I'm just curious, nothing more.Since there are tons of work, time, and expenses to churn out a steady stream of high quality aircraft, as freeware, I wonder what it is all about. I'm not sure of the product name, as I can't see it at the AVSIM store. It's the software add-on for FS2002 of the DC-10, of Hawaiian Airlines I believe, released several months ago.If anyone figures out what I'm talking about- is it worth it, any comments? I'm specifically interested in the DC-10 panel, although the rest would be good to have to- if it's not a rip-off :)Thanks, any information appreciated.Bruce.

I'm using the NavData.dll from Eric Marciano and it is placed in the right folder and NavData 1.3 is the latest version I have BUT when I export a flightplan ... it only writes a *.ini file and the FMC does not pick it up. When I rename the file to a *.pln file it picks it up in the FMC but the ND shows in RED ... flightplan not loaded!Any ideas why?Thanx for the help.Terblanche

I've built up a whole load of Airbus and other non Boeing airliners which various excellent people have made available for download.Unfortunately, FS2002 seems to insist on using only the standard Boeings and MD83's in its AI traffic, albeit with non standard textures and airline indentification.Can anyone explain to me in fairly general terms how I can get FS2002 to select Airbus and other non-standard types in AI?Is there a file somewhere to which the aircraft types need to be added?Or is it necessary to have a separate traffic scheduling tool?Or is it that there is something in the aircraft specification which prevents FS2002 flying these aircraft in AI mode?I apprecia…

When I file a flight plan, my Aircraft type comes up as 737 or something to that effect, even though I am flying a smaller aircraft. Does anyone know how I can change that, because it's greyed out and won't allow me to type in something else?Thanks.

I have found some conflicting websites -- I am running Windows ME with 512 meg RAM. I now have my VcacheMax set to 61440 and VCacheMin set to 0 in accordance with one of these conflicting websites.I get reasonable framerates (except at addon airports) considering what others have quoted in this forum during the past few months -- but I am trying to cure the random lockups/screen freeze that happen every now and then .Barry

I have been running my RW, SB, and FSMeteo through WideFS for about 6 months over a networked Windows XP operating system with FS2002. I have never been able to get a joystick button successfully mapped over to my laptop to act as a RW push-to-talk switch. I have two joysticks installed. One is an old Wingman that is used simply to allow my Suncom Throttle to operate and my primary stick is a MS ForceFeedback 2. I have read, and followed the programming instructions in Pete Dowson's documentation but cannot seem to get it to work. Hi All,The Major Problem is:now that I have installed this work of art, no other GA Aircraft will do. Over the past few days I have logged in 5.8 hours just VFRing around Sweden. I thought after that it was time to jump back into my old favorite " the baron ". Now please realize my shock when the aircraft loaded up! I saw the baron panel ( default :-erks ) Oh lord, how spoild we get soooooo fast with Dream Fleet products. I am having a problem with Stuttering in FS2002.This problem started last week and I cant figure out why it is doing this.I get error messeges poping up everytime I boot my computer up.In FS2002 the problem is stuttering when I am flying.The stuttering goes in and out.I will get about 20-25fps when all of the sudden the frames will drop to about 2-5fps and FS2002 will start going slow.This drop will last about 10sec and then go back to 20-25fps.This continues while I am flying.It is very frustrating to try to fly this way.That is why I need some help from somebody.Here are my system specs:P-4 1.6Ghz 256MB-SDRAM40gig-HDGeForce 2 64MB-RAM MX/400 28.32driversMy computer was …
