A320 Pilot in Command 3D Cockpit"Hello everyone,As we have received many questions and see some posts about the Virtual cockpit, I wanted to clarify some points about our forthcoming A320 Pilot in Command and the 737 included in Airport 2002 volume1.First of all, there will be no regular 2D panel anymore for those aircraft. You'll be able to fly only using the Virtual cockpit. In the Virtual Cockpit view, you'll simply use a mouse, a joystick or even the keyboard to pan around the cockpit, zoom in or out and get a closer view of an instrument or anything else in the cabin. You'll be able to activate all switches or buttons of your virtual/3D cockpit. For an ease of use we ar…

I should be grateful if anyone has experienced this problem (and even more so if you have a workaround/fix!):1. I start a flight with an aircraft showing a tail number.2. I land at an airport (or view AI planes using Ctrl+W) and some AI planes display exactly the same tail number as my plane! Not all AI planes do this, but I have noticed a couple of the default Cessna's and the Learjet do.3. I've tried flying without a tail number at all, and this fixes the problem some of the time, but I've noticed that some AI aircraft seem to retain a previous tail number (even though I've deleted or replaced all tail numbers from each plane's aircraft.config file).Any advice / suggest…

FMC's,GPWS, cabin announcements, autoland, auto TO, a gauge that provides infos on runways/Vors/NDBs (e.g. you only have to click on the appropriate rwy and the ILS frequency is automatically transferred to the AP), working intercom, speed call outs, speed alert, reverser warning, TCAS, door management, brake/gear sounds, seatbelts/no-smoking signs, taxispeed control, and many more.If you get bored during a long flight, there is even a working CD-player included. But if you looking for an eye candy or a panel that looks exactly like the real stuff, then the panel is nothing for you. It is a generic one for 2 or 4 engine heavy jets and its only aim is functionality - and m…

Hi there,Some of you may think I'm becomming a little obsessive, but I'm trying to see if anyone knows, and is willing to share with us all, a way to overcome the few small 'issues' with Paul Golding's 'masterpiece' MD-80 panel when used in 2K2.Just curious.Cheers!Gavin

POSKY C17 is a super download but with one oddity! Irrespective of weight or airspeed, when flaps are lowered the nose drops up to 20 degrees [with the velocity vector remaining correct and above[!] the waterline]. Result is that on an ILS, the nose is 20+ degrees down with the aircraft still flying the correct approach path to the runway. This occurs even at the highest weights and lowest speeds and is totally the reverse of what happens in practice.Grateful for any suggestions for and new [air?] file or modifications to the current set up.Many thanks

I was wondering how I would go about adding some of the planes I have added into Flight Sim 2002. Because I don't just want the default planes as Artificial traffic but I would like to see some of the add on planes. Thanks

Well, there I was today, en route from Vienna to Tokyo on Simubuild's A345, and cruising over Mongolia at 37k feet, when suddenly the entire sky above me turned into a solid white...much like fog, I'd say. However, I find it strange that such a phenomenon would appear at 37,000 feet and above...?! I encountered the same phenomenon again twice or thrice later on my flight, including the last twenty miles or so on my approach to Tokyo. I was using FS's built-in real weather feature.Could anybody more knowledgeable with weather enlighten me here?Cheers,

For anyone that hasn't read it, Mike Putnam posted a very illuminating and, in my opinion, spot on the money post in Flightsim.com's FS2002 forum:http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DC...ID10/29537.htmlTo my mind, the forums in Flightsim sites are there to provide help, and share ideas about the hobby we all participate in. The reporting of relevant news pertaining to that is also important. What isn't, is the constant abuse, name calling and often slanderous allegations that seem to be rife in that forum. The tone of the thread that initiated that topic there is by no means unusual.I have decided to migrate over here as a permanent place of residence in the hope that…

Ok, I downloaded PAI's Delta pack the other day, and after waiting for 30 minutes to take off, I decided it was time to get onto the AFCAD bandwagon and activate multiple runways. After downloading and installing Richard Mohammed's file for Atlanta and installing it like was described, I started up a flight. The aicraft appeared to be sitting on their belly as the flight was loading up, then once everything was loaded, they "wiggled" themselves into the ground. I tried editing the altitude of 2ATL, 3ATL and 4ATL to 1033 as my altimeter read while on the ground (KATL line indicates 1042). This didn't help. Can anyone give me an idea on how to fix this, I'm just starti…

Citation Pilots: I am planning to finish a Cessna Citation Bravo in the next week, which I call the Basic Bravo. It was designed in FSDS and converted to GMAX. Is anyone interested in testing it? It's no Falcon 50, but it does have landing lights, taxi lights, trailing link gear and thrust reversers. Any takers? Kaydub

Does FS 2002 have a limit on the number of planes you can have in your aircraft folder? I also race the NASCAR simulators and they limit such things as numbers of tracks and cars you can have, so I wondered if FS had similar limitations.KP

Please tell me again, please, where I change the eyepoint of the panel height again. I forgot. I just downloaded Stephan's DC-10 panel and FS- 2002 fix, but looking out, the panel almost seems like a IFR panel. I need to permanently lower it a few notches. Please re-inform me of the adjustment. Thanks, Stan
