I recently saw that Flight1 is offering the 421C with DXT3 textures to reduce the impact on fps. Has anyone tried this, and can you relate the difference in fps vs. texture quality? I'd like to purchase the Flight1 Cessna, as it seems to perfectly fill the niche between the smaller GA A/C I fly, and the heavy jets. I don't see any performance issues with the Standard 2k2 A/C, and except for the new Simubuild A340, I've never seen my fps fall for any third party aircraft. The 421C looks great...can't wait to try it... Hope someone can take a moment and give me some good feedback...Also, how "safe" did you feel the process of ordering the product was. Maybe I'm wrong here, but I can't seem to find any decent scenery for mid-size and small US airports (freeware or payware). I have seen some good payware scenery for really big airports LAX, Atlanta, DFW, Newark, Philly.I'm from England and theres plenty of quality UK scenery available (GB airports, UK2000 scenery) plus a number of individual airports that people have designed. And there's good scenery of other European countries (Spain, Sweden & Germany).But you Americans by far out number the rest of the flight sim world and yet you don't seem to produce much airport scenery. Hi to all:I will like to know if there is a way to increase the force that the brakes produce to stop the plane forward movement when I press the tip of the rudder pedals. Right now when I step on both pedals the plane takes too much to stop.Thank you.

One thing that bugs me about FS2002 is that I cannot get in touch with the airport that I wish to land at soon enough. An example - I was approaching KSFO in a 747, at 20nm out I finally get the airport listed on the ATC list, so I get in touch and by the time I get all the relevant landing information I had to turn around to line up with another runway, go to the map feature and look up different ILS frequencies and the rest - very frustrating and unrealistic in my opinion. Surely 747 pilots get more warning in real life?Ideally I would like to get in touch with the landing airport at about 50 nm out to give me time enough get all the frequencies punched in and to mano…

For all you Southwest Airlines experts:As we all have seen develop over the years since deregulation, the major airlines have developed the hub and spoke system for passenger traffic. Yet I know of no regional airline that serves Southwest Airlines.There have been many nice repaints of the DH 8-100. New regional aircraft developed like Mike Stone's Beech 1900D, RJ85, ERJ-145. The ATR and Jetstream too(even a nice UA Beech King Air). So I've used them as AI to funnel traffic to the hubs. But Southwest remains without any, and still a mystery to me. when i try to laod FS 2002, I get the default splash screen, and the hourglass but the sim will not load no matter how long I wait.I had just reinstalled fs 2002 and it worked fine for 1 day. Hi,I encountered a weird problem last night that I have never seen before. FS2002 has been working fine, but now for some reason, hitting the SHIFT key shuts fs2002 down. It shuts down almost instantly, much faster than by hitting exit. Except for this FS runs normally.Any thoughts?David Rawlins

If I remember correctly, the earliest versions of MSFS had two features that don't appear in the latest version. First, I seem to remember that one had to turn off the strobes before entering a cloud because the flashing would be annoying (and dangerous in the real plane!). The flash appears to be gone. Also, didn't the early version have pilot controlled runway lights at some fields? I also thought the icing was done better. I never seem to pick up ice anymore.David

Just curious,Does anyone know what the setting's noted below from the FS2002.cfg are for? Is it possible to send textures and models while on-line, therefore enabling others to see your aircraft if not on their system? That would be too cool. I'm sure you and probably everyone else on-line would need a very hefty bandwidth to do this. I'll bet it is for some other mundane use. Howdy,I've been away from FS2002 for some time now because i'm visiting my parents... And I've been waiting patiently to get back home and fly one of the new aircraft. But I was wondering about this for some time, and was wondering if someone can tell me if it is possible to do the following... Has someone been able to have the flexing wings bump up and down slightly during turbulance? I don't know if the SB A340 is like that because i haven't been able to try it out yet. but i do remember i tried out the Posky A330 and noticed the wings bump up and down if you go off road... i know i know i shouldn't have done that...Thank,Al

I am having a problem with MS 2002. When beginning a flight the airplane has full left rudder/nosewheel which I can't seem to correct. Please instruct me on how to correct this problem. Is there a way to correct it once and for all? Thanks Jim
