My Cyborg 3D joystick has ceased to work properly. Therefore I intendto buy a new joystick. Can anyone propose something better? What is bestfor use with FS2002?I think I have read here that theese force feedback joysticks is not goodto use with FS. I this correct and if so why?Could a gamepad be useful as a controller for FS?

Just curious as many are still having problems including myself of course. My problem is the not so transparent trees and still have no lights on the automobiles. Gave up on the original thread as it go toooooo big.BobG

Hey Gang!I installed the EditVoicePack 1.0 program and downloaded the voice pack updates that have been made available lately in the libraries. Everything works pretty much as documented but I did noticed one little problem when communicating with ATC.Whenever you contact ATC, the pilot does not say the new name - it only says the flight number; the ATC facility, whether Ground, Tower, approach, etc... says it right, as for example, North Central 1234; but when the pilot speaks, the pilot only says 1234 rather than North Central 1234.Has anyone noticed this little anomaly and, is there a fix for it?Thanks for any input!Sincerely,Dennis D. I've been trying to use this program. It seems to be an excellent utility - unfortunately I just can't get it to work. The very first stage in the process is the creation of a definition file. This I can do. The second stage is to call up the file just created and here's where it all goes wrong. The file has vanished from my system. It no longer exists - in fact it seems that in some strange way the file has got itself deleted.Has anyone had a similar problem - I am fairly tearing out my hair - and there is not a lot of that by now.Bud

You know in FS the fuel pump on the ground at most airports that has the yellow box around it? I was wondering if you can refuel a plane using that instead of going to the tool bar and selecting Aircraft>Fuel... cause that gets kind of boring and seems unrealistic. Thanks for your time

I have FS2000 I have recently purchased my first add-on, World Air Simulation, EFIS 2000 NAVDATA. When I install EFIS 2000 it installs EFIS98.exe and not EFIS2000.exe. When trying to run EFIS98 it asks for the orignal CD which I have never had. I have un-installed and then re-installeded both FS2000 and EFIS 2000 but still no joy.This is all rather new to me so any help would be appreciated as World Air Simulation are not responding to my emails.

Hi not being an expert but more of a happy simmer, I have a problem with my Cessna RG, whenever it loads I get scenery library not found and lose the propeller and other candy, is there a way to put this to right without a reinstall as I have lots of addons. Guess one of them may have something to do with it.Any way any advice/help greatfully received.Thanks in [email protected]

Set up a three hour flight from Cancun to Houston in the 421C... I set up a flight with some mild chop, then took off, set the autopilot, and took a stroll through the virtual cabin. I was surprised to see the ailerons moving in response to corrections by the Autopilot due to the chop.I used to see this in FS2000 with FSDS aircraft, but noted it was absent in FS2002, although only w/ the autopilot. Input from the stick allows one to see movement in the control surfaces, but not when the A/P is in control.Has anyone else seen this or even noticed it? HiFor some reason, i've never been able to activate the reversethrust using CH FS YOKE. I used to activate it using the keybord back in FS98but this doesn't seem to work with fs2k2.. any helpTHX

I'm sorry to be using this forum for this, but i need to get a response form JUSFLIGHT about my order, and they don't seem to be responding my emails. I placed an order yesterday at justflight for World Airports, but at the time they where verifying my credit card info, it never seemed to respond(lathough it said "this could take up to one minute") I waited for ten minutes and then closed the standby page. I didn't get any email confirmation and when i check "My account" there doesn't seem to be any order there. I was thinking about this earlier today as I was writing my fifth help guide. I would like to challenge a bored aircraft repainter to come up with a "clear" texture/repaint. Basically take a good sized jet, 757,767,777, etc, and repaint it clear...or "semi" see through. Maybe so that you can see the wires, gears, passengers and their luggage and chairs, the pilots, flight attendants, etc.I think it would be cool. I installed PHNL tonite and it "took" right away. Minimal frame rate impact. Gorgeous colors and details. Stunning real life effect at PHNL.But then, I took off at night. Then I observed many flashing and multiple textures, as if on a merry go-round. I had strange visuals in and out of the cockpit with a bit of panel and a broken up screen effect with a bit of spot plane, whirling lights, etc. By day, I had flashing ground textures at the airport. This seems to corrupt textures elsewhere during the same sim session. To get rid of this effect, I must reboot Windows 98 or at least FS2002. I tested for 2 hours with different a/c and at different times of day.I have …

I'm sorry, I know it's been asked before, but 'search' reveals nothing so I bow to those more knowledgeable. How many add-on sceneries can be added to FS2002?A number I have heard is 322 (for some weird reason) but is that only for scenery kept under FS2002/SCENERY? Or for any scenery folders listed under the SCENERY LIBRARY e.g., those that reside in SCENEDB?I know all the tricks about creating subfolders or putting all my mesh together under author names or categories - done that already, otherwise I'd have a list as long as your arm - but I'm not one who likes to drop stuff into the key SCENERY or TEXTURE directories or one who likes to clog up the ADDON SCENERY fold…

I built an input device, which I use in Fly! together with a joystick. In fly! I can assign whatever available input-axis to whatever game-axis. How do I do it in FS2002?P.S. What is the airport on the cover of FS2002 Pro?

Before I start, here are my computer specs.Pentium 4 2.0 GGeforce 4 TI4200256 MB DDR RamWindows 98 SEMy frame rates are sort of on the low side, say between 10-20. 10 at airports like KLAS (Las Vegas) and 20 around KMKE (Milwaukee). My resolution setting is at 1152 X 864 X 32. All settings are maxed out except auto-gen and scenery density which is set at dense. The dynamic scenery is also off, along with water reflections, aircraft reflections and shadows. I only use default scenery. Sometimes I get jaggies on the runways in front of me, and blurriness everywhere.The only way I can get it to look half descent is when I have the resolution super high with a 32 bit se…

I still haven't pulled the trigger on a mainboard and cpu and drive system. I have a shiney new sweetly modified all Lian Li case, with speed controlled fans, Enermax Whisper PSS, and pre-cooled air, and the promise of a 2.8 P4 or a 3000+ Athlon has me staring at this lovely case waiting to be completed.
