Hi all. There is a new nVidia driver 30.30 over at the guru site [www.guru3d.com]for anyone interested. My 3DMark2001SE marks went up by 700 with them. From the posts in here, I gathered that FS2K2 uses roughly 200 megs of the available ram. I was just wondering, since quite a few of us seem to have 512 Megs or more, if a patch could be implemented to use ram beyond the 200 or so of the present limitation, thus eliminating the stutters and the blurs completely.Any thoughts, specially from those programmers out there?Abe

I just bought my first PC (i'm a mac user) for flight simming, and love 2002!! Question is: I purchased the PSS747, 777, and A320. How can I make planes I've downloaded use those panels? Also, is there a web site that explains how the FS2002 folder system is set up? As in where do the panels go, scenery go etc? Thank youL3

Just purchased 1.7 gig 256 ram Geforce2 card machine and trying to get a new sidewinder pro2 joystick to work properly.Keeps dropping out one of the axis-s ie fire up at Meigs and suddenly there is no aerolons !! Or the virtual cockpit cant be accessed --only spot and tower and 2D panel ! Anyone know what to do ? As its intermittent.If you reboot the machine it will generally come back OK for a while .bob

I understand that the "Greatest Airlines 737-400 for FS 2002 takes a long time to master. Is this correct? Most people seem to like the sim. However, I do not want to spend weeks learning how to master the sim. Is this sim worth the money, and how long does it take to master it?I am proficient with the FS 2002 737, but not with the additional electronics that the Greatest Airlines comes with. RamNVidia G4 Ti440029.92 Nvidia DriversWindows MEDirectX 8.1And I'm still getting low framerates 5-6fps while on the ground and 10-12fps in the air. Is there anything I can do to improve my framerates. Anytweaks change is bios what can I do! Thanks

When I'm on the ground going through all my preflight checklist my ATC just shutdowns and I cannot communicate with ATC anymore. I usually have to restart the sim but it usually happens again after about 5 minutes. How do I fix this problem. Also are there any FS2k2 tweaks to improve the graphics. I have a GF4 Ti4400. This is driving me nuts. All the DXT3 textures I've seen on my unit are blurry. Is there some setting I'm missing to get them to look sharp? The DXT1, 8, 24 and 32 bit textures are all fine. Thanks for any help.ToddKCOE

Why don't you do the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome? It seems made to order for you guys. What a great place to fly the stick and cloth stuff. Judging from your past work, I know you could do it justice. The blurries are gone and replaced by amazing texture and detail that never knew existed in FS2K2!! My system is an older P3/867MHz/512MB running with a new Visiontek G4/4600. I'm Kyle Ramsey, the training director for the VUSCG (a VATSIM Spec Ops VA). My latest project is a Military IFR certification for our pilots to train them to a higher level and give them a nice challenge too. I have lots of resources I stole from the USAF (AFI's and the like)and am a PPL-SE with Instrument and <10 days away from my commercial checkride, multi and CFII to follow (and God, I'd love a seaplane rating, but hard to find in New Mexico). I would really like to get into flying a nice regional prop (Dash 8 size) on short hops. I'm going to get the PSS Dash 8 but until then could someone tell me about the best plane to get. And I'm a stickler for flight dynamics, I want it to be as real as it can be. I cant find a good fde for the default dash 8, all of them make it fly like a jet fighter. I just made a flight in Mike Stones B1900, and it just didn't feel right. Like when I took it off autopilot, all of a sudden it just bobbed up and down really really fast. It's just too sensative.
