I got my registration today-have tried it out some more and this is one of the most clever additions to Fs I can remember. As you fly along words "pop" up over points of interest-for instance-"San Diego Bay" or "Sea World", "Star of India" (a boat docked in the San Diego bay), etc. Points of interest, geography-everything. It is really great when flying over unfamiliar areas-and I guess end users can and will add their own points. All,I need to apologise for allowing an error in a scrape point to get into the final build. This error induces sound anomalies when on the ground.As an interim fix, please edit the aircraft.cfg file : under SCRAPE POINTS ... please remove BOTH lines for point.7 and point.8.Then, please replace point.7's line with this :point.7=2.0, -18.00, 0.00, 9.50, 1250.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 9.0, 0.0, 0.0 I was trying to be a little too clever and I induced a glitch that nobody picked up before release. Since the documentation or descriptions do not indicate the range, what is the range of the convair CV580?I'm thinking of doing another round-the-world trip using either the CV580 or the Beech Baron50..... But I need to know the 580's range before I plan anything.....Thanks

What do I need to add to get the crash realism back. I blew away my system for a rebuild this weekend and forgot to keep track of a few things. I have most of my FS stuff set back up but I can't remember how to get the crash realism back, vs the instant hit a tree stop.Thanks in advance.Joel

Hi Geof or anyone else who uses this utility.I wish to modify two of the original Sopwith Camel gauges and I'm wondering if Panel Studio will let me do it (I understand there is no trial version?).1. Change the airspeed indicator to read kts instead of mph, but using the original bitmaps.2. Change the moving card in the compass to read standard numerals (i.e in tenths of degrees) rather than N, NE, etc. The main bitmap would be unchanged but obviously I would need to create a new bitmap for the moving compass card.Does the above sound like it is within the scope of this utility? Do I need anything else to accomplish this, please?Thanks

Does anyone know why I lose my IAS on the speed indicator after I set autopilot to hold a speed??? I get the mach still but the ias just says 0 and the engines remain at full throttle even though the ias is set for 210 on the ap. This is in the default 737 btw. ThanksRobbyG

Hi,I had installed that beautiful MIG21 of Captain Sim and experienced from that time on lock-ups while I was flying the fighter. I did a lot of experiments and now I have found the cause: it is the USB! I had connected the mouse and joystick to the USB ports and at each lockup FS2002 didn't respond anymore on the mouse as well as the joystick. I had still respons on keyboard input but I had to reboot the system before control via mouse and joystick was returning. Now I have connected the mouse via a USB-PS/2 adapter to my computer and the lockups are gone!This is maybe of interest for you, guys, who are experiencing lockups from time to time too.Hm (a DC3 and MIG21 lover…

As soon as the sim starts the plane exibits the crash landing sound in the background? (Like the gear collapsed and im dragging the nose down the runway)but the plane looks and taxis fine. It stays there till i take off, then its gone. Then when i land , as soon as the nose wheel touches, and i mean touches the ground the crash sound is there again? Only with this plane. Its as if the the sim thinks the gear collapsed but it has not?Other than that its a fantastic aircraft. Real touchy in the air.Any ideas would be appreciated.....Thanks FSD!Ed:-hmmm

I got the demo of EZ Landmark and am buying it right now. This is really cool-tells you everything you are seeing out the window-everywhere! Not only a neat toy for sightseeing in unfamiliar areas but a real tool for training for real. Hello!I tried the suggestion in one of the prior post on how to get the REFLECTIONS back in FS2K2, and it worked for me!Ran FS2K2 Pro in full screen mode, then I brought up the aircraft selection dialog box, pressed key combination and after FS went to the desktop, I went back to FS2K2 and, cool...Reflections again!Now if we can find a temporary work-around for the water-motion problem, all the GF4 MX440 users should be more happy!Happy Simming!Scott :-)Here's a screen shot with reflections on the GF4 MX440 card:

HiI need to creat some light like ramp light and ... what should I do?

I'm a little new to FS NAV and am wondering how to take a flight plan created in FS Nav and export it to FS 2002's flight plans. I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I also use Radar Contact and am wondering how to get radar contact to see it. In other words what is the path I would need to use. Thanks for any help.

I would to use it to reply to fs2002 instead of press to keybroad.

Hello,I have the problem that after installation and de-installation of internet web programs the sound of Jet WAV-files are jerky (only sch.sch.sch.sch. out of speaker). The Cessnas WAV's are O.K.! I have install FS2002 Pro one time over, but with the same result! Don't fly into a tree! Jur

Periodically, especially on the 737 models - but happens on KA350, Lear also, I'm getting a "continuing" Flap deployment or Flap retraction .wav file playing - and it won't stop until I hit "F7" or "F6" briefly, and reset the flap setting I'm going for...... Sound just keeps "grinding" away....... something in my settings / .cfg file I could adjust ??......using SBLiveValue, on a PIII800 system, 528ram.....ThanksRon

Is there an easy way to remove the cockpit default "pillars" from 3rd party aircraft? When you add your favorite panel to some of these aircraft, they are in the middle of your side view from the cockpit. Some even have that stupid looking pilot sitting there in the first officers seat. Any help?Thanks,

I installed the Directx 8.1b and the the Nvidea Drivers 29.42. Everything seems to be working good, I think in most areas better then my previous drivers. The 29.42 drivers replaced the 12.41 drivers. I have only noticed one problem, while approaching a runway the runway lights look wavy and not steady. This effect is seen mostly during sun set. It less during the night or daylight. This was the case even when I was using Directx 8.1. This effect is not seen if using the 12.41 drivers.I prefer using the 29.42 drivers but obviously I like the runway lights to look more steady. I appreciate if somebaody can help. Hi community,let me first state that I am very pleased with this sim -- never had so much fun with any ga sim before (I tried FS98 three years ago, but I felt it wasnt really worth getting into it, but FS2002 is like a giant leap forward!).Well, the only technical problem (besides some framerate issues over crowded airports on a Athlon 900 w/ a GeForce 2) are the animated water textures. Since I fly on FS2002 I just make non-stop flights.Is there any way to plan a flight with at least one stop or more?
