Hello I'm examining the possibility of a new mass-market flight simulator which will appeal to both hardcore and casual simmers. I've already posted several threads on Flightsim.com and Avsim is next on my list. Right now I'm working on market research. A lot of people think that something too good to be true is exactly that. The whole 'you can't start a flight sim, it's too expensive' and 'nobody wants a new flight sim' and 'the market isn't big enough' arguments have droned on for long enough. After working perefectly for a couple of years, the Golden Gate Bridge has disappeared. Road traffic continues to run (in the air or so it seems.) Then I tried the default scenery RIO. Everything is nice, but the cannot-be-missed-if-it's-there statue of Christ the Redeemer just is not there. Then I noticed that, even though quite a bit of scenery was added, if I try Free Flight and select Add-on Scenery, there's nothing in the list. I need to fly on default scenery (even though I spent quite a bit of $$$ on scenery add-ons.

Hi guys Who can help me out with this problem? In a whim I've destroyed DVD one from the FSX deluxe edition, so I have the product key and still DVD two but not longer able to repair or reinstall this flightsimulator. does someone know a way to get a copy a find a download site or what ells may be available for helping me out? I was trying to do a flight from LTBA to LTFG. While planning the fligh I always use FSCommander for PMDG 737. LTFG has ILS landing in runway 08 but after going through the final VOR, there is no STAR that I can choose. I tried to manually set heading according to ATC then LOC worked and plane aligned with the runway but APP doesn't work and it keeps the plane in a hold altitude and doesn't descent. Either there is a problem with the ILS of the airport as its freeware or I am doing something wrong. I would like to know if its related with me. Thanks.

Hello everyone, As we all know, default ATC definitely isn't very bright. However, I'm not sure if I want to make the leap to a realistic ATC such as VOX atc and such. So, what I needed help in is, how to request "properly", a different runway for landing. Example below: I was flying from KDFW to KMIA. I was told to decent and expect vectors for RWY 30 approach. I wanted to land on either 8L, 8R, or 9 which was the direction I was heading instead of having to go around the airport. I didn't confirm approach, I selected to stand by and allow me to land on runway 9. What I am unclear of is it tells me to do an ILS approach runway 9, to then circle and land ru…

I noticed my N1 and N2 fan speeds are OFF THE CHARTS and the model is too overpowered. I tried to adjust it via FSUIPC calibration with my controller levers to no avail. Where can I go to adjust the parameters. I fly the jet RW so I simply would like the engines to behave a little more realistically. Thanks.

I am working towards flying the CaptainSim C130 line of aircraft with a better understanding of it's system's. In a few tutorials it makes reference to setting the aircraft's pressurization. This question is not about how to do it in this aircraft, but rather the logic behind determining the values to set. Hope this make some sense >> Tonight's FSX flight SPIM-SAEZ presented a unique issue. All cockpit calculations, fuel flow frame rate, etc were normal; however the aircraft moved at about 1/2 normal speed. Therefore fuel useage was very excessive. I checked the sim acceleration and it was set to "Normal". Perhaps this was just a one time "glitch", but I'd be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this. Ken

Hi all. I have this problem that i can't find out how to install GSX from FSDT properly.. So i thought that you folks could help me a bit. I've tried to run the gsx_fsx_setup.exe and that installed fine, but when i open fsx and load a flight i can't find the addon manager under add-ons? I am wondering if anyone has this problem with Imaginesim KCVG. The support was unable to assist me, they could not reproduce it. When I use the KCVG without the patch, none of the buildings have night textures. When I apply the patch from their website, many of the buildings disappear. Like the DHL cargo building both day and night. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi all, I've been trying for at least 12 months now to rid fsx of this big stutter that happens every 30sec's, without going into it in a long drawn out blog I've tried every thing as per the guides to the tee, running FTXG, DX10 FIXER, all the bufferpool settings, clean installs on it's own drive, numerous fsx.cfg set up's and the list goes on without any change what so ever, the only thing I haven't done is autting down process's and service' that are running in the back ground as I'm totally unsure as to what can be shut down, could some one point me in a direction as to where I can find a guide to do this as a last resort to see if that can slove the problem, win7 64b…

My first proper failure, fantastic.... full throttle up from Cape Canaveral airbase to view some freeware scenery for NASAs VAB. Almost straight away oil pressure light came on, I flinched, looked at the dial for zero oil pressure. Panicked ... The engine cut out ... I knew my drill, I'd run through some lessons on FSX and watched You-Tube videos on emergency descents and landings, I trimmed for best glide speed, dropped some flaps, did 180 and dropped back onto the runway with the stall horn squealing in my ear. Brilliant! ;) What a plane!

Hi! I would like to make some Videos of my FSX. Which Programm is the best to record the Screen as avi or mp4 or whatever? I already have camtasia Recorder, but there is one Problem. When i record and watch the movie then, there are always some "objects" which disappear, but only for maybe 1 or 2 Frames. So that means, that suddenly all clouds or the plane disappears and i dont know why. The only reason i could think of is that im using tow Monitors... Any ideas? Thank you

Hello.. I have downloaded a freeware scenery, Creete photo scenery. I have a little problem with it. I see the AI planes, but they dont move from the parking spot, using AFX- it dont find any errors for the AFCAD. Can anybody help to check the AFCAD, then I can send the AFCAD to check it out.. hi guys, its been ages since ive posted, but here we go. yesterday i bought the pmdg t777 and its frikkin amazing however, it keeps on crashing when i click the menu buttons. i have uicore dll thing they say to put in the root folder but it still crashes. i was told to get a registered copy of fsuipc because it can save flights before it crashes. im a bit confused to what this is, ive done some research but im still confused. is there anybody that could explain in short what fsuipc is and is it really worth it. many thanks.

Hello, I unzipped the file. It gives 3 folders: effects, simobjects and sound but the aircraft config file is nowhere to be seen and the aircraft does not show in the aircraft menu. Need help THX

Hi guys, I've been getting a weird problem with fsx recently. The game loads up perfectly fine and I choose my aircraft, set the route etc. however when I press fly now I sometimes get the loading bar come up on the screen with my desktop background still showing rather than the black background. I hear the engines running but see nothing! Sometimes, however, it does load fine and I see the cockpit, hear the sounds etc. but this time when I go to open the gps or map and even speed up or slow down the real time fsx just cuts off. It is starting to get on my nerves now and I don't know what to do? I would appreciate if someone could possibly help. Thanks.

Hi guys, I have been using opus (not the beta) for several months with prepar3d 2.2 and loving it. Recently I've noticed that when I start a new flight and flight plan, the weather is no longer automatically loading the flight plan in opus. Not a big deal as I can then manually load it but it seemed to me I never had to do this before. Anytime I started up a flight and plan, opus would automatically load it I believe. Disable weather update on startup is not checked. Any thoughts or have I been wrong about it automatically loading before? As I said not the end of the world as I can manually do it but the less setup prior to flight the better. Love your produ…
