As some of you know, the XB-70 has elevons and elevators. Is there a way to modify file(s) to make the elevons work ONLY above 350 KIAS and the elevators work below that?If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Hi to all. I posted a few days ago asking questions about CPU operating temperatures particularly when using FS2002.Since then I have found some further information that may be of interest to many here.I run a AMD 2000+ xp. The temperatures it reaches with FS2002 running is up to 75c / 167f. Now most folk here advised that this is way to high and I thought so to. It may still be the case. However I found a site which gives the maximum temps for many popular CPUs. In my instance, 90c.I am aware there my be many variables to take into account but I feel a lot better about my unit now.Anyway thanks to all who responded to my earlier post and go check this out for yoursel…

Ok I'm Stumped. (-:This is looking NW over Lake Michigan, with Chicago in the upper left corner. This shot is obviously slewed up to a high altitude (approx 100k') and zoomed out to show the entire area, but the problem land mass is there at any altitude. I don't fly the area much, and have not noticed it until a VA flight out of ORD last night. I went in and "deactivated" add on sceneries, temporarily removed FScene-USA summer, all to no avail.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d62fae32c0a09a8.jpgOne heck of a reclamation project! :-laugh1Any ideas anyone??Thanks in advance.Joe

I was just wondering as I read a lot of posts about FS2004 and expectations people have.Tendency is that a lot of people think FS2004 most probably will focus completely on utilizing GMAX, which sounds very logical.Could this mean that today's non-GMAX sceneries will become useless?I don't know about you guys, but I'm buying more scenery add-ons then ever before in my 16 years of flight simming...Every time again I try to withstand the urge to buy, but then you see some screen shots, reviews etc. and there we go again:another reg code to keep safe :)I'm just a bit worried that FS2004 will make them all obsolete as it _could be_ it only allows GMAX....I'm no techie, so I d…

jerrycwo4In an earlier post I described how some textures were missing from KSFO (San Francisco) AFTER installing the new FScene/ USA? Canada-Summer. I just finished reinstalled the default textures back into Scenedb/world/textures and some of the textures were still missing from KSFO. I ususally keep pretty good records but I couldn't find where I'd changed the DEFAULT KSFO in Fs2002, but I must have, because what I'm now calling the DEFAULT KSFO has AIRGATES and I know that the original default KSFO in Fs2002 did NOT have airgates so I must have changed it but just don't remember doing so.So this being the case, can anyone please tell me how to RE-install just the fi…

  14. Morning all.Recently I used XP's 'System Restore' function to correct all the problems I had with FS2002 after playing with add-on's, however since then I've been unable to download 'Real Weather'.The above message shows every time I click on the 'Real World Weather' button. And Yes, the internet connection is on!Any bright ideas would be appreciated. Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be changed???I've used the search function to look for a previous post on this subject, but no luck there. Thanks all.Allblack

Hey Gang!I have observed a particular anomaly that makes me wonder whether this is a FS2002 related bug or if maybe I have something mapped wrong. Whenever I land any aircraft equipped with airbrakes, the airbrakes automatically deploy upon touchdown (as they should). The problem is that they automatically retract as soon as reverse thrust is de-activated rather than staying in the deployed position until I (the PIC), decide to put them down. Has anyone ever noticed this? Is there some sort of parameter, somwhere, where I can fix this? Thanks for any input!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

Several of us have noticed that when we fly the Lendy5 approach into KJFK we get a scenery error message, two of them about some of your textures will not show on buildings, every time. We have only default scenery installed.

  21. Hi everyone,Okay, WinXP is installed on my spanking new, just built, sooopa dooopa P4 2.2GHz / GF4 4400 Ti / 512MB Crucial / SB Audigy / IBM 120GXP 60GB HD / Gigabyte GA-8IRXP MoBo based machine.First impressions - gobsmacked! How could I have avoided XP for so long? :( This is seriously good!!Anyway, enough of my musings - on to the problem......I use PSP a great deal for image manipulation and often with screen captures from FS. Hence my submission that perhaps this isn't so 'off topic'.My drive is split into 2 partitions - one 3 GB Primary partition for Win XP formatted as FAT32 (Elrond's advice) and the rest of the drive is one large extended partition (logical D: dri…

  22. Started by Vulcan,

Hey everyone.I posted this in the FS aircraft and panel design forum, but after 2 days, havn't gotten a response. My question is: Could someone make up a strobe effect for Cessna models that have a really unique strobe sequence. They come standard on all the new Cessnas that come out of the factory. They flash 4 times very quickly, all within about .5 seconds. The default FS has one flash instead of 4, and I would really like to see something more realistic on the C206 I'm making. Please someone give me a hand. Thanks alot!

I seem to have lost the ability to show the airways and intersections on the FSNav map. On the FSNav toolbar the L, H and intersection buttons are grayed out at all times. Any suggestions on where I've gone wrong? Better still, any ideas on how to get them back?

The FFG forum is still down so I'll ask here. I was wondering if anyone made smoke coordinates for the DC-10-10? It looks great, but I think it could use some smoke on takeoff. :)

[link:www.fsworldonline.com/~timsfsstudio]Click here to visit Tim's FS Studio!] Updated August 16th!
