Hi guys, Reading in couple of pages and around the web is pretty hot to see a lot of topics discussing about the great FSX and tweaks to make it look awesome and smooth, but nobody point wich of the couple of windows versions should be the best for FSX, can you guys give me your honest review about it? im looking to get into the correct OS and i really will appreciate it Regards!

I have just downloaded the iFly 747 and apart from adding Doug Dawson's EVENT LOGGER gauge, the aircraft is as downloaded. However the event logger gives me the following events that just keep firing repeatedly. This is a poll on performance of the new FSX Fiber accelerator. Specifically I interested, how many seeing performance gains, started out with Frames locked in FSX or set to unlimited. FSX always had a problem with with it's frame lock function. If your performance was close to or lower then your locked value, you would lose about 5 to 6 fps vs set to unlimited. Since the fiber accelerator takes control of the frame lock control dynamically, much orf the time the frames revert to unlimited, which would negate this performance loss. I'm wondering is this the performance gain people are seeing with this utility?

Ever wished that Skyvector www.skyvector.com (with all it's plates, charts and weather) would talk to P3D and FSX? Ya I always thought that would be cool. One option I looked at was Foreflight for ipad. Hi I am trying to use this tool but I get the trim full up or full down. As describe on the manual I should choose a button and press it when I set my desired pitch, then I can leave my yoke on neutral position. Well I can't use it, I always end up pitching all the way to the maximum extend. Any hint? Thank you

Hi all, I'm about 75% complete on a new "epic" FSX installation on a new machine, which I haven't done in a long time. Gosh, what a pain in the butt; I'm glad I only have to do this once every couple of years! There is a new problem that I don't recall ever seeing before, although I've read that some versions of P3D suffered from it. When I start the flight, with the Cessna 172, it starts out with full throttle, and stays there for a second, even if I specifically jiggle my throttle into the idle position at the moment of initialization. I've been looking for some military cargo planes and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. So far I've found Captain Sim C-130, Area 51 C-5, Area 51 C-17, Virtavia C-17. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they any good in flight model? Also how "deep" are their systems? And when it comes to the C-17 which is best between the companies? Folks, I'm thinking about purchasing EZdoc for use with both the PMDG NGX and the Aerosoft Airbus X. Do I need a camera or Track IR to effectively use the software, or is my mouse sufficient? Any advice is appreciated! Cheers, -B

So, After having OCed my 2 core system to 4.5 Ghz, I can now enjoy FSX when it comes to GA. What I really miss is a really good Beech 99 or Piper Navajo PA31-310. Anyone happens to have some info if any of those are under development? I know about the Premier B99, but .... :unsure: The picture shows the PA31-310 which my dad flew by himself from the Piper factory over to Sweden in 1974. The first one during a stop at Gander and the second with the operating colors.

It may surprise many of you, but I managed to fly with a single stone-old (10+ years) Sidewinder joystick until now ^_^ Anyway, I got myself the Majestic Q400 and while the small side throttle on my joystick was enough for the little bit of manual jet engine throttling I did it is simply not enough for the Dash. And whenever I try to move them with my mouse I regularly go from off to max and back again unable to hit a spot in between. So, I have to get a throttle. Since it seems I also have to replace my AMD with a NVIDIA please do not suggest me the most expensive and exclusive thing out there. Hello All, I am trying to get FSX to run in 3D mode via Nvidia 3D tv play. Most games run ok in 3D but cannot get FSX to behave. Figured out how it needs to work it will only work on 720P 60 hz however there is no option to go 6ohz in FSX it runs at 120hz only it seems, it only allows to set the resolution so need to find out how to force it to use desktop resolution and refresh rate. Looked through Nvidia control panel tried all Vsync options but as soon as I start the flight it will switch to 120Hz disabling 3D. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

X-Plane is smooth, while FSX barely runs, and is so slow and choppy when I'm able to start it up. Hello all, I just installed Ezdok and it works fine on the ground, however in flight it does this: Any ideas? Another strange thing to note is that when i put full aileron deflection on in any aircraft, the aircraft stutters from the cockpit view. Thanks, Callum

Hello, Can anybody inform newbies like me for the data updates of FSX and its addons? For example , I am using FSX, PMDG, PFPX and Flightsim commander, is latest airac navdata cycle enough for an up to date system? Also I am using FS Global Ultimate, UTX, and FTX Global Base & Vector, should I have to update these product with any online data updates other than their own patches? I am really in confusion about leaving something with old data. thanks in advance.

Hello All, There has been a little discussion on this question before but it didnt seem to get resolved so I will raise it here. I have just installed the French Polynesia Tuamotu scenery by Kazuo Kawamura together with his subsequent SP2 issues fix. The instructions were very good and I think I have installed everything OK. However I have 'black boxes' behind palm trees ! It could be an FS9 vs FSX issue but I understand the scenery was written/updated for FSX. I was hoping the Kawamura SP2 patch would fix it but it doesnt. Can anyone advise please ? Thanks.

Hello! Ever since I have started using FSInn to connect to VATSIM, I seem to be having a bit of an issue. Other than FSInn already being unstable, it seems that whenever I shutdown/close FSX, I get a message saying "Microsoft Flight Simulator X has stopped working." This make very little sense because I only shut off FSX. So, I am pretty certain that the issue is FSInn. Being that I start FSInn internally, I think Windows 7 thinks that FSX is causing the problem, and not FSInn. When I wasn't using FSInn... this never happened. In simple terms, I am getting an error message *AFTER CLOSING FSX* telling me that the sim has stopped working. You and I both know that makes …

Has anyone else tried to install this update?I cant get it to install,even though ive contacted them 3 times and gone thru all the procedures.I always get update 1.2 installed,but cant get the freighter update to install,and it says i dont have the plane installed,even though i have been flying it for a month.Advice?

I recently had to do a wipe of my settings with windows 8, and I happen to have two versions of FSX, so I'm going through the second one, but while it's installing I thought I'd ask, what causes error 1722 with FSX? This is the first time I've ever had a problem installing it.

Hi all - Been having an issue with my AI traffic not being viewable until I'm pretty much on top of it.
