Hi everyone,So I'm trying to do a reinstall of Flight Simulator X right? Well, I get to the end of the install and it seems to finish fine until two consecutive errors appear on screen: I get errors 1722 and -1603, the latter asking me to contact MSDN (MS Dev. Network)... I've been checking the internet all over for solutions and have even tried a MS remedy for the 1722 error, but no luck. I've been looking for 5 months now for a solution, but nothing seems to work. Hi Guys: Question on mesh I have north america mesh named names are as follows (NADEM-X_US_ERK - NADEM-X_US_NE - NADEM-X_US_PLN - NADEM-X_US_SE - NADEM-X_US_WC - NADEM-X_US_WRK) I am assuming its 19m mesh but not sure as Our old accounts are not updated on new site - do these look familiar not sure if there is something better also I noticed they have 10m mesh how much of a difference would I see if in fact my mesh is 19m - thanks http://www.fsgenesis.com/fsx-united-states-terrain-mesh

Anyone out there know how to solve this problem of installation error 1722 and 1603 on a W.7 64 bit machine. At the end of the installation process these errors show up, error 1722 and 1603. When I click "ok" the installer rolls back the installation. I have tried installing all the way on the root of C: drive creating my own folder "Flight Simulator X" instead of in program files or program files x86 and still get the same results. Am considering getting an external drive and trying to install it on that. Any fresh ideas?

It appears that the Microsoft FSX weather server has not been updating for some weeks. Has there been any official words from Microsoft that this service has been discontinued, or will be restored some time soon. Note: Microsoft is still SELLING FSX -- see http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/list/categoryID.59855700 so they "should" still be supporting it's features. The FA thread has gotten too long to be manageable. so I am asking my question separately. Does it make a difference if you use enbseries DX9 or DX10 preview with FA?

So I can say for a fact that a lot of have tried to run FSX on a laptop at some point and gave up with the idea due to the underwhelming performance you got from it. No matter how powerful the laptop may be for current games, FSX still somehow owned your machine, leading to a rage uninstall. Hello everyone, In the launch video for the patch to version 1.006 ( ) you can see that the Q400 is working with GSX. Howerever I have not got this working yet. After the pushback the plane jumps back to it's old position (both with AES and GSX). I tried several setups: regular and alternative aircraft.cfg and with and without nose wheel steering. I still get the same result. Does anybody have any tips on how I can get these to work? Cause otherwise I do not see the added benefit of the patch. I don't use the wingview and the added bouncing problem is really starting to annoy me. Thanks in advance.

I've been using FSPAX for a long time and liked it, but now that I also purchased FS2CREW I have nothing but troubles with the FSPAX mini display when flying in my PMDG737 or 777. Apparently there is no fix as the developer is no longer fixing FSPAX, but there is a hack for your panels.cfg that will fix it (with some downsides). I would rather not hack the panels in order to get an addon to work, so I am looking for something similar to FSPAX. Is there such an addon, and does it work with PMDG? Thanks

Hi Just wondering if anyone has any must do changes to FSDT airports for improved performance, Reason being is I normally fly around Europe with around 40 airports from UK2000, Aerosoft, FSDT and Fly Tampa which I generally get really good smooth performance with. So the other day I got an email from FSDT saying buy there new George Bush airport and get others 50% so I thought lets have some USA flying so decided to install there trials of some of the USA airports, which when I did my normal test of sitting on active runway in PMDG NGX with UT2 traffic loaded I was getting 30 FPS so I thought right lets buy them. Hi community, Not quite the same as the post below......but one thing that I have found rather annoying, is that when I start FSX at any airport, and my aircraft is idle, I hear a sound that sounds very much like a truck at idle near my aircraft. It's quite loud, and very annoying. I've tried many changes in the sim sound configuration, but it is always there. I'm only using stereo sound, but I think that's what FSX was designed for? Has anybody else heard this? And more importantly, can I get rid of it? Many thanks in advance, Andrew.

Hi all, I have recently re installed windows and all of my fsx but I have recently come across this problem with my installation of fsx and I cannot figure out how to fix it as I have never had this problem before. Hello friends, I´m newbie in this Forum. Greetings from LEAM, Spain. I´m trying to use SweetFX in FSX (FSX is configured with DX10 and using Steve's DX10 addon). Basically I download SweetFX, copy the files to FSX root directory. Then I download FlightFX and a preset for FSX. After installing FlightFX and copying preset to its folder, when I run FSX I don´t see any difference. In FlightFX I activated SPLITSCREEN, but when I press the KEY (BLOQ SCROLL) nothings happen. What is wrong? Maybe I´m missing an step but I don't know which. Thanks.

Need some help.Bought Alabeos C195 , installs fine. When selected aircraft it shutdown and very little of aircraft displayed mostly transparent. Have 2 other Alabeo aircraft and work fine. Have downloaded many times and installed . No luck! Anyone got any ideas. Thanks

I posted this problem yesterday on the Majestic Forum but no response. Need help with this please. The Dash 8 was functioning normally and then this: First the APU Power button stopped working so the APU Generator cannot be used. Next: The Port engine will not start. It begins to wind up and I advance the fuel shutoff to Idle at 19% but the engine will not go beyond that point. The Starboard Engine starts normally when I follow the exact same procedure. Engine start order does not matter. Port engine will not start if I try it first or second. Can someone give me a fix for this? I am totally clueless. Regards to all, Neal Howard

I bought the Garmin G1000 from Mindstar thinking it would give me a better idea what a real G1000 would be like in flight. Boy was I wrong! First unlike the Carendo's version of the G1000 (which changes per airplane) Terrain Does not work. Worst of all if you plan an IFR plan in the default FSX flight planer a)it will not display in the G1000 and if you do the reverse b)plan the flight with the G1000 in the FSX flight planer it only shows as if it's Waypoint to Waypoint annnd if you attempt to get IFR clearance from ATC after using the G1000 to plan a route FSX crashes! Recently I tumbled over a wired problem of a mate's FSXA installation. The sim itself runs nice and smooth but you are not able to use the mouse wheel in order to turn knobs, the elevator trim etc. as it should be possible (and how it works in my own installation). There is no difference between standard aircraft or high sophisticated ones like PMDG's NGX. Surprisingly in Mouse View mode you can zoom in and out within the sim and there is no problem outside FSX using the wheel, too. However I looked into all settings and configuration data and did not find any setting that could restrict the mouse behaviour (it's a Logitech standard mouse, no fancy stuff at all). I wo…

So I have been flying the Airbus X extended for a while now but I have one problem. Every time I do a departure I get a reduced N1 throttle setting of about 88.7% I believe. I am wondering what do I have to do in order to get a max power takeoff ( I want to do departures out of KJAC and such...)

I've tried nVidia inspector settings set to vsync standard and adaptive at half refresh, and I have the two force vsync lines in my fsx.cfg, I've tried limiting the FPS to 30 in both the inspector and or in FSX, nothing will stop the screen tearing. I notice that most of the time the FPS is 29. something not 30 which is probably the cause of this, but that is odd when if I unlock the fps it is well above that. Anyone know what's going on and how to fix this?
