Hello,I have started a course in web coding, (thats in PHP not HTML). and I am looking for a place where I can exercise the skills I learn. I have spent the day looking at Virtual Airlines, and looking at the website structure, I can tell that it must take a heck of a lot of work updating the website all the time. I think that I could really help out in this sector. If anyone is looking for a PHP coder, then E-Mail me at [email protected] and I will talk and see if I can help. Other organisations other than VAs are also welcome to contact me. Be advised though, you will need a webserver with PHP AND a MySQL Database.Only contact me as well if you have a website design…

Hello,I just flew a night patrol from Dutch harbor to Adak and when I broke out on the adak approach I found no runway lights to be seen. Had plenty of taxiway light but landing on the taxiway is abit difficult in the C-130. :0) Anyone have any suggestions on how to add the lights or will I just have to tape a whole wing row of flashlights to the plane :0)Fly safeDave

OK guys, if my boss yells at me for falling asleep today I'm blameing you all. I stayed up late last night and got the Beech G18 patched. All AD's have been complied with. (old pilots will get that) I fixed the prop arcs, missing wind shield post, overlapping textures on wind shield and those dredded trans parent textures. I will leave the "spar" mods to you. (old Beech 18 pilots will get that one) Special thanks to Tom Gibson who turned me on to the tutorial on light maps and Chris File for writing the tutorial. I up-loaded it to avsim.com and will be up-loading it to flightsim.com later this morning.Have fun and enjoy, "Kick the tires and light the fires" ...greg

Hi All,Appreciate your responses to Aprnfix5.zip. Gotta be more out there that needs fixin'. My "to do" list is mighty short.Several of you have sent me airports that you want fixed, but when I went to the airport, I couldn't find anything wrong. That is, I didn't see any bleed thru, etc. Therefore, I didn't include them in my fix uploads. I wonder if our video boards can be at fault. I have an ATI Radeon 7500 64 MB. So maybe, the problem is really there, but I can't see it. If you still have problems with bleedthru (we used to call it shimmering) let me know. I can still make fixes for airports even if I can't see the problem. The fix actually confirms an airpo…

For anyone who has not checked out Bill Molony's new "Atlanta Skyline", go straight to the library and get it!!Spent last night touring around town with the Goodyear "Defender" (thanks to Bill Lyons), taking in all the fantastic sites, a ball game at Turner field, the Georgia Dome, and too many beautiful skyscrapers to mention here. Thanks, Bill, for your great projects (KATL Addon, Stone Mountain, and now the Skyline) Can't wait to see what you donate to our community next!!! :-sun1 Vincent

I wonder if anyone who has the Advanced Flight Control System - III USB would be kind enough to let me know their opinion on this product.I tried the new CH Product yoke and to be honest it turned out to be terrible - was not a smooth action even with lubrication.Advanced Flight Control System yoke is over $1100 Australian hence my apprehension.Anyway any info would be appreciated.thanks in advance,Richard

Just yesterday I was flying a chopper around Chicago and though I'd practise my hovering by flying near the blimb and holding position. To my disarray the blimb disappeared altogether before I could get very close! This morning I flew a chopper again around San Fransisco and when I approached one of the fixed scenery buildings it also disappeared!I never noticed this before. Is there a fix of any sort for it?Thanks in advance.James

Thank you!! Thank you!!The Goose works not only to enter the water but will pull right up on the ramp or the beach. It isn't the scenery like I had thought. It is the airplane!!!I have tried to do this for many months by changing my sceneries. With this plane it is a cinch to drive right up the beach. Easiest way to do this is to beach her while controling her from the outside. Watch the airspeed by hitting Shift+Z. Just as the Goose starts to enter the lapping waves area hit the G key and lower the gear. Time it right and it is as smooth as silk.Go to instant replay and it looks just like the real thing. Outstanding!!Frenchy -- out.

I've been using FS2K2 now since its release and have loved every moment of using it. I've flown countless different aircraft and am always in awe of the level of detail the authors have strived for and attained.Just recently I flew around Canberra at night and looked down at one of the water features. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, the soft light of the moon was being reflected off the water! I've seen the sunlight reflections of every type in FS2K2 but never knew that the same was being done for the moon. It looked incredible, almost spookily real! It's amazing that no matter how long, far and wide I've flown in FS2K2, I always find something new, which is what fly…

Firstly, I'd like to thank all the people that replied to the cpu temp thread.I downloaded Motherboard Monitor 5, and used the help to configure it. Now here's the storyMy specs are P41.5Ghz, 512MB RAM, 40GB HDD, WIN XP PROBefore I overclocked, I made a note of the CPu temp in the bios ( it was about 41C) Then I overclocked it, and using a little tool called AtivaSpeed I saw that I was now at 1900Mhz.Ofcourse, I was wary of the CPU temp, so after about half an hour, I quickly rebooted and entered the bios. Temp was about 43C.Now, I downloaded Motherboard Monitor 5, configured it, and now the temp display on the system tray reads 31C.(remember, the PC is already overclocke…

Im just curious what folks see if you turn off the check box for terrain detail textures in the graphic settings screen. I am running a Voodoo 5 on a T-bird at 1.4ghz with a 7200rpm HD and 512mb PC2400 DDR. I was kind of stunned at what an improvement I am seeing when I turn this off and Im below a few thousand feet where you can start to see this. I have seen my frame rates go from mid teen and low twenties right on up to the high twenties(sometimes almost 30) with it turned off. Im just wondering if this is peculiar to the Voodoo and how it does texture memory. All I miss are the grainy surface detail on the ground bitmaps and runways. It seems like a super trade off. …

Read on another "pay" website that the upcoming version of Combat Simulator 3 will have 3D "voluminous" clouds. It goes on to say that they will be important to game play.Bodes well for FS2004, I suppose.Chris
