I recall having seen an article or forum post that explains how to fix (i.e reduce) the strobe / beacon frequency on FS2002 aircraft. Anyone knows where to find that 'how to' text ? These 'rapid firing' flashes are driving me crazy ;-) !Jurjen Braakhekke

Hi guys, i need a little help.Does anybody have any idea why the "End Flight" screen keeps popping up on me? U know the one that says End Flight/ Continue Flying/ View Flight Analysis. It seems like I play for about an hour or so and hen the "End Flight" screen pops up about every 30 seconds.As you can imagine it gets pretty annoying. Is there a special key combo I might be pressing on accident or something? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance, Geoff

Hi,Just wondering about the centre bogey on the A340. It tilts in the opposite direction to the two outboard units, but all the other aircraft I can recall seeing have bogeys that tilt in the same direction.Anyone know the reason for this?Cheers,Gareth Evans

I recently installed my first AFCAD airport which includes an overlay. This is a replacement for KPIT. The replacement consists of two files, KPIT which replaces the original by the same name, and 2PIT, which is the overlay. Both installed fine, FS2002 rebuilt the scenery stuff, etc., no problem.I then ran the FSNavDBC application to be sure FSNav found the changes. The problem is this (example) ....I ran FSNav and selected a flight plan from KPIT to KCLT. When I clicked "Open" in FSNav, KPIT was instantly replaced in the flight plan by 2PIT. When I attempt to export this plan to FS2002, even if I change my departure airport back to KPIT before attempting to export,…

Hi All,Does anyone know of a way to switch between the departing airport "tower view" and the destination airport "tower view" while in route to your destination?"If so, can it be done during flight without having to reset everything?The reason I ask is that I like to watch the instant replay of my landings from tower view. Since the default tower view is from the departing airport, it doesn't have the correct angle or view of the arriving airfield.Any help would be appreicated,Thanks,JD

What aircraft are considered "heavy" jets? I know that the bigger Boeing (767,777,747) are. But I heard a controller say that a B757 was a heavy. After a couple of years of flawless operation my MS Precision Pro 2 joystick decided to call it quits last night, though it had worked perfectly the night before. Briefly, here is what happened:1. After starting FS last night nothing happened when I tried to change views with the hat switch. Under "options" and "controls" the "enable joystick" button was inoperative.2. I tried the usual fixes: shutdown, restart twice.3. Followed instructions in the troubleshooting section of the user guide: reinstallation of software, complete uninstallation, then reinstallation again. Tested joystick in other USB ports. We are working on the final stages of the new improved Grumman Duck.I have been doing some final polishing on the air and cfg files (after completely replacing the air file, was the wrong one)I have the shakiness smoothed out and she will lift off the water just fine, but now i can't slow it down!!I am using the original air file of Tom Schaad's which, as far as I can see, has all the correct speeds for the Duck.I have been tinkering with the cfg file until blue in the face and this bird is still flying too fast.The the engine and prop set at 2000 RPM and 22 manifold Pressure, this bird wnats to cruise at 160 knots!!Once again, I am at a dead-end and know not which way to…

hello, Just curious if anyone knows why Vans Aircraft is not responding to my emails that I cant get the plane I bought to Download! Has anyone else had any problems with them? Are they still in existance. I have waited a while to finally purchase one, but I cant beleive its been two days since I purchased it and still no response with any help in getting it to download. Can anyone tell me how to get the landing view (shift+numpad5) I used to get in FS2000, in FS2002? When I hit that same key in FS2002 I get the main cabin view. Anyone have a fix?

Hey everone. Whenever I force my LOD to a negative settings (i.e. -3) and force level 4 anisotropy filering, my FPS counter gets blurry and becomes a much darker red. I have lost ability to hear jet sounds in 2002. Propeller sounds I can hear. Strange!When I couldn't resolve the problem, I reinstalled 2002 and am working with no adons. The problem persists.So, the problem has to be outside 2002. Doesn't it?I've never seen any post by anyone having had this happen.Any ideas?Joe
