I've been searching, searching, and searching, my friend also, and we could not find a good one.....does anyone know of one that is FREE and is somewhat good? Thanx for any help and advice!

Argument: Making the FS series "too realistic" would making the learning curve too steep and scare away many users.Counter Argument: Improving the flight dynamics, for example, would make the sim easier to fly. Anyone who has flown a plane knows that flying a flightsim plane by hand is much much harder than flying a real plane by hand for a variety of reasons, and one of those reasons is definately poor flight dynamics. At the same time, if MS implemented more "realistic" engine handling, etc., the casual user would probably never notice the difference anway, so why not do it right? The other day while trying to fly into SFO, I discovered that the Localizer was sending me in far left of the runway (28R). I have been trying to figure out why this is happening and how can I fix it. Does anyone else have this problem? If you did, how did you fix it? I "think" I can fix it with the EasyNav2002 utility but FS2K2 wants Lat/Long in format dd mm.mm and EasyNav uses dd mm ss (.ss) format. In this, I am having a brain cramp and forgotten how to convert on format to another. Sure would appreciate any help from any other flight simmer.Thanks a Bunch, ginho819 (Ron)

Slightly off topic, but perhaps another simmer can help me on this one...My old hard drive crashed, so I put in a new one and re-installed everything. O/S is Win 98SE.I'm using a Riva TNT2 64 Series video card. Trouble is that whenever I do a "cold boot" my Nvidia drivers don't load. Instead I get a message saying that new hardware has been detected (the monitor). When I get that message I click 'cancel', which brings me to the desktop. I then re-install the Nvidia drivers and all works fine. (Even though I click cancel, the standard VGA driver still gets loaded so I can still see the destop).Interesting thing is that if i "restart" the computer everything works fin…

hello allwhen in spot view from the side, all of my aircrafts tails are half off the screen , while there is ample space between the nose and screen edge, is there any way to adjust this so that the aircraft is more centered on my screen ? this is with most of my aircraft in fs2002.any help would be appreciatedthanks aginpaul

Has anyone purchased Emma Field from Simmarket? I am wondering what sort of response they got.I ordered it and received an Email with a link to follow to "get the product". The link simply took me to a page showing all of my order information. There was no download link.So I clicked on their link that said I could chat with a live representative. I have problems with printing out the diplomas in FS2k2.I have two printers connected a inc jet and a laser which ismy default printer.When I try to print from the Lexmark 5700 ink jet FS hangs up andI have to reset. Then I'm told there is print job waiting. WhenI then choose to print only my name get printed.When I try to print on my Epson 5700L laser the diploma is printedinverted that is black instead light and white instead of dark.I use Win98 SE eng Athlon XP 1800+ 256M. (but the same problemexisted with prior Celeron 400MHz with WIN 98 first edition)

It would be interesting to know which aircraft (panels) display the most accurate engine simulations..........oil pressure, temperature, cowl flap relationships, etc. Any suggestions?

I've noticed reference to this recently, but not really sure what it is. I want to replace the dll from orginal disc. Disc one only offers START and UNINSTALL options. Clicked UNINSTALL, next page offered optional box to save MY FLIGHTS, then click START. Question: If I keep clicking for next page, will BROWSE appear before UNINSTALL commences? (Yes, I'm a devout coward about making assumptions)Thanks in advance for any help/advice,JackD

Downloaded the files for the NL2000 scenery over the last couple of days, which took hours thanks to dial-up connection!Looking at EHAM, there seem to be a few static aircraft around the patch! Does anyone know how to remove them? Also can anyone recommend a good AFCAD file, as the one I have is not brilliant. If not, I'll have a stab at it myself.Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone! I have a question about water textures in FS2002. I run it on a very good system with almost all display sliders maxed out, yet I still seem to have really boring water effects. I recall seeing a video of FS2002 before the product came out maybe a year ago, and the water seemed to actually have a moving/sparkling-in-the-sun effect. It was alive. My water is dead in FS02. Is there some update or setting that I'm missing out on? I even tried putting the water effects slider up all the way to reflections and detail and nothing has changed.
