I will be getting a new computer soon, and I am stuck. I don't know which is better for FS2002? AMD XP or Pentium Processor's.If I would go the Athlon route I would have:AMD XP 1900256 MB DDR Ram or 512 MB DDR RamGeforce 2 MX/400 (what I have now, works great so far)and everything elseI just don't know what I should do. Hi,After using texo-matic to install a new skin on the C421, the aircraft did not show in Select Aircraft menu. Not there under Flight One, not there under Cessna, not there under Any. I did a re-install and the C421 folder is in the Aircraft folder in FS2002.Still no show in Select Aircraft.Here are the first lines in the Air Config....[General]atc_type=CESSNAatc_model=C421performance=Power : Continental GTSIO-520-L rated 375Hp @ 2235 Prop RPM. HiI'm using ACS Crew Sound Dialog, but everytime I use it my sound volume always set to max volume, I have already set my sounds volume parameters in FS2002 menu to 5%, and set my windows sound volume to 3% (this will make regular volume I'm comfortable with), but each first time I use ACS Crew sound, it always set the volume to max again (of course I can get back to windows sound mixer and set the volume again to 3%) but, this is so anooyying, I want to make it fixed. Does anyone know how to change max volume in FSSound?

Does anyone know any place that I can download AFCAD modified airports that have multiple gates and use multiple runways. I am interested in KSFO, KORD, KLAX, KDFW and KATL. Thanks

A recent occurrence ... if I do not do a flight plan, I am normally able to request taxi clearance etc VFR - but not anymore. I can still bring up the ATC window but pressing any of the keys for REQUEST TAXI - EAST DEP etc' does nothing. This used to work just fine, but can't work out why it doesn't now. If I do an IFR flight plan the ATC still sorks fine.I noticed also that the airport (which is normally ATC equipped) doesn't come up in the CHOOSE AIRPORT list either - if I depart and then turn around and come back after a while.I'm baffled - any ideas please???

Well... I did it!!!! I finally built my new machine!! I decided to locate my OS (WinXP Home) on one physical drive and place my swap file on a second drive within its own 3G partition. Tyhe question I have is whether to let WinXP manage its size or to set minimum and maximum settings myself? The default after installing WinXP was "custom size" of 768-1536 MB. I have no idea why my system chose these numbers but I have kept that setup only placing the swap file on the other drive. I am wondering if it is possible to have the wing showing when you take a 3/4 rear view look back. Either in cockpit or vc mode (if there is no vc). Is this something that is easy to design into the model when it's built or can this be modified on an existing one? I find it really adds something to the flight to be able to see the wing/engines behind you. Thanks for the help.ToddKCOE

The other night I pulled a aircraft out of my hangar which I have never flown before, Cessna 182RG. I planned a 145 mile cross country trip with an altitude of 8500'MSL. My initial climb speed was 90 KTS, but as I reached about 4000' the airspeed dropped and the plane refused to climb. I thought I had a bad plane, so I pulled out my usual 172 and found the same problem. If I pull the mixture back to just before cutoff, I am able to get a little more power out of the plane but now where near enough to continue a climb. Any info on what might have caused this and how to correct it would be greatly appreciated.Brian

About 1.5 years ago, I found a whole ton of UA Flight Attendant Announcement wav files. I had to reformat the old HD, and lost them. One announcement that I really want is the 727 demo. --- "please direct your attention to the flight attendants in the iasles holding the safety information card, take the card out of the seat in front of you........."If anyone has these or knows where I can download them, please e-mail me or post a link.ThanksP.S. Hi guy's! I was just wondering if anyone know's how to make a Cargo Plane used as AI Traffic go to a CARGO parking spot?? Does it have to with the Radius size of the gate?? or to Adjust the MDL Radius SIze of the plane to make it fit only into the Cargo parking Raduis size?? Can it be done this way? As I have downloaded the AI Plans for FED EX and wanted to know how to make them go to CARGO Parking instaed of them parking at the main International terminals with the passenger planes?? I have 700 aircraft to edit to change the "aircraft type" integer from 0 to 2 so my AI aircraft won't show up in the FS2002 selection list. Lately, I have been looking into some of the terrain mesh sceneries now available. They are available with resolutions ranging from 38 meters all the way down to 9. For comparisions sake, does anyone know what resolution the default mesh is? I am guessing it is around 70 or 80 meters, but does anyone know exactly? Thanks

Can anybody tell me if these can be done in a realistic manner? A few minutes ago I made a quick trial with a CL-215, taking off from a place called Alert in the extreme north of Canada. However, I was getting some strange effects. When I switched to external view, the plane AND runway would seem to "drift" over the ground, and when I went airborne it seemed to me as if the plane were flying more or less sideways. I then switched on FSNav and set my plane to fly to the geographic North Pole on the FSNav map - however, I would then get a heading indication of some 74 degrees. Shouldn't it rather be 360 degrees when heading straight north? :-hmmm

I've just uploaded an update to 2 of my land class files (which use land data from the USGS as compiled by Matt Fox). Several people pointed out to me that Mt Ranier "should" have snow year round. Matt's info didn't show it and "opp's" I didn't notice so.... I've updated the 2 landclass files that start just south of Portland, OR and extend north beyond Vancover BC. It's an area approx 300 by 600 miles. These files can either replace the files of the same name in the larger PNWLandclass uploaded earlier or used as "standalone" scenery. They now show snow on all the high peaks, Mt Ranier, Mt St. Helens, Mt Hood, Mt Adams, etc. Note: the .bmp images do not go in your…

Hiya :)As you know my computer case blows up and i got new one and after puting all the bits in i needed to instal xp 4 times .Still was crashing and making the errors so I took everything outa the case and started again.finaly i maneged to find the problem.Where before the memory was set to 133mhz and works always like this as it is 133 memory the computer is finally only working when it is at 100mhz.Do not knw why this happened but if it goes to 133 again it goes mad .But when i load flightsim it is actually better than i have ever seen it be :faster/more smooth.I just mention this, if any have a simalar problem and this is easier than the two day i spend on this proble…
