Most of the Fsim aircraft I have flown - both default and addon -all seem a bit simple to me . So I started to look at the ERJ-145 panel and boy, is that the opposite end of the spectrum!!! :) You need to be a real rated Captain to remember all the switches, etc in that panel. One day I may master it --- but in the meantime, I am looking for a kind of "Intermediate " panel for any kind of aircraft. One that is fully operational -- but not needing the expertise and memory of the ERJ-145 !!! :(Any suggestions?

I'm sorry for the OT post, but it's been a very long weekend, and I'm looking for some help. I decided to assemble a new system to use with WidevieW (my final one to give me a right side view). I spent a few weeks doing my homework (as much as I could), and decided in the end to go with a Gigabyte MB (Tom's hardware top pick for KT333 chipsets) with Corsair 3000 memory. The details aren't important, because after roughly 24 hours of heartache in 2 days, I'm certain that the MB is defective (to review how I arrived at this conclusion would probably be more painful to methan to you). After numerous benchmark tests (Gigabyte board couldn't complete any 3D Mark2001SE tests), I…

I just finished a marathon tour of all 50 U.S. state capitals (in alphabetical order by state no less). The original intention being to "collect" all 50 state capital buildings. To my great surprise, they're not all there! Basically states fall into one of 3 categories:Group 1. States with custom models of their real capital buildings. These are Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, and Utah. Here's an example from Boston.http://home.kc.rr.com/techazoid/massachusetts.JPGGroup 2. States that use one of three "generic" capital buildings. There's a 2 wing building in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, …

DreamFleet is releaseing a Cessna, oh well. FS is something for everyone so I can't belittle what others like, I for one would like to move across the virtual sky a little faster than 145-50 knotes. Bush flying is nice but this new Cessna really bothers me concidering they promised us they were going to be working on a couple of new airliners most noted and appreciated by many was the modeling of the classic 727. Don't get me wrong I like bush flying but there are so many other planes yet to be modeled than a Cessna. At least model the 182RG that way I can get more speed over low terrain. Flight1 was promising a 727 & DC9, I would have gladly waited for Dreamfl…

I downloaded hawaii_10m.zip earlier today from the demo's from commercial venders category. The readme says that you must purchase a password key to unlock the zip file from the vender's site, but I'm already able to unzip the file and I see about 3 dozen bgl's. If I install the bgl's into my scenery folder will the scenery work, or will I be prompted to pay once I start up the sim? If anyone is familiar with this scenery please let me know since I want to keep my install clean and trouble free. Thanks, Matt

All right I am still not clear about the status of previous CD owners as I guess it got buried in that long thread. Just so everyone is clear about it thought I would post here rather than wrting privately. I would be willing to order a new CD anyway, but what will owners of old CDs have to do...just download an update? Will we need a code? I think not but want to be clear. Thanks.

Hey all. Just a quick little question. Whenever I boot up FS2k2, a little "sliver" of the bottem of FS2k2 is cut off. This is apparent on the Splash Screen and actual menu. Once I select my aircraft and my starting airport, and get the sim up and running, everything is fine. I'm currently running a GeForce4 Ti4600. One odd thing is that it started occuring when I hooked up a second monitor. Any thoughts?Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolTaxiwaysigns.com

Hi guys,I'm requesting the painting skills of a good FS2002 aircraft repainter, to paint the Project Airbus A300-600 into the Saudi Arabian Airlines livery. If someone responds, then I need you to remember that the swords & palmtree logo on the tail isn't reversed on the other side, rather it stays the same. I'll provide you with the particular A300 model that I want painted plus excellent reference photos. It's worth noting that the VA I'm in ( www.sv-virtual.com ) needs this aircraft model in the fleet to replace the older model. Thanks,Asim Daffa :-kewlVP, Fleet - Senior First Officerwww.sv-virtual.com

Does any one know where I can get a photorealistic panel that's made for FS2002 for an F-18? Right now I'm using a FS2k panel. Thanks!

For FS2000, I remember many really accurate Japanese Airport sceneries were available from a scenery review website called Dazeflight, this appears to be now defunct but I was wondering if any of the featured scenery files have been updated for FS2K2 and if so are there any english language sites that link to such files?

I am planning to make my first 'real' trip across the Atlantic soon and I was wondering how you 'slave' the Autopilot to the GPS... I know how to set it to a specific heading, airspeed and so on, but not how to set it for an Atlantic flight... Help would be appreciated.... thanks!Grzes

Hi all,A small bug managed to sneak into the third release of the Fokker 50 Panel Project. The EHSI is incorrectly displaying true heading instead of magnetic heading. I have made a patch to take care of this problem. Please go to the download section at my website to download the patch (125K).http://home.c2i.net/fokker50Best regards,Espen OijordsbakkenFokker 50 Panel ProjectFreeware Panel Designer Association

I know ATC Simulator is out with version 1.5. But for those that want not only TRACON but also Enroute ATC simulation and for our European friends, an actual Eurocontrol type ATC (with actual Eurocontrol displays) go check out this site, http://www.xavius.com/news.html I just ran across it and it looks like it is gooing to be a very good simulation. I just hope they have a better speech recognition engine than ATC Simulator does.

Does anyone know of any way or any add-ons for FS2002 that allow one to save time series of flight data such as lat, lon, attitude, altitude, heading, airspeed, weather conditions, etc. into a file, such as is possible with X-Plane? I'm interested in this capability for pilot decision-making research. Thanks very much.

Hi guys, I've been wondering why all of a sudden, development over newer, more advanced B747-400 panels have ceased since the release of the PSS744? I was told demand, but take a look at this: the PSS320 was released just months ago, and now there are several new 320's coming out (Apollo, WilcoPub) coming out to compete with the package. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't it according to the Avsim poll that 70% of buyers were not content with the PSS A320? (consider that the A320 is even more advanced that the 744 package) I was thinking, that rules out the "demand" reason, because the Jumbo is still one of the most popular planes out there! I think the only reason…

Mike, I think I speak for many when I say that I'm thoroughly impressed with your FS2002 GMAX Beech 1900D. This said, I'd like to make a request in case you're looking for a new project. How does the Beech 1900C sound? pleeeeeeeease? lol. Not to beg or anything. hahaha. I just think it would be a great compliment/complement to your B1900D collection. George

Just installed the latest Nvidia video drivers for my machine. The drivers were just released, version 29.42 Detonator. Everything seems to work fine except that now my joystick control axes are not working right. I have no aileron control. I am sure I must be missing something simple here but has anyone else run into this?So far, after tinkering with axis assignments and sensitivities I have had no luck in getting aileron control back.

Hi there today was my first lesson towards my PPL, a real buzz to do the real thing after years of flightsimming.I am doing my training at Jandakot Airport in Perth, Australia with the Royal Aero Club.I am training in a Cessna 152 Aerobat and have been looking for a good plane for FS2002, I downloaded Carendo's 152 with updates but it just does'nt feel right, it might just be me but does anybody else have any suggestions for a 152 or just an air file?Looking forward to my next lesson on Friday, only hope the weather holds out. Thanks in advance.Barry.
