Are all these DC3 files which were uploaded today new, or are they the same files from a year or more?

  2. I disabled the gyroscope drift in FS2K2 because it was annoying. Now that I am flying for real I find that eliminating that from my scan has created a bad habit. I tried enabling it again but the precession rate seems rediculously high. In a real Cessna 152, I find that it might drift a few degrees over 15-20 minutes. In the sim, it can be off by 10 or 20 degrees in less than five minutes. Is this something that can be corrected in the cfg file somewhere? Thanks!David

Heads Up,New SB Drivers are available. I've downloaded and installed. I was very pleased to see that I now have a frame rate increase as opposed to the old drop in frame rates that I had with SB sound. I'd like to know how the new drivers have affected other simmers frame rates. Thanks in advance.Happy Jet Trails To Youflyking

Anybody know where a fella can get a hold of an improved .AIR file for the default Baron? I've got some great repaints, I'm just tired of flying the same iffy aircraft, no matter how pretty she is.

Hi folks,Well I have finally acquired the Archer II (love her to bits) and am seriously thinking about a scenic RTW trip.Since I finally have a system that supports that kind of trip (PIV 1.7 GF2 400MX 512 MB DDR) and even in the worst of conditions my frame rate never drops below 12 now in the Archer I am seriously contemplating doing a RTW VFR in FS2K2 starting at the Piper Factory in Florida. Here is what I would like to do (hang on I am coming to the reason for this posting soon):I would like to do VFR legs if possible of no more than 60 to 90 minutes (I know, it's going to be a hell of a lot of legs for a RTW) flying manual VFR at about 500 to 1000 feet AGL. I would l…

Hello,I've recently installed Paul Baines' excellant scenery of Leeds Bradford Airport. Unfortunately though, it is reporting that some of the scenery files are missing. Around 21 files are reported as missing when it loads the scenery. I have checked the release note a few times, and only Gerrish Gray's tree library is mentioned which I have also installed.Has anybody else had similar problems, or knows how I can find out what the files are so that I can substitute something else in? When the error box comes up, it's just a meaningles load of numbers!!!Thanks for any helpCraig

Are you guys going to make a Virgin Atlantic livery that is smaller in size? I went to download it & it was 24mb! I have a crappy 28.8k dial up, so I can't really download it. The reason I'm asking is because the Virgin livery released now says it is "version 2" and above it there is a Virgin livery that is "version 1" but it's not released yet. Thanks!

Hi.Hopefully someone can help. I have two questions regarding altitude in FS2K2.1/I'm flying a default 737 to SLLP. Being the highest airport in the world, I'm at FL300, and looking down at the very close ground about 50 miles out.Question:Obviously I'm 30000 ft above sea level, but is there any way I can tell my height above GROUND level? Must be about 7000 feet.2/Same flight, I'm hitting the 'B' key fairly often so my barometer reading is in line with what ATC thinks I should be doing, and every time I hit it, I'm all of a sudden 20 feet above FL300, and dropping accordingly. No problem there, happens all the time. Then ATC pipes in and tells me to "expedite my climb to …

Hi I started doing some IFR cross-country with some heavies and I am runnig into some problems with the ATC.I created an IFR flight plan from SFO to SEA using Direct-GPS mode. I contacted all the necessary frequencies and was on my way to SEA. Everything worked fine, I was handed from Cneter to Center along the way but when I got close to Seattle nothing happened. I was expecting to get descend instructins and to be handed to approach/tower etc. but nothing happened. I eventualy crossed over SEA at 27000 feet and no-one talked to me. The only options in my ATC list were 1. Cancel Flight Following2. Select Airport OptionOnce I crossed over SEA I just selected "Airpo…

Situation is simple. I fly an IFR, either created or loaded. It works fine. After I land, I go back to fly a different flight. I go to flightplanner and clear it. Then I either load another IFR flight or create a new one. After loading up the flight, I'm never given the IFR, only VFR. The only solution is to close out FS and start over, which is a real pain, especially flying with real weather. What have I overlooked? Thanks,Spruce

Note: Anyone with a Gigabyte mainboard (or maybe some other manufacturers???) should read this...Firstly, thanks to all who advised me following my last post. I now have my CPU running a lot cooler which can only be good. This was not enough to stop the FS2002 crashes though. I've had to use the 'Load Fail-safe Defaults' option in the BIOS so there was obviously something that was set there that FS didn't like. One day when I have the time perhaps I'll investigate further and try and find out exactly what it is. This would obviously be of benefit to other owners of the Gigabyte GA-7VRXP board (btw, can't fault it otherwise!!!)Thanks again.

Well i love flying in and out of JFK Airport and have become very disappointed in the fact that there are no scenery updates out there for it. So necessity is the mother of invention, i have plenty of time on my hands and look to build my own. The Problem is that i have never done scnery before so this is going to be a tremendous undertaking as all of you know. Creating 9 terminals, taxiway signs, hotels, parking garages but i can put in 8-10 hours a day over the next month and i want to get it done, what i need is advice on where i can go for pictures, tutorials, programs anything that can help my attempt and not only learn how to do scenery, but learn how to do it well,…
