I'm looking for a nice "approach scenery". Any airports you recommend? It would be nice to fly over buildings (maybe even high risers) during final.I have the default 2002 scenery. So where should I go? Thanks in advance!

I have an admittedly lower-end system but one that still manages to run the sim with the default planes (and most addons ones) quite well even though I push the graphics settings well beyond what I prolly should with specs like mine. But while it may not be "silky smooth", it is nonetheless still very flyable for the most part and the scenery is sharp and crisp.So I bought the Archer last week and man! do I take a hit!!--not only in framerates but just in the fact that now whenever I fly that plane, the scenery out the window just CANNOT keep up and I get the "blurries" within just a minute or two (something that never happens with default planes). Does anyone know what it takes to change the original aircraft.cfg that comes with DF 737 to be able to use with another 737. I want to use the 400 configuration in a 737-800 that I fly in my airline and I'm not satisfied with how it behaves (it might be realistic though). The DF however feels better but we do not use the 400.

Hi I was just wondering if there is a way to make the windows a little darker on their new version of 767 and A330 Aircraft. I know its not a big deal and its probably exposed to be the sun reflecting off the surface but in real pictures its a lot darker then it is on theirs. Thanks alot

I have the Wilco PIC B767 installed in FS2000. Yesterday, I tried to select a PIC B767 in the aircraft section of FS2000, but there were no planes in that category. I also tried in the saved flights page, where I had stored some PIC flights, but I got an error message about initialization of aircraft not possible.I closed FS, and looked in the FS directory, in the aircraft library,. Sure enough, the PIC files were there, all five planes that I had originally installed, ( patch also).I do remember that prior to this disappearance, I downloaded some big SID, STAR, and Approach files into the FMC folder, (the FMCWP folder).Could this have caused the planes not to show up in …

Thanks Gentlemen, I used FSUIPC and they work.I now can operate the King 350 Throttles, Props, and Mixtures from my Flightsin Yoke USB.Minor irritation: The Prop controls only go up approx half way.The throttle and mixture controls go up all the way.A solution for the proper prop movement Greatly appreciated.Thank you both.Jim Alcorn

Hi all,As we are probably all aware, FS2K2 is heavily biased toward America in its level of coverage on airports etc... 17000 "cities" listed, with over 10000 being in the USA alone. This means that the rest of the world is impoverished, you look at Russia or China for example, two HUGE countries, or Australia & so on..... hardly any airports included in comparrison....Even the UK (where I am) has only a couple of hundred, & I know for a fact that airfields & airports are missing... (wheres Bushey!!??? :))Basically, has any company on individual, created a BULK install that adds several thousand more airports etc around the world, with all the frequencies, IL…

This was common in FS2K but I thought it was a thing of the past with FS2K2. Two nights ago, landing at JFK in near-minimum conditions with the PIC767, the textures started to "smear". Also, if I looked out the side window in 2D and changed back to front view, the side view was superimposed over the front view. I know many of you will remember this from FS2K. At first I thought it was PIC but other planes did it too. I cleared the weather and it went away. Recently, the weather has improved and I haven't seen it since. I just installed DirectX 8.1 on my win2000 system. After this installation fs2002 and other Direct3D programs do not run anymore. I was wondering if there are any known 3rd party patches, programs, or a method to tweak the FS2002 config file which will allow you to host more than 16 pilots in a multiplayer session in FS2002. When I was using FS2000 it allowed me to host about 90 ore more pilots however for some reason FS2002 only allows a maximum of 16. While that seems like a reasonable number it is not very satisfactory when attending major flyins such as those on the VATSIM network when wanting to get a full perspective on the traffic in and around an airport vicinity.
