Can the FDE information be compiled into an excel spreadsheet?

I have recently downloaded the excellent AFCAD utility by Lee Swordy and Airport files from AVSIM. The programme is excellent, but I have noticed on several airports that Aircarft are landing in both directions, (and sometimes at the same time!), is there any way around this.Many thanks,ChrisEGBB

The AA 727 simply does not work any more.... When I press OK after selecting it, I get a bit of disk activity, then the hdd light just starts blinking about every second, and FS2002 stops responding..... Ctrl-alt-delete is able to close it.....This is using Windows XP, nothing out of the ordinary running in the background......Can anyone help? This is one of my favorite planes... :(

I have heard about a reflective texture update for Mike Stone's A320. Is it true? if so, where can I find it?

After 1-2 years with a CH Yoke USB and pedals, I am wondering if it's worth the hassle and complexity with FS2002. I just found my trust old MS Sidewinder Precision Pro from 3 years ago and feel like re-installing it! It was so smooth and reliable and it always worked so nicely. The CH stuff is good, but it is a bit "sticky" and the pedals go to sleep from time to time, and it's a pain to re-boot.Has anybody here done a "reverse migration" like this and if so, does it work without screwing up stuff like DirectX, etc.?Or.....is there a way to have both installed at the same time?JS

Is nobody as excited as I am about this? It was supposed to be out a few weeks ago? The shots of the cockpit and exterior model look absolutely amazing. I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a "stir" for this plane.

I just got the new gmax Lear 45 and I have one question:How do I remove the default Lear from the manufacturer/type/variation list? Adding "//" in front of ui_manufacturer, ui_type, and ui_variation only makes it appear under the Unspecified list.All help is appreciated. :-)

Is there a doctor in the house?Someone (a while back) said that one needed to perform a bit of minor surgery to Paul Goldings MD-87/88 panel for it to work properly in FS2002.Can anyone post a list of the fixes I need to make to this masterpiece to have it functional again?Any help would be most appreciated.JP

Many of us love the virtual cockpit (and yes, we love the 2d cockpit as well), but we also know that the default AI aircraft (MD-83 and Dash-8) have neither a panel, nor a VC. We also know that the GMAX files for these aircraft are available. Here is my proposal: I would like to create VCs for those aircraft. I could use an existing freeware panel or someone could create an original panel for the 2d panel, and the VC would use the same gauges as that. I would appreciate feedback on this idea. HiI've been a MSFS fan for a long time. But i stopped flying for some time for several reasons. One of those reasons was that i didn't have a good system to run FS2K, and FS98 was getting just too obsolete. Anyway I'm back with a new system and FS2K2, but i'm looking for some advice on what settings should i have on my sim and on my video card (I have the Geforce Tweak utility) to get most of this incredible sim. Also , if you know of any site that provides this kind of info, or if you know of any program or any utility to get most of my system. Does anyone know how to get the landing lights on add-on aircraft to work like the stock aircraft that come with FS2K2? It's nice that they can be seen on external views, but there is just something missing when you turn on the lights and can't see them from within the cockpit.Thanks in advance!Hawk

Hi Guys,I've been having fun using CFS2 aircraft in FS2002 lately, but have run into a problem. A few that have multi-res models do this weird model view swap thing where the lower res models show up on anything but an extremely close view in spot mode. Also the VC disappears. They say they are for CFS2 and FS2000. I have others that are just fine. Any suggestions?Thanks,ToddKCOE

HELP! All of my aircraft go overspeed at .54 mach. I was cruising in a NWA A320 @ 35,000 ft. at .78 mach (the A320 cruising speed at FL350 as said by airbus.com) and I almost went nuts from the overspeed sirens! This might be normal, but I don't think I want to cruise around at .54 mach forever. Is there a way to fix this or change the sim's definition of overspeed up to a reasonable speed?

Hello Folks,i am a friend of the old war birds and their powerfull voices likeRR Merlin and RR Griffon, Allison and Daimler Benz 601, 605).This is the point why i am mailing todayI did not found anywhere for the fs 2002 a sound file for the Daimler Benz 600 series, which was used in the Me 109 and Me 110.There are some really good Messerschmidt aircraft for use with fs 2002, but unfortunately no sound of a Daimler-Benz 600 from a quality like Mike Hambly's or Aaron Swindle's sound work.Does anyone know a soundfile for the daimler-benz engine, may be that it already exist and i did not found it?I would be very happy by any reply.Happy LandingsAndreas

Thanks to all of you who offered advice on my recent upgrade problems. The system seems to be running fine now, and I am getting frame rates with the XP 1800 almost double what I was getting with my PIII 800. Thanks again.Bruce

The A320 is my all-time favorite aircraft. What panels does everyone use? I know most use the PSS panel, but I don't want to pay for anything. ;) I've seen a few choices out there. Also, do any panels simulate Airbus' fly-by-wire characteristics? Looking forward to flying the Project Airbus A320, can't wait until it's out! :D

Hey Gang!IFDG has definitely done a magnificent job with their version of the Boeing 757-200. The flight model is beautiful and rock solid (I don't think POSKY would have gotten it any better - KUDOS Guys!) The dynamics, visual model, and animations are very nice as well. Now for the observations:1. No reverse thrust engine animation! (Is this possible for a future update?)2. Hey all, I decided to reinstall FS2k2 because I found it was time. I deleted the folder and attempted to reinstall the program but 11% into the installation, it says: "usenglish.bvp cannnot be copied because it may be in use or the disk is full... Retry or Cancel"Now i have 5 gigs of free space so i know that my disk is not full but how is "usenglish.bvp" in use if i deleted it? Someone plz help!!!

First, let me say I love this scenery! It's great to see what can be accomplished with a well considered balance of scenery detail and frame rates. My question have more to do with the approaches themselves. I've read the NOTAMs and tried several of the approaches. First, since the 421C is not a turboprop, it doesn't really fit in the classification of high performance aircraft that approach over warbird island. Still, at 135kts (the speed restriction on the approach from Fisk, I believe) the nose is too high to really fly VFR. With flaps down and a booster seat (shift-enter) I can start to see the railroad tracks. That's more an observation than a question.I'm not sure I…

It's that time of the year again and here we are still going mad. Well, I have a short but quick reason the lockups are starting again.It can only be that summer is now here..A year ago when I was experiencing some lockups, I had check my system BIOS to see what the temperature was. I saw that when my lockups occur, my PC temperature was just over the allowable limit to where it would shut down any programs that had any excessive use of my CPU..Flightsim was of cause the only one.During last fall and thru the winter, I experience flawless flight times without any problems whatsoever, regardless of what drivers I was using...Now that the teperatures has suddenly, crept up …
