Sounds like the old Beech 18 stured up a hornets nest. Just to let you know, I'm working on cleaning it up. I have already fixed the prop arcs. (much rounder now) I also added a missing windshield post in the 2D panel. (nobody seems to have caught that one) As for the translusent textures, I don't like them anybetter then anybody else. I have gotten several e-mails telling me how to fix it. Trouble is, each fix is different. I plan on sitting down this week end and trying out some of these fixes to determan which one acualy works.Give me a few days guy and I'll try to fix it. Hi, I was wondering what is the best setting to set the Visibility in FS2002 at?? Right now it is set at Unlimites, which i know the real world is not like! So Anyone got info on what is the best setting to use, which will not hurt FPS?? I would apprecite it! MIKE-:)

Hi there,yes I know this question (or similar) has been asked many times but even after searching several forums here at Avsim I need to reach out to get help.I've recently upgraded to a new system and everything's fine with the exeption of performance in virtual cockpit view, especially with the DF Piper Archer, FSD Commander and FSD Cheyenne. The stutters also occur using the wonderful 3-D side views for the Archer and Commander. Frame rates are no issue, usually within 25-60 and I tried both unlocked FPS and locked FPS at 25.What's strange is that those airplanes where smooth as silk (with lower FPS) on my old P3-600. I'm wondering what (if any) GA type (turbo-prop or internal combustion) aircraft might be able to make the trip from the US mainland to Honolulu? I recall that the airlines were successful in getting an extended ETOPS (from 120 to 180 minutes, as I recall) rating for this specific trip, which is obviously a lot more demanding than a trans-Atlantic flight (less diversionary options :) ) .Thanks,Bruce.

I want to improve my frame rates in FS2002. I have a pretty poor setup, and very little money, so I can only afford to upgrade 1 item of hardware. I'd appreciate comments on what is the most important upgrade to the system.Duron 850Mhz (P3 1Ghz equal)256MB SDRAMGeForce 2 MX 32MBIf you think of other hardware i should incluse let me know. I can only afford to upgrade 1 of these items. At the moment i get frame rates peaking at 20fps but sometimes droping to 4fps and it does not matter what is happening. I'm not very experienced with tweaking .air files so I'm not sure what to change to fix the present problem. I'm trying to use the POSKY A330 with the PSS Airbus panel. After I take-off, and retract the flaps, the stall indicator (red line up the side of the airspeed indicator) shoots all the way up to 250 kts. Now obviously I'm not going to stall in a clean config at 250 kts. Also, as soon as I engage the AP, the plane begins bobbing up and down very violently. Now, I'm not sure what to change with the air file to try to fix these things...Any suggestions?TIMMY!!

My push-back (shift+P) doens't work fine with my Forcefeedback F-33D (Genius) ... the 1 or 2 to turn left or right doesn't work... If i disable the joystick and use the keyboard reworks fine... Hello,Question 1:I noticed that AI aircrafts use to "tremble" when moving in straight taxis (AI speed is normal). It seems as if the AI track used by these planes is not straight. Does anyone already have this problem and how to solve it ? Question 2:I use AI Tactical display to "see" AI traffic around my aircraft. Do you know how to display with this tool, or with another one, the airport where ai jet come from or their destination ?THANK YOU :-waveTHAMA

Can someone please who has Project AI planes installed and also the Lago Honolulu scenery let me know what airlines they see at the airport. At the moment I see just the Lago AI airlines it installed.Aloha 737sHawaiian Dc10s, 717s and 767sWhat I want to know if you see any other airlines there as Im sure that I would see UAL aircraft there also. Hi guys and gal (guess it is Heather only),anyone doing this. I had frequent lockups lately and it took me a long time to find out what it was. Now I am absolutely positive: The C421 crashes with realityXP. Not immediately sometimes sooner, sometimes later but it will crash on any flight longer than 30 minutes. I was wondering if this is a known issue. I know that the default Cessna GPS was made by realityXP so I wonder if there is a direct conflict (using the same.dll maybe).Can someone shed light on this?Alex

What I would like to see out of FS2004 is a complete breakup of the simulator engine, so that it is possible to run various components of the system on separate processors or machines, broken down as follows: - Flight dynamics engine that models the flight envelope of the aircraft ala X-Plane. I've been an avid simmer for 20+ years and have spent most of my time with combat sims such as IL-2 (BTW, if you haven't tried this sim, you owe it to yourself to give it a whirl). At any rate, I occasionally like the change of flying and enjoy recreating the "feel" of a GA or commercial flight flown by way of charts etc...
