FSX with my addons. Before I start, I wanted to make sure what I intend to install is still relevant. My main concern is with Ultimate Terrain X and Ground Env. X I own both but am considering grabbing FTX global. Is either one of the two (GEX, UTX) redundant if I were to go that route? Also, I own REX and OPUS. I also own FEX (long outdated) but have found that many prefer to run OPUS with FEX textures versus REX textures. Any thoughts? Thank you for any guidance you can offer. Hello everyone.I have one question about fsx weather.While Im going perfectly in sky its like a strong wind hits to the plane and suddenly my speed increases 40 knot and i get overspeed warning from cockpit..I dont know why is this happening you guys got any idea i would be really appreciate :) Thanks a lot!

Hi ... having uninstalled P3D and installed FSX when I try to open the existing installation of Opus I'm told the installation folder can't be accessed ... can you please point me in the right direction ... Alan

Hi all I have noticed when landing into airports at night with global vector that my flight sim lags a lot and FPS drops to 20. In the day I get a constant 30 FPS. Is there a fix for this ? I know this has been asked before, but it seems that most threads are from a couple of years back before the two popular and well-loved companies -- REX and Active Sky -- came out with their newer weather releases. The consensus back then seemed to be that REX had prettier textures, but Active Sky had a better weather engine (possibly in part because of it's ability to load historical weather? not quite sure thought). Since 2012 however, REX has come out with "Essential Plus with Overdrive" and AS released "Active Sky Next." So how do they stack up now? I have FsDream Team's KDFW Dallas/Ft Worth airport add on installed in my FSX scenery library. I don't use the add on airport because it is rough on my frame rates so I disabled it over a year ago. I also have FS Dreamteam's GSX ground services. Today, GSX ground services was missing so I reinstalled it. But when I go to the the Dallas Ft Worth airport, the add on airport was enabled, even though I did not select it to be enabled. I went into the FSX Scenery library and the FSDreamTeam airport is not even selected! I selected it to enable it, then disabled it (and save the change) to see if this would make it disappear, but the add on is still there when I pull up…

Gentlemen, I could need your advice. When I start FSX for the first time of the day, or when I added scenery, the first start of the program takes extremely long (up to 10 minutes). There are long periods when all my cores idle, FSX seems to hang, but it really doesn't - it just takes unbelievable amounts of time. Once the start screen is reached, it's fast again.I have seen that it takes very long to rebuild the scenery indexes (filelistIndex.dat in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\SceneryIndexes). I've posted recently of my startup issue with fsx. Which seems to have been solved by deleting the logbook. The last time I attempted to fly with fsx everything ran smoothly until the white box load screen, it did its typical no boarder loading, and I tried maximizing it which seemed to work once the flight was loaded, but whenever I unpaused the flight it froze and made a horrible sound, and my second monitor turned black, I couldn't think of any way of getting out of it without turning off my PC and turning it back on again. What would cause this? I've never had this happen in the history of using fsx. I've never even read about it.

Hi All, Not anything specific relating to PMDG but the PMDG guys appear to know their XML files and I have followed their advice about using Notepad++ to ensure it is saved in the correct format. Problem is that whatever I install into the DLL.XML file, only the item on the top of the list and FSUIPC (always at the bottom), appears in the Addons menu in FSX (Win 7). So, I only have 2 modules loaded into the Addons menu. Wierd Huh ? Quick question, y'all. What would make FSX open minimized to the task bar? Situation: running MadDog Load Manager, choose a flight and the tutorial, and launch FSX from the MadDog manager. Splash screen comes up, scenery load bar comes up, EZCA opens (to the task bar), and then.... Blank screen, windowed mode - task bar with FSX and EZCA icons at bottom. I can open FSX by right clicking on the FSX icon and selecting "Maximize." But FSX does not open to a window with my A/C, in the cockpit, at my location. Any time I open FSX normally, everything works, but it seems that launching it from the MadDog manager minimizes the set-up automatically. What kind of setting…
