Just want to share with you how I got my new ti4600 to work for me.I saw quite a few posts recently of people struggling with their setup for ti4600, so I decided to inform you of my findings.Maybe not all usefull stuff, but maybe some of it could be of help.Quite a long post, but let's go:After swapping my GF2 for a GF4 4600 I was disappointed at first.I didn't get the framerate improvement I expected and on top of that was faced with new issues with FS2K2 that I never had with the GF2.Biggest issue was the frequent lock-ups I experienced while changing scenery. What in fact I needed to do was re-install FS2K2, but I was reluctant (as many of you) because it takes about h…

Mr. Erickson, you have REALLY out done yourself!! It's beautiful! I can't begin to imagine how long it took you to make this. It reminds me of many of the plywood plants I used to see during the few years I lived in Oregon. It's great!I'm only sorry that I was one step ahead of you in uploading my 2nd edition of Pacific Northwest Scenery. Didn't get this one in the listing, but it will sure be in the next.A beautiful piece of work Mr. Erickson, thank you. I can hardly wait to see what you pull out of the hat next. Please, don't stop!Sincerely,HeatherThe propeller is there to keep the pilot cool. Think not? Watch how much you sweat when it stops unexpectedly. ;) http://ftp…

hello everybodyi recently bought a Geforce 4 MX 440 graphic card, and i am very happy with it. unfortunately, i am unable to correctly display reflective textures and moving water wawes. it jsut works if i enter the aircraft selection menu within fs2002, then switch over to the desktop (with the windows key) go back to FS2002, and click on ok.i would like to know if there is a possibility so that this works from all alone, or maybe if there are any new drivers which do not require this.thanks all for your helpMarc MullerFlight AttendantLG

  6. Hi y'all, what I am really missing at GoFlight's website and FAQs is some basic information about what is what is not possible with 3rd party add-ons. I assume most of the people that are buying a stack for 800 US$ are hardcore simmers and use either the PIC, PSS Airbus or DF737 for flying. We all know that these programs are modelling a lot of stuff outside FS2002 and therefore do not function very well with the GoFlight stuff. I am absolutely aware of that and despite the fact I ordered the GF-AC a few days ago. So I don't not think that it would limit their sales possibilities in any way if they would make the user aware of this fact before he buys. It would be very help…

Hello friends...Can someone tell me where to download saved files for FS2002? I think we need a good place to find these kind of files. Let's say, situations where you are on approaches to different airports around the world, where you are flying under severe weather conditions, etc. etc.I haven't been able to find a site with these files... Let's see if we get enough people to have Avsim open a new section here!!!Thanks,Carlitos

Recently installed Flight Deck Companion, which requires the fsuipc utility/module file in order to run the program. Version 2.83 is included with FDC. Whenever this file is in the modules folder, there is a noticeable performance hit in the sim, with or without FDC running, where I see intermittent stuttering and drastic fluctuation in the frame rate meter at all views and angles, during flight, or on the ground. When I move the .dll file out of the folder and re-run FS, the stuttering stops and the frame rate meter shows more of a consistent or steady reading. I saw these same results several months ago when using version 2.73 and removed the file, since I didn't us…

I've been informed by a number of people that my signature has not been showing up. Until then I was unaware of it since I've been seeing it just fine. But that could be because of cookies and the artwork being on my machine. I just changed the location of the artwork online. Can you see it now? Thanks,Heather

Hi All,Had a friend who is painting aircraft ask me a question today that I couldn't answer. I feel a bit foolish, after flying all these years, but I didn't know the answer. The United States uses N in the tail numbers, but what does Mexico and Guatemala use for their registry? You can respond either on this forum or by e mail to me,Thanks in advanceClayton T. [email protected]

Ok I had to reformat my C drive today, and reinstall WINXP. I keep my FS2002 files on another partition so I didn't loose any data. It seems to work just fine without having to reinstall anything. My Question is this...is there a way to "fake" or add a registry entry so that other programs that look for this to find their way to F2k2 can find it?[br][br][div align=center]http://members.cox.net/joshieca/fstimeslink.gif][br

According to the Aircraft Container SDK the following applies:1. Alias statements allow aircraft to share components with other aircraft. If it made sense, you could have a 747 share a sound file with a Cessna.2. The (General) section in the aircraft.cfg file allows you to make statements that apply to all the variants in that *.cfg file. Now to my question. Even though the SDK does not mention this function, is it possible to place an "alias" statement in the (General) section so that I can avoid placing it in every (fltsim.n) section within an aircraft's *.cfg file. For example, in my AI project I have almost one-hundred 737-400 variants in the same cfg file. I'm t…

I am very pleased with Project AI's amazing airliners, but I was wondering if there is any way the Microsoft props can be removed from the skies. Preferably I would like to just fly about with airliners around me. On a secondary note are there any developers currently working on a free or shareware program to incorporate Sids/Stars, holding patterns e.t.c. and 'local' accents into the ATC experience? Thanks in advance for any information!

I think the answer to this question is no but, just in case someone has figured out a way to do this... Is there a way to manually enter waypoints into the FS2002 flight planner besides going in and dragging the route from waypoint to waypoint? I use the old EFIS 98 flight planner to pick my routes but I need an easy way to go in and type in the waypoints into FS2K2. Thanks for your help.

Several military and other aircraft have appeared as freeware for FS2002. They look nice but ---How do I determine if these simulations fly like the real airplane?I, as many here, have never flown an airplane for an extensive period of time. While I appreciate the appearance of the airplanes I also want to do more than admire it. Has anyone, who has flown these airplanes, taken a look at their simulated performance? To a degree I can judge the faithfulness and artistry of their visual aspects but I certainly can't determine if they even come close to the flight characteristics of the real thing - given FS2002 limitations.I know that in our new pure world that criticizing…
