Hello Folks!Well! After almost a year of faithful, hassleless service from the part of FS2002, it's finally starting to show the side effects of all those wornderful addons I have installed over time. For the last couple of weeks, I have been noticing a rather annoying issue. Every once in a while, an error message will pop up saying "Scenery Object Not Found" and a bunch of code numbers included in the box. I can deduct that somehow, the system is looking for an object that is no longer there or something. The URL below points to a program called FRAPS. While this has probably been posted before the utility of the program is worth re-posting since new flyers are always coming aboard. The freeware utility presents an FPS number in a corner with one-second samples that seem to tally with FS2002 counts but jumps about a lot less and offers a more understandable average. There was a little application called endit all for Windows98 and ME, It use to be great for running FS2000 since it killed everything that was running. The question is if there is a similar application for WinXP? Thanx in advance for your replies.

Hello,I'm having some trouble flying the heavies. Hope someone can help me. When I'm flying a default heavy (747-400) in FS2k2, after take off, I engage the autopilot and the auto-throttle. I then set the Altitude and hit the "ALT" button. Then I set the speed and hit the "IAS" button. That takes the aircraft to the altitude I want and it stays there at the speed I set it to. However, I can hear the autothrottle continuously working the throttle back and forth and the nose of the aircraft keeps bobbing up and down. It just does not seem to hold steady. I mean, the aircraft is indeed at the set altitude and speed, but its making my passengers airsick nodding its head up an…

Is it normal to only hear the flap and gear sound out of one speaker when activated? Normally in all FS 2002 aircraft, when I lower or raise the flaps/gear, I hear the sound out of both speakers, not just one. I only hear these sounds out of the right speaker with the T38, is this normal?Yeap, I have the service pack installed.

Hi,I'm new to FS2002 but have flown previous simulators.I'm having problems with IFR. I've flown a couple of times using IFR and unless I choose the 'Request Visual approach' my flight is totally ignored when I get close to the destination airport and I could go on with the last heading given until I run out of fuel or exit the flight. A third time I decided to turn to intercept the ILS and was told to return to the previous heading - this after passing the destination airport by some 25 miles (in a Cessna!)!Surely this is not right. Anyone else find this a problem?

Which is the better package? I know the Arianne GMAX 737 is due to be released in a couple of weeks, and wasn't sure if this would be abetter bet than the dreamfleet product? Well, this will sound very weird, I'm sure, but I will shoot anyway. Since yesterday, my simulator has been freezing my computer to the point where ctrl-alt-del does not help. And it happens EVERY time i start FS2002. About five minutes into playing, the frame freezes and I end up having to manually shut off the computer. Since my computer is practically brand new, I am a bit frustrated. At first I thought it was a RAM problem, since i only have 128MB of SDRAM. However, it doesn't gradually slow down as memory gets 'eaten' away. It just freezes a few mins after i turn on the sim. I completed a disk defragmenter, disk cleanup, and even a virus scan. Nothing helped…

The installation instructions in the airfile update for the new GForce Cessna 150h mention a panel update for this aircraft. Specifically it says "If you downloaded a panel up-date , then .....".I can't find a panel update in Avsim library - anybody know what this is all about Thanks

I was wondering if anyone has any good Denver mesh scenery and surrounding scenery around KDEN Intl. I have been flying around there on the simulator and I also checked out globe explorer and the default scenery just doesn't look like the globe explorer image. In fact in some ways I have to say that FS2000 surrounding scenery did look somewhat more realistic than the new. Any inputs on this subject would be helpful. Also I don't know if any of you would know of any ground textures that create the round irregation fields that you see in New Mexico, Texas, Garden City, KS. See globe explorer to see what I mean. I need YOU to help me help YOU!!I am thinking of starting a website that will be very usefull to pilots, not a file download website, like AVSIM, but somthing like the VA Stockmarket. I am not sure what to create. Firstly I thought about a website where you can keep a log book of flights. Then I though abot a website where you can edit the loads of an aircraft, add passengers, add freight, and calculate fuel. But this would take a bit of cooperation from aircraft designers to create .cfg files that would be compatible with the php output. I have come across a rather strange occurrence with the above mentioned program. Having loaded the program in the normal way, and having carried out two flights using it, I loaded another plan, and went to Export, only to find that there was no entry for Squawkbox listed. On using "Help" option, Squawkbox was listed as an option. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and the option "Squawkbox" returned as an option in Export. Having done a flight, opened the export option, and yes you guessed right- its gone again. Anyone any ideas on this please.
